Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Robbins with the Rev. Ernest Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Family Cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County and a student.

Surviving are mother, Thelma T. Long of Robbins; brothers, Daniel R. Long and Johnny D. Long, both of Robbins; grandfather, Robert Molesworth of Robbins; grandmother, Rita M. Tomblin of Lowell, Mass.; great-grandmother, Agnes Molesworth of Robbins.

The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins 7-9 p.m. Sunday and other times at the home of Connie Troyer, 435 Virginia Ave., Robbins.

RANDLEMAN - Librada Yare "Libby" Lucas, 69, of 524 Woodoak Trail, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home Randleman with the Rev. Doug Byrd officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Graham Memorial Park in Graham.

She was a native of the Philippines, a member of Uwharrie Baptist Church and a former employee of Nixon Reynolds Hosiery Mill.

Surviving are husband, Vernon Lucas of Randleman; daughter, Edith Atanacio of Burlington; stepdaughters, Marie Carter of Greensboro and Lynda Allison of Long Island, N.Y.; stepsons, Wayne Lucas, Steve Lucas and William Lucas, all of Greensboro, and Marshall Lucas of Crossville, Tenn.; brother, Arturo "DoDong" Ramos of the Philippines; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Monday and other times at the home.

Frances T. Jarrett
Frances Allie Talbert Jarrett, 73, of 554 Windsor Drive, Asheboro, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. W. Russell Ward Jr. and Mary Hillard officiating. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the widow of Jerry Jarrett and retired from Union Carbide.

Surviving are daughter, Patricia Ann Jarrett of Asheboro; sisters, Elva Talbert of Jamestown, Gladys Roy of Carroll County, Va.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Hazel C. Wright

Hazel Clary Wright, 87, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a native of Davie County, a retired employee of Belk's Department Store and a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are son, Arthur Eugene Wright of Pennsville, N.J.; sister, Irene Hathaway of Newport, Va.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.

Roy L. Smith

Roy Lawrence Smith, 85, of 1919 Latham Harvell Road, Asheboro, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Knoll Cemetery.

He was a native of Davidson County, retired from Bossong Hosiery and was a former Sunday School teacher and deacon at his church.

Surviving are wife, Gillie Scott Smith; sons, Maxton Smith of Pittsboro, Jerry Smith of Kingsport, Tenn.; daughters, Emily S. Poe, Phyllis Hurley, both of Asheboro, Sandra Mirtsching of Morganton; brothers, Colon Smith of Asheboro, Bynum Smith of Trinity; sisters, Grace Stout of Asheboro, Opal Frye of High Point, Mary Lou Thomas of New London, Rosa Lee Mobley of Vero Beach, Fla., Myrtie Younts of Lexington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 6:30-9 p.m. Monday.

LIBERTY - William Lee Cooper Sr., 63, of 7363 Ferguson Road, Lot #9, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holly's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County and employed with C.W. Robey Painting and Wallpaper Contractors.

Surviving are wife, Doris Hicks Cooper of the home; daughters, Darlene Minter of Ramseur, Tabatha Thompson of Asheboro; son., William Lee Copper Jr. of Ramseur; mother, Rosa Lee Perry of Fayetteville; stepfather, James Perry of Fayetteville; sister, Margaret Ann Jones of Fayetteville; five grandchildren.

The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home of Jessie and Suzie Stuart, 645 Ramseur-Julian Road, Ramseur.

CARTHAGE - Isaac J. Flinchum, 93, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Pinehurst Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Priest Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Greg Newton officiating.

He was a native of Surry County and a retired farmer.

Surviving are daughter, Bernice Dowd of Carthage; sons, Junior Flinchum of Carthage, Billy Joe Flinchum of Climax; stepdaughter, Leigh Welstead of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; 13 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Fry-Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, 7-8:30 p.m. Monday.

ROBBINS - Marion Brower Johnson, 66, of 5011 N.C. 705, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at her home.

SILER CITY - Logan Taylor Hall, 17-month-old daughter of Kenneth D. Hall and Ashley Mann Hall of 106 Ridge Court, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at Chatham Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Loves Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roy Helms officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving in addition to the parents are grandparents, Dwight Hall, Jewel Teague Hall, both of Siler City, Linda Martin of High Point; stepgrandfather, Jim Martin of High Point; great-grandparents, Edna Hall of High Point, Grady Teague, Roberta Teague, both of Siler City.

