AVON PARK, Fla. - Percy Nolan Revell, 77, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at the Oaks at Avon, Sebring, Fla.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jesse Stanaland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.

He was a native of Sop Choppy, Fla., and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are wife, Arkie Wells Revell of Avon Park, Fla.; son, John Revell of Asheboro; daughters, Linda McClellan of Avon Park, Fla., Kelly Ruell of Wausau, Fla.; brother, Ancil Bryant of Bonifay, Fla.; sisters, Claris Bodie of Panacea, Fla., Lenora Bryan of Lakeland, Fla., Betty Bryant Macumber of Vernon, Fla.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Peel Funeral Home, Bonifay, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

Frances B. Craven
FRANKLINVILLE - Frances Brown Craven, 80, of 420 Faith Rock Road, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at SunBridge of Asheboro.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Center Christian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Jacob A. Camp officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Guilford County and retired from Russell Hosiery Mill.

Surviving are stepson, B.J. Craven of Greensboro; stepdaughters, Tensie Greene of Vinton, Va., Ruth Butler of Randleman; sister, Dorothy Brown of Franklinville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the home of the sister, 392 Faith Rock Road, Franklinville.

Brenda Haithcock
LIBERTY - Brenda Haithcock, 55, of 104 W. Frazier Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

No service is planned at this time.

She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a choir member.

Surviving are daughters, Louise Nicole Haithcock of Liberty, Angela Sue Haithcock of Asheboro; father, Richard Wright of Liberty; sister, Rickie Martin of Liberty; three grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty, 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, other times at the home of the sister, 605 S. Fayetteville St., Liberty.

Dorothy P. Lahmeyer
JAMES ISLAND, S.C. - Dorothy Petit Lahmeyer, 89, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home, Charleston, S.C. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

She was a native of Charleston, S.C., and the widow of Archie J.S. Lahmeyer. She attended Memminger High School, was a member of St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, a retired switchboard operator with Roper Hospital and a telephone operator with Southern Bell.

Surviving are daughters, Sonja L. Baxley of James Island, S.C., Sharon L. Hall of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; sons, Archie J. Lahmeyer of Atlanta, Ga., Carl L. Lahmeyer of Wando, S.C., Wayne D. Lahmeyer of Asheboro; brother, Carl D. Petit of Charleston, S.C.; sister, Jessie P. Doran of Charleston, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Lola P. Gaddis
ASHEBORO - Lola Estelle Pugh Gaddis, 85, of Carolina House of Asheboro, died Monday Sept. 10, 2001, at Carolina House.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, with the Rev. William Leist officiating.

She was a native of Greensboro, a member of First Presbyterian Church, formerly employed by Acme-McCrary and Nantucket Hosiery, a self-employed seamstress, and a volunteer with Christian United Outreach Center.

Surviving are daughter, Doris G. Wright of Asheboro; sisters, Frances P. Smith, Muriel P. Cox, both of Asheboro, Virginia P. Cash of High Point; brothers, John Q. Pugh Jr. of Asheboro, David R. Pugh of Clemmons; half brothers, Rev. Adrian Pugh, Rev. Randall Pugh, Rev. Dwayne Pugh and Rev. Anthony Pugh; stepmother, Annie S. Pugh of Ramseur; two grandchildren; one great-grandson.

The family will be at Hampton Inn, Asheboro, following the service.

LIBERTY - Grace Truman Curtis Staley, 77, of 5595 Troy Smith Road, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Randolph Hospital.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Lonnie Murray officiating.

She was a member of Richland Gospel Church and a retired employee of Laughlin Hosiery Mill, Randleman.

Surviving are husband, Ralph Staley of Liberty; daughters, Shelia Humble of Climax, Neva Maillet of Liberty, Denise Salesky of Springfield, Va.; sons, Curtis Kinlaw of Asheboro, Dennis Kinlaw of the home; brother, Frank Curtis of Liberty; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home of Neva Maillet, 5537 Troy Smith Road, Liberty.

Lillian B. Bostian
GREENSBORO - Lillian Bailey Bostian, 76, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Westminster Gardens.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the widow of Ray Bostian, and a seamstress, gardener and pianist.

Surviving are sons, Jonathan Bostian of McLeansville, Steve Bostian of Greensboro; sisters, Leola Mitchell of Michigan, Bea Wrenn of Madison; brothers, Pat Bailey of Asheboro, Max Bailey of Rockingham County; four grandchildren.

The family will be at the cemetery following the service.

DENTON - Ralph Ours, 75, of 348 Pineridge Road, Pinehaven, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at Stanly Hospital, Albemarle.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lick Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Hulon Pait officiating. Burial will be in Lamphier Cemetery in Eldred, Pa., at a later date.

He was a native of Buckhannon, W. Va., the widower of Mabel Arlene Bashline Ours, and a retired supervisor with Dresser Clark in New York.

Surviving are wife, Hilda Click Yates Ours of the home; sons, Loxie Ours, Randy Ours, Richard Ours, Howard Vonscoter, all of Eldred, Pa., Ricky Ours of Olean, N.Y.; daughters, Debbie Baker of Eldred, Pa., Claudie Anthony of Troy; stepsons, Kurt Yates, Bill Yates, Phillip Yates, all of Denton; sisters, Irene Stemple of Lakeland, Fla., Louise Corder of Buckhannon, W. Va.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren.

