WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Moyer L. Harris Sr., 90, formerly of High Point, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point, with the Rev. Melvin Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.

He was the widower of Mildred Harris, a member of the Numa F. Reid Masonic Lodge #344 in High Point and a former member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Asheboro.

Surviving are son, Moyer L, Harris Jr. of Westerville, Ohio; one grandson.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.

Jonathan H. Miller
ASHEBORO - Jonathan Hezekiah Miller, infant son of Jonathan M. and Virginia Cox Miller of 2347 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at West Asheboro Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carl Ziegler and Paul Trollinger officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Surviving in addition to the parents are grandparents, Doris Miller, and Charles W. "Bud" and Vera Cox, all of Asheboro.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Saturday.

Rev. Wilson Goins
HARLINGEN, Texas - Rev. Wilson Goins, 77, of 1913 Martha St., died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at the home of his son in Santa Rosa, Texas.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. A. J. Kendrick and the Rev. Alvin Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Christian Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County, a former pastor and Sunday School teacher, retired from Millikan Sausage Company, a member of Crestview Wesleyan Church and a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.

Surviving are wife, Cloyce Beane Goins of the home; sons, Ricky Goins of Asheboro, Timothy Goins of Santa Rosa, Texas; sister, Georgia Hawkins of Lake City, S.C.; eight grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Saturday, other times at the home of Ricky Goins, 3299 U.S. 220 Business South, Asheboro.

CAMERON - Eunice Maples Atkins, 86, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eugene Ussery officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memory Gardens, Sanford.

She was a native of Moore County, the widow of D. Clayton Atkins and a retired Cameron Elementary school employee.

Surviving are daughter, Carol Church of Charlotte; son, Jimmie Atkins of Carthage; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild.

The family will be at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, 7-9 p.m. Saturday, other times at the home of Jimmie Atkins, 334 Gilchrist Road, Carthage.

Neatie K. Harris
ASHEBORO - Neatie Kelly Harris, 91, formerly of 537 Peachtree St., Asheboro, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Britthaven of Piedmont, Albemarle.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Terry Kersey officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of Stacy William Harris and retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing.

Surviving are sisters, Cora K. Shoe and Kate Cook, both of Albemarle.

The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Lynn M. Terry
ASHEBORO - Marilynn "Lynn" Mosher Terry, 81, of 631 W. Kivett St., Asheboro, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Randolph Hospital.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Bishop Paul Hiatt officiating.

She was graduate of Wells College in Aurora, N.Y., and retired from Eveready Battery.

Surviving are son, William B. Terry Jr. of Asheboro; brother, Evans W. Mosher of Penfield, N.Y.; five grandchildren.

Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, is in charge of the arrangements.

Frank Shepherd
MT. GILEAD - Frank Shepherd, 61, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Harris Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.

He was a native of Mocksville.

Surviving are brothers, Bobby Shepherd Sr. of the home, James E. Shepherd of Winston-Salem, Bruce Shepherd of Alabama.

Nancy B. Campbell
WINSTON-SALEM - Nancy Beasley Campbell, 63, of Roaring Gap, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.

A private service will be held.

She was the widow of Lorne Campbell.

Memorial Funeral Chapel, Winston-Salem, is in charge of the arrangements.

Frances J. Macon
SEAGROVE - Frances Jones Macon, 72, of 4674 Little Beane Store Road, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at her home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bruce McLanahan and the Rev. Herman White officiating. Burial will be at her home, 4674 Little Beane Store Road.

She was a native of Randolph County, a member of Harmony Baptist Church, High Point, and retired from K-Lynn Furniture.

Surviving are husband, Jack F. Macon of the home; son, Gideon Nathaniel Macon of Denton; daughters, Lyndia Sue Macon of Winston-Salem, Judy Gail M. Kidd of Thomasville; sisters, Doris J. Smith of Franklinville, Rebecca J. Watson of Asheboro; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the home.

John H. Beeson
RANDLEMAN - John Harold Beeson, 8O, of 1532 Steed Road, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at his home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Square Friends Meeting House, where he was a member, with the Rev. Eric Woods and the Rev. Ben Hurley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County, a 1940 graduate of Trinity High School, and co-founder of Beeson Rhododendron Nursery, Inc. He was a dairy farmer, a charter member of New Market Civitans, and a superintendent, Sunday School teacher, trustee of the Meeting and Clerk of the monthly Meeting, at his church.

