Mary A. Costa (nee Roselli), 75, of Hammonton died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at home.
Born in Camden, she was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Before retiring, Mrs. Costa worked as a sewing machine operator for National Garment in Hammonton. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker’s Union and St. Martin De Porres RC Church.
Predeceased by: husband, Joseph J. Costa. Surviving her are: sons, Joseph Costa and his wife Sally, James Costa and his wife Sharon, John Costa, Jeff Costa and his wife Lisa all of Hammonton; grandchildren, James E., Taryn, Courtney, Andrew, Joseph E., Morgan, Matthew, Patrick.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 10, at St. Martin DePorres RC Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Elisa Monroig
Elisa Monroig, 96, of Hammonton died Tuesday, January 6 in Absecon Manor Nursing Center.
She was a self-employed dressmaker.
Surviving her are: children, Iris Cuevas, Carmen Rivera, both of Chicago, Gladys Vicens of New York, Elba Peluyera of Hammonton; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, January 9 at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.

Theresa Maccarella
Theresa Maccarella (nee Sbraccia), 88, of Cedar Brook died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Newcomb Hospital in Vineland.
Maccarella lived in Waterford most of her life.
Surviving her are: sons, Salvatore and his wife Kathie of Winslow, Frederick and his wife Debbie of Cedar Brook; daughters, Nancy Mauriello and her husband Peter of Cedar Brook, Grace Maccarella of Galloway Township; sister, Grace Maccarella and her husband Carmen of Waterford; loving grandmother of nine; great grandmother of eight.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 13 at St. Anthony Church in Waterford followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
Donations may be made to St. Joseph School Building Fund, 136 N. Third Street, Hammonton, NJ 08036.

Theresa M. Hustedde
Theresa M. Hustedde (nee Pitale), 80, of Hammonton, died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Atlantic City Hospital, Mainland Division.
Born in Hammonton, she was an area resident all her life. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Church and the American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Post #186.
Surviving her are: husband, Edward; daughters, Sharon Danks and her husband Lance of Milmay, Marie Fisher and her husband William of Vineland; brothers, Peter Pitale, Anthony Pitale both of Hammonton; grandsons, Anthony Jr. and Kenneth Sr. Ingemi, Edward Danks; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Kenneth Jr., Karisa Ingemi, Ashley Rigilano.
Relatives and friends attended his viewing and services on January 8 at the Marinella Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, New Brunswick, NJ 08902.

Fred Crowder Jr.
Fred Crowder Jr., 49, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Freddie was born to the late Fred Crowder Sr. and Florine on July 31, 1954 in Hammonton. He attended the Hammonton public and high school Class of 1974. He worked as a truck driver for Santilli Trucking for over 20 years until he became disabled. He was a much admired and loved coach of baseball, girl’s softball and basketball with Hammonton and Mullica Twp. Recreation.
Surviving him are: daughter, Florine J. Crowder; mother, Florine Crowder; brothers, Frank of Vineland, George of Hammonton, Darryl Sr. of Hammonton, Marvin Sr. of Philadelphia; sister, Levini Dorsey of Hammonton; sisters-in-law, Rose, Nancy, Lorraine Crowder; brother-in-law, Ronald Dorsey Sr.; aunts, Margaret Matthews of Egg Harbor City, Mary Hook of Newtonville, Helen Crowder of Virginia; nephews and nieces, Ronald Jr., Jason, Christopher Dorsey, Vanessa, Nicole, Darryl Jr., Marvin Jr., Edward, Marcus, Jason, Nathan Crowder.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday, January 24 at the Assembly of God Church, Route 206, Hammonton from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. followed by funeral services. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Florine J. Crowder Trust Fund.

