RED BLUFF, Calif. - Jean Roberta Hammond Wyberg, 83, a former Concord resident, died Nov. 27, 2000. She was born in Concord. She was a technical illustrator for many years for Bechtel Corp. She retired to Red Bluff, Calif., in 1975. Survivors include two daughters, Gayle Kellam of Shady Cove, Ore., and Carolyn Wyberg of Red Bluff, Calif.; two sisters, Elinor Godfrey of Red Bluff, Calif., and Lee Craft of Anderson, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Kellam of Shady Cove, Ore., and Ami Gerber of Red Bluff, Calif. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

Richard J. Freo, CONCORD

CONCORD - Richard J. Freo, 76, died Friday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Concord, the son of Pasquale and Adella (Flamand) Freo He graduated from Concord High School in 1943. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II veteran. He was wounded in action in 1945 while stationed in the Pacific and received the Purple Heart. He was employed by Rumford Press for 33 years, retiring in 1984. He then worked at the Concord Union School District Transportation Department until 1991. While at the Rumford Press he served as shop steward for the International Typographical Union. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 112; the Disabled American Veterans; the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had been an active volunteer at St. John's School and Bishop Brady High School. In addition to his mother, Adella Freo of Concord, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Josephine (Viscuso) Freo of Concord; a son, Philip Freo of Jacksonville, Fla.; twin daughters, June Pangakis and Jo-Ann David, both of Concord, and six grandchildren. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 S. Main St., Concord. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Merrimack County Nursing Home SCU, 325 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen 03303.

Raymond A. Manning, NEW LONDON

NEW LONDON - Raymond A. Manning, 81, of Tracy Road, died Saturday at his home. He was born in East Hartford, Conn., the son of Charles and Gladys (Howard) Manning. He was raised in East Hartford, Conn., and spent many years in West Hartford, Conn. He graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. He worked as vice president of Travelers Insurance Co. and for Eastman in Grantham until retiring. He moved to New London 12 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of New London and the Country Squires. He enjoyed cruising in his convertible, jazz music and golfing. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marjorie Manning; and a son, David Manning. Survivors include his second wife, J. Elisabeth (Bartschi) Manning of New London; a daughter, Linda Morris of Grantham; a brother, Edward Manning of South Windsor, Conn.; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of New London. The Rev. Richard Dutton, pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tracy Memorial Library, P.O. Box 1919, New London 03257; or the American Heart Association, New England Affiliates, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Mass. 01701-4688. Jay A. Flanders, PITTSFIELD

PITTSFIELD - Jay Alan Flanders, 45, of Watson Street, died Sunday at Concord Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Concord, the son of Robert and Grace (Davis) Flanders. He was a lifelong resident of the Pittsfield area. He was self-employed for many years until his illness. He loved fishing and camping. He was predeceased by his father, who died in 1979. Survivors include his wife, Ann Flanders of Concord; his mother of Pittsfield; two sons, Jay Flanders of Concord and Scott Flanders of Pittsfield; a brother, Jim Flanders of Pittsfield; four sisters, Jean Gallup of Pittsfield, Jane Flanders of Barnstead, Judy Flanders of Strafford and Joan Yeary of Vero Beach, Fla.; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton. The Rev. Charles Morgan, pastor of the First Congregational Church in Pittsfield, will officiate. Estelle C. Petit, PEMBROKE

PEMBROKE - Estelle Constance (Boisvert) Petit, 85, died Sunday at Pleasant View Health Care Center in Concord after a long illness. She was born in Concord, the daughter of Daniel and Marie (Martin) Boisvert. He was raised in Concord and was a longtime resident of Pembroke. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Concord High School in 1933. She owned and operated the Petit Funeral Home for more than 40 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the St. Theresa Rosebush Society and member and past president of the former Altar Guild. She was a volunteer at the Elliot Hospital gift shop for more than 10 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Gedeon Petit, who died in 1978; a son, Gedeon Petit, who died in 1992; and a baby daughter, Patricia Elise, who died in 1946. Survivors include three sons, Thomas Petit of Pembroke, Philip Petit of San Francisco, Calif., and Charles Petit of Boston; a daughter, Elizabeth Bouchard of Pembroke; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. Members of the Ladies of St. Anne and the St. Theresa Rosebush Society will meet tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home for a prayer service. PENACOOK - Richard N. Gagnon, 62, of Steeple View, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness. He was born in Allenstown, the son of Leo and Germaine (Belanger) Gagnon. He lived in Allenstown for many years, and lived in Concord and Penacook for more than 20 years. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army in Europe and during the Beirut Crisis. He worked as a foreman for Carter Rice Paper, Hood Milk and Everseal Burial Vault, Co. He was a coin collector and known as a regular at Alan's of Boscawen. He was predeceased by his wife, Freda (Tucker) Gagnon, who died in 1992. Survivors include a son, Rick Gagnon of Pembroke; four daughters, Janice Harris and Jeanne Chase, both of Concord, Sandy Chilcoat of Topeka, Kan., and Joyce Dever of Montgomery, Ala.; a brother, Robert Gagnon of Allenstown; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from noon to 1 p.m. at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown.