The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Velma B. Braswell

TROY - Velma Bailey Braswell, 83, of 106 Glenn Road, died Monday, June 29, 1998, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Lee Church and the Rev. Grady Blakely officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery.

She was a native of Union County, the widow of Horace Braswell and retired from McRae Shoes.

Surviving are daughter, Peggy B. Moore of Denton; sons, Arnold Braswell of Tulsa, Okla., Terry Braswell of Troy; sisters, Juanita Callicutt, Beatrice Braswell, both of Troy, Nina Stevens of Charlotte, Jean Godwin of Marshville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home.

ROBBINS - Marion Estella Brower Johnson, 66, of 5011 N.C. 705, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at her home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, with Pastor John Rudd officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery.

She was a member of Bear Creek Congregational Church and retired from Luck's Food Distribution Company.

Surviving are husband, Joseph Johnson of the home; sons, Jeffery Leon Johnson, Ricky Johnson, both of Seagrove, Cleveland Johnson of Siler City; daughters, Linda Chisholm, Geneice Powell, Dequilla Spencer, all of Robbins, Shelby McKeithen of Vass, Camilla Marsh of Chapel Hill; sisters, Louvene Davis, Ella Mae Brower, both of Robbins, Louise Powell of Elizabeth City, Jewell Horton of Freeport Long Island, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the church 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

FOREST CITY - Earl Wayne King, 50, of 206 Brookmont Ave., died Monday, June 29, 1998, at his home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tanners Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Pat Jobe officiating. A graveside service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Union Grove United Church of Christ Cemetery, Asheboro.

He was a native of Randolph County, a supervisor with A.G. Industries and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Brenda Tedder King; sons, Brian Wayne King, James Earl King, both of Forest City; daughter, Susan Marie King of Concord; mother, Belva Thomas King of Asheboro; brothers, David King of Burlington, Larry King of Apex, Roger King of Farmer.

The family will be at Harrelson Funeral Home, Caroleen, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Raymond Terry

ASHEVILLE - Raymond "Jerry" Terry, 75, of Flat Rock, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, in Hendersonville.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Flat Rock, where he was a member, with the Rev. Palmer Clemmer officiating.

He was a native of Northport, Long Island, N.Y., a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and, with his wife, owned and operated Terry Jewelers in Northport, N.Y., for 40 years.

Surviving are wife, Dorothy Terry; son, Robert Charles Terry of Hillsboro, N.H.; daughters, Christine Joyce Hendrickson of Asheboro, Bette Alice Gilberti of Gloucester, Va., Jerelyn Anne Corcoran of Lake Toxaway; 11 grandchildren.

Asheville Mortuary Services, Asheville, is in charge of the arrangements.

COLUMBUS, GA. - Ret. Major Cecil W. Parks, 85, of 3885 Maryland Circle, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, Ga.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday at McMullen Funeral Home, Columbus, Ga. Burial was in Parkhill Cemetery.

He was a native of Franklinville, the widower of Maxine Parks and was retired from the U.S. Army where he was a veteran of World War II and Vietnam.

Surviving are stepson, Grover Ellis of Columbus, Ga.; sister, Frances Varn of Charleston, S.C.; brothers, Don Parks, Richard Parks, Charles Parks, all of Franklinville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Raymond L. Schoeberle
Raymond Leonard Schoeberle, 77, of 825 Cliff Road, Asheboro, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Randolph Hospital.

ETHER - John Chason "J.C." "Jake" Cagle Jr., 67, of 1865 Adams Road, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clarence Garner officiating.

He was a native of Randolph County and founder of United Products of Asheboro.

Surviving are sons, Donnie R. Cagle, Jeffery Cagle, both of Ether; daughters, Tammy Dupree, Teresa Teague, both of Ether; brothers, Bobby R. Cagle, Ronnie G. Cagle, both of Ether, Tony G. Cagle of Winston-Salem; sister, Janie Sennett of Raleigh; three grandchildren.

The family will be at Phillips Funeral Home, Star, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Jessie P. McCrimmon

GLENDON - Cora Chriscoe Fields, 84, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

She was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker.
