Clyde R. Snyder Sr., 88, of Folsom died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Perkasie, he lived in Elwood most of his life. Clyde retired as sales manager for more than 20 years of service from Washington National Life Insurance Company in 1958 and received the highest award in the company. He was the state of New Jersey underwriter of the year and the first retiree community action award recipient. He was the chairman of transportation for Mullica Township committee, established the first senior citizens bus in Mullica to take people to medical facilities and grocery stores, a member of the Galloway Township senior citizens community resource which covered five town regions, and was elected vice president of the board. He served a two-year term of the county senior citizens board and chairman of the grant committee, former member of the Hammonton Moose Lodge, the Elwood Fire Department, past King Lion of Winslow Township, held all offices plus zone chairman, a member of the American Legion Roll of Honor and served in the United States Army during WWII.
Surviving him are: Dorothy M. (nee Schellhas); children, Clyde Jr. “Dick” and his wife Madeline, Rodney and his wife Nancy, Dennis, Phyllis Grams and her husband August, Jessica Sullivan and her husband Phil, all of Elwood, Carol Snyder of Hammonton, Frank Hoopes of Atlantic City; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a memorial service on Monday, November 1 at the Elwood Methodist Church followed by burial at Elwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Elwood Methodist Church, P.O. Box 26, Elwood, NJ 08217.

Henrietta Iva DeLuca, 72, of Hammonton died Friday, November 12, 2004 at her residence.
Born in Johnson City, N.Y., she lived most of her life in the Hammonton area. She was a member of the Hammonton Baptist Church. She loved gardening and flowers especially African Violets, and she enjoyed walking and playing the Bill Gaither Homecoming series videos. Mrs. DeLuca attended and hosted many yard sales and flea markets.
Predeceased by: husband, William John Sr. in 1994; son, James A. in 1995. Surviving her are: sons, William John Jr. and his wife Rose, Michael A. and his wife Leanne, both of Hammonton; sister, Della Ann Schalk of Endicott, N.Y.; brothers, Robert Klose of Nesco, Henry Klose of Port Republic, William Klose of Philadelphia, Franklin Klose of Marlton, Mark Richards of Egg Harbor Township; granddaughter, Jenna L. DeLuca.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Monday, November 15 at the Landolfi Funeral Home followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

George Papadopoulos, 73, of Hammonton died Monday, November 8, 2004 in Cooper Medical Center in Camden.
Born in Greece, he lived in Hammonton for 30 years. Before retiring, he worked as a tailor for several different stores, and he worked in food service at the Hilton Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Mr. Papadopoulos was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Local 54.
Surviving him are: wife, Kalliopi (nee Katsoura); sons, Anthony and his wife Eva of Allentown, Pa., Nicholas and his wife Lori of Hammonton; brother, Michael of Greece; sister, Marika Rossi of Greece; grandchild, Nicole Papadopoulos.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Friday, November 12 at St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Vineland followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.

Joseph (Buddy) Crusco, 81, of Waterford died suddenly at home on Saturday, November 6, 2004.
Mr. Crusco was a veteran of the United States Army and served during WWII. He was the owner of Buddy’s Dry Cleaners before retiring in 1965. He was employed by Lakeland Complex as a security guard for 25 years. Mr. Crusco was the former fire chief of Waterford Fire Company for 20 years, the past president and secretary, and retired as honorary chief for life after 50 years of service. He was a member of the St. Sostine Society of Waterford. He was active in politics for many years in Winslow Township.
Predeceased by: great-grandson, Nicholas Parzanese. Surviving him are: wife, Millie (nee Midure); daughter, Joann and her companion Mike Cosden; grandchildren, Anthony C. Lubrano and his wife Nicole of Waterford, Joseph C. Lubrano and his wife Joann of Marlton, Maria Parzanese and her husband Louis of Waterford; loving great- grandchildren, twins, Anthony and Alexa Lubrano, Dominic Lubrano, Lindsay Ann Lubrano.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing tonight from 6:30 – 9 p.m. and again Thursday, November 11 after 8:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church in Waterford. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Catherine L. Parkkonen, 83, of Hammonton died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Mile Tree Nursing Home in Spencer, W. Va. after a brief illness.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a graduate of West Catholic High School in Philadelphia, and was a longtime Hammonton area resident until moving to Spencer several years ago. Mrs. Parkkonen enjoyed singing and was a choir member of St. Anthony, St. Joseph, St. Martin de Porres R.C. Churches all in Hammonton and more recently of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church in Spencer.
Predeceased by: husband, Otto Eino Parkkonen Sr.; sons, Otto Eino Parkkonen Jr., Patrick Parkkonen; sister, Lucille Berenato; brother, David Whelan; son-in-law, Steve Franks. Surviving her are: daughters, Cathi Franks, Mimi (Mary) Capelli and her husband Donald, Maureen Donato and her husband Ralph; son, David Parkkonen and his wife Sue; former daughter-in-law, Lois Parkkonen; granddaughters, Kim, Carolyn, Christine, Tara, Jennifer, Barbara, Dana, Alison; grandsons, Jason, Brian, Kevin, Nathan, Joshua, Davey; 12 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial today at 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Mary Presti (nee Andolora), 90, of Hammonton died Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Hammonton for 56 years. Mrs. Presti was a seamstress at Fairview Manufacturing in Hammonton. She belonged to St. Anthony’s Rosary Altar Society, the Hammonton Senior Citizens, and she volunteered for the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital’s Sewing Circle.
Surviving her are: daughter, Jenniene Presti; son, Joseph Presti, both of Hammonton; sister, Sarah Moessner of Atlantic City; two sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 9 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mary E. Spiegel (nee Pigott), 93, of Hammonton died November 23, 2004 at The Heritage Assisted Living surrounded by her close family members, caring staff and hospice.
Prior to living at The Heritage, she had resided for more than 10 years with her loving daughter and son-in-law, Peg and Mitch Hitman, in Hammonton who will miss her deeply. Born and raised in Cedar Brook, Mary was a player. She spent her teen years in Ocean City where she played violin in the orchestra and all the sports that girls were allowed to play, which included roller skating, marbles, hockey, basketball and swimming. She loved the water and once saved a person from drowning. In her middle years she loved to play games with her grandchildren, cook for family gatherings, volunteer at Shore Memorial Hospital, knit, crochet, swim, boat and fish with her husband. In later years in Venice, Fla., she enjoyed playing in the Ridgewood Park Kitchen Band that entertained at nursing homes, dancing at the Elks Lodge, playing the organ, ukulele, cards, shuffleboard, reading, and making afghans for family members.
Predeceased by: husband, David in 1991 after 60 years of marriage; son, Robert in 1996 both of Venice, Fla.; brother, F. Willis Pigott in 1941; parents, Harry and Erma (nee Davis). Surviving her are: granddaughters, Debra Eberly and her husband Chris of Warrenton, Va., Tamara Mailhot and her husband Andre of Oxford, Mass.; grandsons, Samuel Hitman of Denver, Harry Spiegel and his partner Cheryl Volta of Berlin, Mark Spiegel and his wife Patty of Cedar Brook; sister Elizabeth Alkazin and her husband William; nieces, Becky Stock and her husband Bruce also of Cedar Brook, Mary Conrad and her husband Ron of Altoona; daughter-in-law, Kay Spiegel and her partner Edgar Gay of Venice, Fla., many new friends from The Heritage, staff and caregivers; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Matthew Mailhot, Alex, Jacob, Leah Eberly, Kelsey, Zack Spiegel, Katie, Samantha, Robbie Spiegel.

