Mary J. Vaccarelli
Mary J. Vaccarelli, 92, of Hammonton, died Friday, April 11, at her daughter’s home in Hammonton.
Born in Shelby, Miss., she was raised in Landisville then moved to Hammonton sixty-five years ago. Before retiring, Mrs. Vaccarelli worked as a seamstress for Joe Palma Clothing Factory in Hammonton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Worker’s Union and St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Hammonton.
Predeceased by: husband, Nien Vaccarelli. Surviving her are: daughters, Josephine Figueroa with husband Emilio of Hammonton, Julia Kessler with husband Stephen of Winslow Twp; sister, Anna Mortellite of Hammonton; grandchildren, Glen and Tina Figueroa of Bridgeton, Bruce and Maryanne Figueroa, Scott and Sharon Figueroa, Mary-Jo and Thomas Ricca, all of Hammonton, and Danielle Kessler of Winslow Twp; great-grandchildren, Anthony, April, Morgan, Garrett, Gianna, Scott, Austin, Daniel, Ryan, Thomas, Gabriella.
Friends and relatives attended a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church on Tuesday, April 15, followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home.

Stephen Capelli
Stephen Capelli, 92, of Hammonton, died Thursday, April 17, at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Capelli owned and operated Laurel Printing in Hammonton. He was a former member of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph’s RC Church.
Surviving him are: daughters, Sandra Wentzell with husband Robert of Hammonton, Stephanie Valentine with husband Joseph of Houston; brother, Joseph Capelli of Hammonton; grandchildren, Robert Wentzell, David Wentzell, Wendy Wentzell, Tamara Valentino-Leigh, Joseph Valentino; great grandchildren, Ashley Wentzell, Brody Wentzell, Kassidy Wentzell, Sophia Leigh.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 22, at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

Gertrude Countz
Gertrude Countz, 85, of Hammonton and formerly Elwood, died Tuesday, April 15, at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Surviving her are several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on April 18, at Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home.

Frank J. Gatto
Frank J. Gatto, 82, of Mcallen, Texas, died Saturday, April 19, in Mcallen Heart Hospital.
He was the owner of Frank G. Gatto produce, which he founded in 1956. Gatto was a veteran of W.W.II, a member of the VFW Post 1086 of Hammonton, and the Hammonton Lions Club.
Surviving him are: wife, Mary (nee Sinari); children, Frank, Linda, John and Jodi; sister, Ethel Cook; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Thursday, April 24, at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by Burial will in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

Rita Marie Santora
Rita Marie Santora (nee Mortellite), 67, of Hammonton, died Tuesday, April 15, at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Hammonton, she was a 1953 graduate of Hammonton High School. When her children were of school age, she became a bus driver for the Hammonton School District. She was employed as a bus driver at Sands Casino, and a supervisor dispatcher of limousine operations for Trump Properties. Her most recent employment was as a shuttle bus driver for Atlantic County Transportation.
Surviving her are: husband, John; sons, John Jr. with wife Rosemary, and Mark; daughter, Lisa Rita Santora, all of Hammonton; brothers, Anthony and George Mortellite, all of Hammonton; sister, Angie DiMeglio of Elm; grandchildren, Erin and Johnny; family friend, Gaynell Jennette.
Relatives and friends attended a Blessing at St. Joseph Church on Thursday, April 17, followed by Interment at Greenmount Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home.

Joseph A. Morganti
Joseph A. Morganti Sr., 50, of Hammonton, died on Wednesday, April 16, at the Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Morganti was the owner & operator of Eastern Traffic Marking Company.
Surviving him are: wife, Christine (nee Reed); son, Joseph Jr. of Blackwood; daughter, Brandy of Hammonton; grandson, Dylan of Blackwood; sisters, Jenny Anning of Atco, Frances Morganti of Sweetwater, Mildred Morganti of Atco; brothers, Augustine of Berlin, John of Sicklerville, Anthony of Aylett, Va.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Saturday, April 19. Interment was private.
Arrangements were made by LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home.

Anna Bertha Harvey
Anna Bertha Harvey, 93, of Blue Anchor, died April 7, at her residence.
She was retired from being a Foster Grandparent for the Ancora State Hospital.
Surviving her are: sons, William L., Charles J.; daughters, Eleanor Marino, Elizabeth Molloy; brother, Charles Singley; sister, Marie Laurie; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives attended a funeral Mass on Friday, April 18, followed by Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home.