Maurice Duhaime, BARNSTEAD

BARNSTEAD - Maurice A. E. Duhaime, 83, of South Barnstead Road, died Sunday at his home after a long illness. He was born in Manchester, the son of Napoleon and Delias (Brochu) Duhaime. He was raised in the Pembroke-Allenstown area and moved to Barnstead in 1959. He served in the Army during World War II in Normandy and the Rhineland. He worked as a textile worker for Catamount Label in Barnstead, Universal in Pittsfield, in the maintenance department of the U.S. Post Office in Barnstead and for Textron in Suncook before retiring. He was predeceased by two siblings, Lucien Duhaime and Delia Houle. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lea (Giroux) Duhaime of Barnstead; a son, Daniel Duhaime of Barnstead; a daughter, Diane Drew of Hooksett; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 9 to 10 a.m. at Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. William A. Seidensticker Jr., FORESTVILLE, Md.

FORESTVILLE, Md. - William A. Seidensticker Jr., died Wednesday in Maryland while sailing in Chesapeake Bay. He was born in East Concord, the son of William and Sylvia Seidensticker Sr. He was raised in East Concord. He graduated from Concord High School in 1973. He worked in the Baltimore Washington area. He was an avid fisherman and sailor. He was a longtime member of Ironworkers Local No. 5. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, David Seidensticker. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sylvia and Robert Lethbridge of Concord; a son, Gabriel Seidensticker of Concord; two brothers, Cort Seidensticker of Boscawen and Mark Seidensticker of Ogunquit, Maine; two sisters, Tamela Dalrymple of Concord and Marsha Gwinn of Allenstown; a granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. GROTON, Mass. - Charlene (Dean) Raymond, 64, of Balsam Walk, died Wednesday at her home. She was born in North Adams, Mass., the daughter of Charles and Marion (Neumann) Dean. She was raised in Williamstown, Mass., and had lived in Groton, Mass., since 1956. She graduated from Williamstown High School. She worked at Sprague Electric, Cornish Wire, and later as a cook for the Groton School for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and collecting teddy bears and dolls. Survivors include her husband, Herman Raymond of Groton, Mass.; a son, Dana Raymond of Townsend, Mass.; two daughters, Carol Raymond and Rita Raymond, both of Massachusetts; a sister, Diane Dean of Concord; and three grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, Mass. Funeral services will be held on Friday at Groton School Chapel, Farmer Row, Groton, Mass. Burial will be held at Groton Cemetery in Groton, Mass. Frederick G. Place, WEBSTER

WEBSTER - Frederick G. Place, 11 months old, of 29 Beaver Dam Drive, died Friday at Concord Hospice after a long illness.
He was the son of Frederick and Kimberly (Viner) Place.
He is survived by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Frederick and Sue Anne Place of Concord; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Carol Viner of Blythewood, S.C.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 S. Main St., Concord. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery in Bow.

Frank A. Bergh, BRISTOL

BRISTOL - Frank A. Bergh, 93, of South Main Street, died yesterday at Franklin Regional Hospital. He was born in Malden, Mass., the son of Edward and Effie (McGreggor) Bergh. He lived in Bristol most his life. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a painting and papering contractor. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post No. 26 of Bristol. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and art work. Survivors include a son, Donald Bergh of Danbury; two daughters, Leona Dickerson of Concord and Lorna Patten of Bristol; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. His wife, Dorothy (Trumbull) Bergh, died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held in the spring in Homeland Cemetery. NORTH GROTON - Norman Erwin Wescott Sr., 77, of North Groton Road, died Monday at the Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth due to an illness. He was born in Franklin, the son of Guy and Mary (Miller) Wescott. He lived in Franklin, moving to North Groton in 1986. He attended Franklin schools. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a tester-machinist at the former Needle Shop in Franklin for many years; for Scott and Williams in Laconia; for International Packing Co. in Bristol; for Tex-Knit, Ltd. in Lochmere for six years; and Webster Valve in Franklin for more than 13 years before retiring. He served as a volunteer fireman with the Franklin Fire Department. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, A. Patricia (Bergeron) Wescott of North Groton; a son, Norman Wescott Jr. of Sanbornton; a daughter, Theresa Brothwell of Raymond; two brothers, Raymond Wescott of Contoocook and Robert Wescott of Coronado, Calif.; four sisters, Rita St. Cyr and Arlene Brough, both of Franklin, Jean Dearborn of Bridgewater and Madeline Marden of Quincy, Mass., two grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Calling hours will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. in the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road, Tilton. Burial will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with military honors in the chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
