Mary Mazzeo
Mary Mazzeo, 96, of Hammonton, died on Sunday, February 3 [2002], at the Greenbriar Nursing Center, in Hammonton.
She was born in Rosedale and was formerly of Elm, N.J. and was a resident of this area all her life.
She worked for the South Jersey Laundry in Hammonton for 20 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Laundry, Dry Cleaning and Dye House Workers International Union, Local 10, Philadelphia, Pa.
Surviving her are: two daughters, Marie Nye of Weymouth, N.J. and Florence Parry of Waldorf, Maryland; four sons, Peter Damiano of Detroit, Michigan, Daniel Damiano of Elm, N.J. Domenic Damiano of Mays Landing and Frank Damiano of Atco; a brother, William Rodio of Hammonton; two sisters, Jennie Mazzola, of Rochester, N.Y. and Margaret Flake, of Buena Acres, N.J.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Funeral Liturgy at St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Landolfi Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Anne C. Hornberger
Anne C. Hornberger, 89, of Buena Vista Twp., wife of the late Harry M. Hornberger, died on Wednesday, January 16 [2002], at the Cooper Medical Center, in Camden, N.J. She was born in Shenandoah, Pa. and formerly of Philadelphia where she was a Private Registered Nurse retiring in 1957. She was a member of the Hahnemann Hospital Alumnae Association and a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Folsom.
Surviving her are: several relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends attended Funeral Services on Monday, January 21, at the St. James Lutheran Church, Folsom, N.J. followed by interment in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Landolfi Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Anna M. Ordille
Anna M. Ordille, 83, of Logansport Ind., and formerly of Hammonton, died on Saturday, January 19 [2002] at the Chase Center.
She lived in Hammonton until moving to Indiana in 1972 where she finally ended up in Longansport. She was a devoted Catholic, and could write and speak very good Italian. She is predeceased by nine brothers and sisters and her parents.
Surviving her are: brothers, Frank Ordille and his wife Tessie of Hammonton, and Anthony Carbanaro “Shorty” and his wife Mildred of West Berlin, N.J.; and sister, Connie Hanson and her husband Bud of Blackwood, N.J.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were handled by Richards-Loy and Clapper Funeral Home of Lafayette, Ind.
Donations may be sent to the Chase Center, Logansport, Ind. 46947.

Anna E. Aloisio
Anna E. Aloisio, 65, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, February 6 [2002] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Elm she was a lifelong Hammonton area resident. Mrs. Aloisio was a cafeteria worker for the Hammonton School District for 23 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton.
Surviving her are: husband, James Aloisio of Hammonton; daughter, Marion Aloisio of Hammonton; one son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Kari Aloisio of Hamilton Twp.; granddaughter Nicole; brother Carmen Grasso of Elm; sister Ida DePalma of Waterford.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 9, followed by burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home of Hammonton.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association 2550 U.S. Highway 1, North Brunswick, N.J. 08902, or to the American Diabetes Association 1060 N. Kings Highway Suite 309, Cherry Hill, N.J. 08034.

Joseph McIntosh
Joseph “Joe Mac” McIntosh, 65, of Hammonton, died on February 4 [2002] in Winslow.
Born in Buckhorn, Ky. he lived in Hammonton for more than fifty years. He retired from Perrone Door Co., of Hammonton in 1988. He enjoyed woodworking, playing poker and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Hammonton Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1658.
Surviving him are: wife, Mary C. McIntosh; daughter and son-in-law, Kim A. and Sonny Merkel; one son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Holly McIntosh; his grandchildren, C.J. Merkel and Kayla Merkel all of Hammonton; one brother, Ronald McIntosh of Maple Shade. He was predeceased by his father Lester Mclntosh and his brother Dwight McIntosh.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 8, at St. Joseph’s RC Church followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home of Hammonton.
The family requests donations to the Sacred Heart Regional Grammar School 922 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, N.J. or to the Hammonton Rescue Squad 300 S. Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton.

Freddy Maiello
Freddy Maiello, age 47, of Hammonton, died on Friday, February 8 [2002], at his residence.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Dumont, N.J. for many years before moving to Hammonton. He worked for Carat Contracting in Queens, N.Y. for many years.
Surviving him are: wife, Susan (DeCristofaro); son, Christopher of Hammonton; daughter, Nicole Condron of Rahway, N.J.; mother Miriam Villane of New Millford, N.J.; sister, Barbara Gangemi of Dumont. He was the loving grandfather of two, Emily Rose and Kayla Marie Condron.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 12, at St. Joseph Church followed by entombment at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Wanda Silipino
Wanda Silipino, 80, wife of the late Benjamin Silipino of Hammonton, died Saturday, February 16 [2002], at Kessler Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Devonshire, N.J. she was an area resident all her life. She worked in the cafeteria at Hammonton Elementary School for many years.
Surviving her are: sister, Vivian Hemphill of Egg Harbor; grandchildren, Bruce Galletta Jr. of Williamstown, Betsy Galletta of Buena Vista Twp., Beverly Galletta of Mizpah, N.J. and Bobbi Ann Galletta of Dorothy, N.J.; and great-grandmother of 12.
Relatives and friends attended Funeral Services on Tuesday, February 19, followed by a burial at Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

David J. Berger
David J. Berger Sr., 71, of Hammonton, N.J. died on Friday, February 15 [2002], at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1994 as a distributor for Suburban Propane Gas Co., in Hammonton after 42 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1948. He coached Little League Baseball in Hammonton. He was a member of the Mays Landing Sportsmen Club and an avid fisherman.
Surviving him are: wife, Grace Berger; son, David, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Hammonton; daughters, Barbara Ann Berger of Hammonton and George Ann McKenna and her husband Francis of Ambler, Pa.; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Katie, David & Lauren Berger and Robert & Elizabeth McKenna.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on February 18, at St. Martin de Porres Church, followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Francis S. Garchinksy
Francis S. Garchinsky, 92 of Hamilton, N.J. died Saturday, February 9 [2002], at the Country Manor in Toms River.
Before retiring, Garchinsky worked as a foreman in the Electrical Department at Ancora State Hospital.
Surviving him are: daughter, Gloria Carr and her husband John of Hamilton; two sons, Richard “Dick” Garchinsky and his wife Nancy of Folsom, and Stanley Garchinsky of Hackensack, four sisters: Anne Haiko of Clifton Heights, N.J., Margaret Dickinson of Dover, Del., Teresa Flickinger of New Castle, Del. and Agnes Garchinsky of Pa.; and seven grandchildren: Marianne, Teresa, Patricia, Bernadette, Annette, Craig and Andrea, and six great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February, 13 at St. Joseph’s Church followed by entombment at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Clementina Pertillo
Clementina Pertrillo, 79, of Elmtowne section of Winslow Twp., died on Saturday, February 9 [2002], at Kessler Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Morristown, N.J. she lived in Elmtowne for the past four years.
Surviving her are: husband, Daniel Petrillo Sr.; sons, Daniel Jr. of Williamstown, N.J. and John of Mays Landing, N.J.; sister, Kathryn D’Amirco of Drexal Hill, Pa., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral in Hammonton.
Donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