Dr. Anthony Rubba
Dr. Anthony Rubba, 90, of Delray Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, April 22, at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Fla.
Born in Hammonton, he was a graduate of Hammonton High School and Temple University Dental School. Dr. Rubba attained the rank of Captain in the US Naval Dental Corps during his distinguished 30-year career, which took him around the United States, Cuba, Japan, and Italy. He retired from the Navy in 1971.
Predeceased by his parents, five brothers, and one sister. Surviving him are: wife of 17 years, Line Bloom Draper Rubba; daughters, Carol Anne Byrne of Linwood, Mary Lou Martin of Folsom, along with their families; stepson, Andre L. Bloom of El Paso, Texas; step-grandson, Andre H. Bloom with wife Lisa of Blacksburg, S.C.; three step grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jeannette Rubba of Vineland, Lillian Rubba of Sicklerville; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; loving friends Gary and Beverly Braisden of Delray Beach.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 25, at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Delray. Graveside services and interment were at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
Donations may be made to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach, Fla. 33483.
Arrangements were made by Babione Funeral Home in Florida and the George Wimberg Funeral Home in Ventnor.

Sadie G. Tomasello
Sadie G. Tomasello, 72, of Hammonton, died Thursday, April 17, at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident.
Surviving her are: husband, John A. of Hammonton; daughter, Judith S. Tomasello-O’Neil of Hammonton; sons, John of West Palm Beach, Enrico with wife Lee Ann of Hammonton; sisters, Kitty Huegel of Brigantine, Carmella Nugent of Egg Harbor Township; brother, Vincent Gazzara of Cal.; grandchildren, Donald O’Neil, Kenneth O’Neil and Jennifer Tomasello, all of Hammonton.
Friends and relatives attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 23, at St. Martin de Porres RC Church, followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

Anjelina Grace Bilazzo
Anjelina Grace Bilazzo, 8 ½ months, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., died Tuesday, April 15, in an auto accident.
Surviving her are: parents, Timothy and Jessica Bilazzo, of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; siblings, Katie, of Phoenix, Jacob, Skyler, Camille Marie, all of Pagosa Springs; paternal grandparents, Gail and Joe Bilazzo of Phoenix; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Ed Simpson, of Fort Worth, Texas.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Monday, April 21, 2003.

Maria Cortese
Maria Cortese (nee Criscillo), 101, of Hammonton, died April 25, at her residence.
Born in Stromboli, Italy, she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Hammonton 22 years ago.
Surviving her are: daughter, Patricia Criscillo of Hammonton; 25 Godchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 29, at St. Joseph Church and interment at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens Borough, NY.
Donations may be made to Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Anthony J. Rice
Anthony J. (Tooty) Rice Jr, 85, of Hammonton died Thursday, April 24, at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, he was an area resident all his life. He was the retired owner of Rice Hardware Inc. of Hammonton. He was a part time employee of Frank Mazza & Sons. Mr. Rice was a past President of Hammonton Kiwanis Club, a member of American Legion Post #186, VFW Post #1026, a former member of Hammonton Chamber of Commerce and Knights of Columbus. He was a director of Empire Savings & Loan Association of Hammonton, a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Air Force, and served during WWII.
Surviving him are: wife, Marie (nee Ranere); daughters, Marci Chew of Ocean City, Melanie Rice of Smithville; grandsons, Arthur Chew with wife Rory, and Jason Chew.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 28, at St. Martin de Porres Church followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
Donations may be made to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037, or the Foundation of W.B. Kessler Hospital, P.O. Box 437, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Heather Capella
Heather Capella, 21, of Hammonton died Saturday, May 17, at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Atlantic City, she was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. She was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 2000.
Surviving her are: daughter, Angelina Capella; parents, Anthony and Lisa Capella Jr.; brother, Ryan Capella; sister, Tara Capella; paternal grandparents, Anthony & Nina Capella Sr., all of Hammonton; maternal grandfather, Gregory Torres of Colorado; maternal grandparents, Maureen and Larry Murray of Ocean City; maternal great grandfather, George DaLalla of Ft. Lee; her friend, Michael Blough of Hammonton; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing tonight after 6 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Trust Fund of Angelina Capella, 515 Walnut St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.