Surviving are wife, Lelia McDowell Beeson of the home; daughter, Ann B. Sasser of Burnsville; sons, John Blake Beeson, Roger William Beeson, both of Randleman; sisters, Virginia Griffith of High Point, Carolyn Overton of Sophia; brother, Richard C. "Pete" Beeson of Randleman; two grandsons; two stepgrandchildren.

The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, Archdale, 6-8 p.m. Monday.

Leslie A. Vuncannon
HIGH POINT - Leslie Ann Vuncannon, 22, died Friday, July 13, 2001.

A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel, Greensboro. Inurnment will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

She was a native of Guilford County, attended Ragsdale High School, graduated from Greensboro Technical Community College and was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church.

Surviving are mother and stepfather, Debra S. Lawson and Tim Lawson of Asheboro; father, Joe Vuncannon; grandparents, Martha Shaw, Richard and Ann Shaw, and Minnie Vuncannon.

The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Monday.

Louise B. Morris
TROY - Louise Bristow Morris, 78, of 619 Morris Drive, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Robert Dowling officiating. Burial will be in Long Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was a native of Hoke County and a homemaker.

Surviving are sons, Bobby Morris of Troy, Butch Morris of Sanford; daughter, Patsy M. Hayes of Asheboro; brothers, Bill Bristow of Raleigh, Gene Bristow of Troy; sister, Polly Brown of Troy; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

CANDOR - Tanya Gail Brown, 23, of Freeman Drive, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Phillips and the Rev. Mike Holyfield officiating. Burial will be in Cross Roads Baptist Church, Robbins.

She was a native of Moore County and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Surviving are mother and stepfather, Sue and Larry Lemonds of Candor; sister, Hannah Brown of Candor; half brother, Kevin Brown of Aberdeen; stepgrandparents, T. K. and Jessie Lemonds of Candor.

The family will be at the funeral home 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.

Carl N. Davis
FRANKLINVILLE - Carl Nelson Davis, 78, of 3364 Walker Store Road, died Sunday, July 15, 2001.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whites Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeff Joyce officiating.

He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Burlington Industries, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Jerry Davis of Randleman, Mike Davis of Charlotte; brothers, Henry Davis and Kent Davis, both of Franklinville, Joe Davis and Danny Davis, both of Burlington; sisters, Peggy York of Ramseur, Betty Lewallen of Asheboro; four grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home.

He was a native of Randolph County and retired from the N.C. State Highway Department.

Surviving are wife, Mary Millikan Kirkman of Asheboro; son, James T. Kirkman of Franklinville; daughter, Brenda K. Hammer of Asheboro; brothers, Earl L. Kirkman and Ed Kirkman, both of Franklinville, Walter L. Kirkman of Asheboro, Odell Kirkman of Ramseur; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Francis J. Mimlitsch
DENTON - Francis Joseph Mimlitsch, 67, of Shirley Road, Lexington, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church, Lexington, with the Rev. Roy Queen officiating.

He was a native of Allentown, Pa., owner and operator of Fixit Refrigeration for 30 years in Marlton, N.J., a former member of Southmont Lions Club and a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Irene Bachman Mimlitsch of the home; sons, Glenn D. Mimlitsch of Marlton, N.J., Kurt J. Mimlitsch of Medford, N.J.; brothers, Paul J. Mimlitsch of Tioga, Pa., Gerald Mimlitsch of Easton, Pa.; four grandchildren.

She was a native of Miami, Fla., and formerly worked in food service preparation in a local nursing home.

Brewer of Bennett; sons, George Applewhite of Ellerbe, Roy Applewhite of Bennett, Ralph Applewhite of Siler City; brothers, Bruce Farrah of Miami, Fla., Gerald Turner of Lafayette, La.; sister, Sarah Johnson of Brunswick, Ga.; eight grandchildren.

The family will be at Joyce-Brady Funeral Home, Bennett, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home of Roy Applewhite, 270 Ronnie Brown Road, Bennett.

NASHVILLE, Ga. - Jimmy Lee Barker, 45, of Trinity, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, in Randolph Hospital.

He was a native of Cook County, Ga., and a construction worker.

Shigley of Marion, Ind., Mona Rose Allen, of Buford, Ga.; brother, the Rev. Hal T. Brown of Asheboro; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
