Inurnment was in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Randy Streeton of Lincoln; one brother, Charles (Mary Alyce) Grow of North Platte; one sister, Doris Harrison of Plattsburg, N.Y.; a stepson, Anthony Streeton of Lincoln; nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Bremer
Former Aurora resident Elizabeth Bremer, 80, of Omaha, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Services were Thursday, Sept. 7 in Higby Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. Rev. Monty Nelson officiated. Burial was in the Aurora Cemetery.

Trenton Joseph Scholl, 21, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000 in his home in Lincoln. Funeral services were Aug. 23 at the Berean Church at Friend. Pastor Kevin Workman officiated. DeLorris Huebert, 72, of Henderson, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000 in Lincoln. Funeral services were Thursday afternoon, Aug. 24, 2000 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Rev. She is survived by two sons, Randy (Joni) Huebert of Aurora and Jimmy (Michelle) Huebert of Baltimore, Md.; four daughters, Sandra (Arnie) Klassen of Henderson, Joan (Jim) Donner of Lincoln, Kathleen (Jack) Taormina of Corona, Calif., and Marcie Huebert of York; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Huebert of Henderson; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dinah (Carl) Siebert of Henderson and Carol (Ralph) Kroeker of Sun City, Ariz.

Gladys Peterson
Gladys Peterson, 91, of Aurora, died Friday morning, Aug. 25, 2000 at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 28 in the United Methodist Church in Phillips. Rev. Nora Leeds and Dr. Joe Schaill officiated. Burial was in the Phillips Cemetery. She is survived by her sister, Nellie Luthy and husband Clarence of Aurora; a nephew, Dallas Luthy and wife Doretha of Phillips; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; 10 great-great nephews and five great-great nieces.

Emmett Shoup
Emmett L. Shoup, 80, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000 at the Tiffany Square in Grand Island. Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 29 at First Methodist Church in Central City. Rev. Dale Sallans officiated. Burial was in the Hordville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Rogene; two daughters, Karla Blase of Gothenburg and Rhea (Rich) Parsons; son, Kim (Kris) all of Clarks; and seven grandchildren.

Jody (Reyner) Carpenter
Jody Kay (Reyner) Carpenter, 44, of Dunning, formerly of the Marquette area, died at her home in Dunning Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, after a battle with cancer. Funeral services were Saturday afternoon, Jan. 27 at the Chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City. Rev. Ralph McKay officiated. Burial was in the Richland Cemetery near Marquette. Survivors include her husband, Gerald of Dunning; a daughter, Jackie Carpenter of Dunning; a son, Gerald Dale Carpenter II and his wife Lorena of North Platte; two grandchildren, Kandace and Lane Carpenter, both of North Platte; three brothers, Greg of Topeka, Kan., Earl and his wife Cindy of Marquette and Levi of Marquette; three sisters-in-law, Jana White of Marquette; June Brophy of Marquette and Jill and her husband Charles Cadwallader of Marquette.

Benjamin Joseph Fanta, 7 months, of Yankton, S.D., died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Mich. Funeral services were Monday morning, Jan. 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. John Fischer officiated. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton, S.D. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Susan Fanta of Yankton, S.D.; two brothers, Paul and John, at home; a sister, Lauren, at home; maternal grandparents, Francis and Patricia McDonald of Phillips; paternal grandparents, Willie and Marlene Fanta of Creighton; and many aunts and uncles.

Lila Lee Kremer, 67, of Aurora, died Saturday morning, Jan. 20, 2001 at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. There was a memorial service Tuesday morning, Jan. 23 at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Paul Nauman officiated. There was a private family burial at the Aurora Cemetery before the memorial service. She is survived by her children: Gregg and his wife Suzanne of Aurora, Brian and his wife Julie of Camarillo, Calif., Susan Williams and her husband Stuart of Aurora and Julie Nelson and her husband Kirk of Cody, Wyo.; one grandson, Cody Kremer of Camarillo, Calif.; two grandchildren expected this summer; and a sister, Marilyn Breshears and her husband, Joe of Fort Worth, Tex.

Vera M. Monson, 83, of Aurora (formerly of Grand Island), died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001 at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral services were Friday morning, Jan. 19 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Burial was Friday afternoon at the Saronville Lutheran Cemetery, Saronville. Memorials are directed to the Calvary Lutheran Church or the Grand Generation Center. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Monson of Grand Island; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Milton Ulmer of Hastings and Vance Ulmer of Aurora; and a sister, Irma Horst of Tacoma, Wash.

Orville K. Bieck
Orville K. Bieck, 72, of Harvard, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 23 in the Trumbull, Methodist Church in Trumbull. Rev. Jeff Hale officiated. Burial was in the First Evangelical Cemetery northwest of Harvard; there were military rites conducted at the graveside. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a son, Bryan of Trumbull; two daughters, Sherry Jarzynka and Sally Elley, both of Hastings; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Woodward of Harvard and Dorothy Nicholson of Lincoln.

Helena A. Stark, 91, formerly of Webster Groves, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 at Tiburon, Calif. Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Aurora Cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Stark Hirni and her husband Robert and Judith Stark Barnett and her husband, John; and grandchildren, Judy Hirni, Elizabeth Hirni Marshak, Maria Hirni, Rebecca Barnett Olivarez and Michael Barnett.

Elsa Leona (Larson) Chamberlain, 71, of Tekamah, mother of Kathryn Jennings of Aurora, died Thursday, March 29, 2001 at the Montgomery County Hospital in Red Oak. Funeral services were Monday, April 2 at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Tekamah; two daughters, Cecelia (Tom) Dorn of Lincoln and Kathryn (Duane) Jennings of Aurora; one son, John Chamberlain of Tekamah; three grandchildren, Jacob Gatewood of Omaha, Sara and John Paul Dorn of Lincoln; one brother-in-law, Wendell Nordby of Rushford, Minn.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Warren G. Breiner, 72, of rural Savonburg, Kan., died Tuesday evening, March 27, 2001 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kan. Funeral services were Friday afternoon, March 30 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Humboldt, Kan. Rev. David Meier officiated. Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