The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home.

ASHEBORO - Emma Juanita Keen Street, 74, of 3826 U.S. 64 East, Asheboro, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at her home.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Ansel Childress and the Rev. Randy Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Maple Springs UMC Cemetery.

She was a native of Buchanan County, Va., and retired from Wainman Furniture in Ramseur.

Surviving are husband, McKinley "Ken" Street of the home; daughters, Alice "Sue" Jones of Ramseur, Janie S. White of Asheboro, Faye Street of Durham; sons, Dallas Street of Franklinville, Carlos Street of Siler City, James C. Street of Valdese; sister, Minnie Hess of Burlington; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Fannie S. McAnulty
ROBBINS - Fannie Stutts McAnulty, 91, of 816 Lonnie Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ray Brooks and the Rev. Clarence Garner officiating. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County, a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women and the Joy Club at her church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are daughter, Sarah M. Lane of Robbins; sons, Harold J. McAnulty of Melbourne, Fla., Bill McAnulty of Asheboro; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home.

Jehugh C. Burke Sr.
SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. - Jehugh C. Burke Sr., 90, formerly of Bear Creek, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Newton General Hospital, Covington, Ga.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, with the Rev. Joe Casteel officiating. Burial will be in Meroney United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bear Creek.

He was a native of Chatham County, the widower of Gladys Hough Burke, and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

Surviving are wife, Mazie B. Burke of Social Circle, Ga., daughters, Doris Mashburn of Carbonton, Janiene Glenn of Lithonia, Ga., Harriet Cagle of Social Circle, Ga.; son, J.C. Burke Jr. of Woodstock, Ga.; sisters, Emma Moore, Margie Clark, both of Siler City; brother, C.R. Burke of Siler City; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the home of Max and Ginny Hough, 1782 Lee St., Siler City, following the service.

Ava Lee Fike
SILER CITY - Ava Lee Fike died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Laurels of Chatham Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Evans Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, with the Rev. Ridie Headen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Chatham County and was a retired CNA at Chatham Hospital.

Surviving are brothers, James David "J.D." Fike of Siler City and Alex Fike of Chicago, Ill.

The family will be at the church 10:30-11 a.m. Thursday, other times at the home of Ruth Mapp, 327 E. 11th St.

Farrar Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

Kimberly P. Sheppard
CARTHAGE - Kimberly Preslar Sheppard, 33, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William A. Stewart Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County and a former employee of FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Surviving are mother, Linda C. Preslar of Carthage; sisters, Brenda Bailey of Carthage, Melinda Reese of Laurinburg; brother, Hank Preslar of Asheboro.

The family will be at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday.

Richard J. Garrison
THOMASVILLE - Richard Joseph "Buddy" Garrison, 63, of 600 Old Raleigh Road, Lot 15, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, in High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home, Thomasville. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was a native of Prince County, Md., and a retired employee with Alamance Glass Co. of Asheboro

Surviving are wife, Judy T. Reynolds Garrison of the home; daughter, Sandra K. Garrison of Archdale; son, Richard Joseph Garrison Jr. of Archdale; stepdaughters, Barbara Jean Echerd of Trinity, Linda Faye Underwood and Brenda Kay Anderson, both of Thomasville; stepsons, John Wayne Reynolds of Mt. Airy, William Earl Reynolds of Kannapolis; sisters, Barbara Garrison and Carrie McLaine, both of Maryland; brothers, William "Butch" Garrison, Paul "Buttercup" Garrison, Tommy Garrison, all of Maryland; six grandchildren; ex-wife, Edith K. Rice Garrison of Asheboro.

LEXINGTON - Jeraldine Hedrick Thomason, 74, of Becks Nursery Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, with the Rev. Roy Queen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.

She was a native of Davidson County and a homemaker.

Surviving are husband, James Alex Thomason of the home; daughters, Jeanette Cooper, Elizabeth Lopp; brothers, Clifford Hedrick, Harlen Hedrick, both of Lexington; sisters, Marie Seaford of Lexington, Blanche Essick of Asheboro; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

ASHEBORO - Clyde L. "Bud" Maness, 66, of Asheboro, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Jody Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a self-employed brick mason and employed with Asheboro Construction.

Surviving are wife, Verlene L. Maness; son, Randy Lee Maness of Asheboro; daughter, Teresa M. Trogdon of Kannapolis; brothers, D. A. Maness Jr., James H. Maness, both of Asheboro, Lewis R. Maness of Chapel Hill; sister, Carolyn M. Delk of Asheboro; three grandchildren.

RAMSEUR - James Royal Roach, 89, of 9973 U.S. 64 East, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at his home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Gary Moger and the Rev. Kevin Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Kildee Wesleyan Church cemetery.

He was a native of Axton, Va., and retired from Burlington Industries.

Surviving are wife, Marjorie Frazier Roach of the home; daughter, Jean Bateman of South Carolina; sisters, Mary Page of Reidsvllle, Dakota French of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, with the Rev. J. Keith Auman officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

She was a native of Moore County, the widow of Ridgon D. Duggins, a retired textile worker, and a member of Worthville United Methodist Church, Worthville.

Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth Rich of Greensboro, Sue Ann Ferguson of Randleman; sisters, Marie Duggins, Frances Bowman, both of Worthville; four grandsons; five great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Friday, other times at the home of Sue Ann Ferguson, 408 Cagle St., Randleman.