Casilda Acevedo
Casilda Acevedo, 75, of Hammonton died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Puerto Rico, she was a Hammonton resident for 46 years. Acevedo worked for National Garment in Hammonton before retiring.
Surviving her are: sons, Dionicio Acevedo Jr. of Hammonton, Felix Acevedo and his wife Magaly of Elm; sisters and brothers, Sofia Caban, Margarita Gauthier, Jose Perez, Silfredo Batista, Noemi Mercado; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Monday, January 19 at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Mary A. Mazza
Mary A. Mazza, 85, of Hammonton passed away Thursday, January 15 at the Absecon Manor in Absecon.
Born in Burnham, Pa. she was a resident of Hammonton since 1947. She was an antique dealer along with her late husband, Joseph Mazza Jr. and they owned the former Mary’s Antiques and the former “Old Coin Inn” in Hammonton. Mary was also an excellent seamstress and was a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens Club.
Predeceased by: husband, Joseph Mazza Jr. Surviving her are: brother, Andy Orlowski and his wife Cecelia of Fairless Hills, Pa.; stepson, Joseph Mazza III of Calif.; stepgrandchildren, Joseph Mazza IV, of Calif., Lana of Blackwood; sister-in-law, Angela Mazzo of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 19, at St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Ralph Capaccio
Ralph Capaccio, 76, of Hammonton and formerly of Green Bank died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Meadowview Nursing Center.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Surviving him are: sister, Marie Alessandrini of Hammonton; nephews, Joseph Alessandrini, Steve Alessandrini, Michael Capaccio, Tony Capaccio, Ralph Capaccio; niece, Michelle Self; numerous other relatives.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Saturday, January 17 at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial at Green Bank Cemetery.

Josephine Capella
Josephine Capella (nee Puleo), 87, of Hammonton died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at her residence. Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident.
Predeceased by: husband, John S. Capella. Surviving her are: daughters, Mary Ann Cessato and her husband John, Jeanne Fidler and her husband John; brother, Frank Puleo all of Hammonton; grandchildren, Regina Ballin, Valerie Neall; great grandchildren, Gabrielle Ballin, Christopher Ballin, Nicholas Neall.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 19 at St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Rita A. Brown-Furgione
Rita A. Brown-Furgione (nee Pitale), 68, of Hammonton died Friday, January 16, 2004 at her residence.
Born in Hammonton, she was a life long resident. She worked as a cafeteria aide for the Mullica Twp. school system. She graduated Hammonton High School in 1952 where she was a majorette in the band. She was a former Hammonton Hawks football cheerleader coach.
Predeceased by: husband, Charles J. Furgione. Surviving her are: son, Jeffrey Brown and his wife Sharon; daughter, Cheryl Brown and her fiancee Michael Watson, all of Hammonton; sister, Marie Ruberton of Elmtowne; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Tuesday, January 20 at the Marinella Funeral Home followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Thomas Joseph Mikolajczak
Thomas Joseph Mikolajczak, 53, of Collings Lakes died suddenly at the Local 27 Union Sheet Metal School, Farmingdale.
Born in Brooklyn and formerly of Mystic Islands, he lived in Collings Lakes the past 16 years. He attended Holy Name Grammar School and St. Francis Prep in Brooklyn. A member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Collings Lakes and the K of C. Tom volunteered in many of the church affairs and was active in many youth sports activities and a baseball Little League coach. He loved to bowl and fish. He also loved animals and was close to nature. He was employed by Local 27 Union of Sheet Metal Workers. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War and also served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
Surviving him are: wife, Eileen (nee Cosgrove); sons, Matthew Thomas of Agoura, Calif.; Timothy James at home; parents, Bernard and Katherine of Tuckerton; brother, Robert Steven of Little Egg Harbor.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial January 21 at Our Lady of the Lakes Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Barbara P. Gazzara
Barbara P. Gazzara (nee Kachline), 70, of Hammonton died Friday, January 23, 2004 at Cooper Medical Center in Camden.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Hammonton since 1955. Mrs. Gazzara was a graduate of Little Flower High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing both in Philadelphia. She previously worked as a registered nurse at J.F. Kennedy Hospital in Stratford and Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Predeceased by sister, Tinker Prestipino. Surviving her are: sons, Butch Gazzara and his wife Rose of Folsom, Robert Gazzara and his wife Deborah of Hammonton; daughter, Nancy DeMaio and her husband Frank of Hammonton; grandchildren, Katie, Jay Lytle, Frank, Lyndsay, Matthew DeMaio, Jennifer Dershan, Louis, Elizabeth Gazzara, Jillian, Robin Gazzara, Arthur Enders III; great grandchild, Julia Lytle; sisters, Joanne Cappuccio, Judy Mazza, both of Hammonton, Mary Labovitz of Philadelphia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today at 8:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martin DePorres R.C. Church. Entombment will be at Greenmount Cemetery.

Mary T. Falconi (nee Angelini), 82, of Waterford died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Virtua Health and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Waterford for more than 50 years.
Predeceased by husband, Vito. Surviving her are: sons, Joseph, Frank and his wife Louise, George; brother, Frank Angelini; sisters, Louise Vagnoni, Anna Zaccardi, Edith Caviccio, Elizabeth Cavicci, Helen Vagnoni; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended Mass on Saturday, January 24 at St. Anthony Church in Waterford followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
