Jan had a positive influence on many people, both in school and out. She enjoyed golf, playing piano and telling stories. Member, Trinity United Methodist Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Former member, LEA; NSEA; NEA; PEO, chapter GD. Received her bachelor's and master's degrees in elementary education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