Ryan Maier (our beloved Tyke), 35, after a lengthy illness went home to be with the Lord.
He was employed by the New Jersey Carpenters Union Local 393. He loved to play golf and enjoyed watching boxing and NASCAR. He had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by: paternal grandfather, Victor Maier; godfather, Frank Intessimoni Jr.; aunt, Nadine; cousins, Frank, Jesse; godmother, aunt Angelus Megnin; uncles, Jim, Zachary Megnin. Surviving him are: mother, Fran Maier of Elm; son, Daniel Trembley; father, Ron Maier Sr. of Ohio; brother, Ronnie and his wife Tracy; nieces, Samantha, Jessica; maternal grandparents, Mary and Frank Intessimoni of Waterford; paternal grandmother, Rella Maier of Ohio.
Relatives and friends attended Mass on Friday, November 26 at St. Anthony Church followed by burial at Waterford Memorial Park.

Angelo J. (Buddy) Cappuccio Sr., 73, of Hammonton died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was an area resident all his life. He was class president and a graduate of Hammonton High School class of 1949 and Temple Technical School. He served in the United States Navy as a Musicians 3rd Class during the Korean War. While in the Navy, he was a member of the Sixth Fleet Band under Admiral Cassidy’s Personal Band. He was the owner of Music America store in Hammonton. Mr. Cappuccio played upright bass and saxophone with the Hal Davis Orchestra, Jonathan’s Orchestra, Joe Dale Big Band, Doctor’s of Rhythm, and many other groups. He was a member of the Vineland Local of American Federation Union and member of Delaware Valley Musician Club. He recently formed his own Buddy Cee’s Little Big Band, which consisted of nine pieces. He also enjoyed flying which he did for many years.
Predeceased by: parents, Anthony and Agnes; sister, Grace Tomasello, Rose Ann Evangelesti. Surviving him are: wife, Joyce (nee Apalucci); sons, Angelo J. and his wife Teresa of Winslow Township, Ronald A. and his wife Diane of Williamstown, Anthony C. and his wife Dena of Hammonton; daughters, Sharon Singer and her husband Gus of Philadelphia, Donna Conrey and her husband John of Burlington, Lee Anne De Febbo and her husband Chuck of Hammonton; sister, Rita Kenney; eight grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial today at 10 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church followed by interment at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Frances L. Berenato (nee Weber), 58, of Hammonton, died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at her son’s home in Sicklerville.
Born in St. Louis, she was a Hammonton resident for 30 years. Mrs. Berenato had worked as a secretary for Spencer Gifts in Pleasantville.
Predeceased by: parents, Frank and Rosalie (Pepper) Weber; granddaughter, Kelly Rose Samuelson. Surviving her are: daughters, Debra Samuelson and her husband Joseph, Anna Warburton and her husband Michael all of Hammonton; son, Joseph F. Berenato and his wife Stephanie of Sicklerville; grandchildren, Justin Michael Berenato, Taylor Kane; niece, Jaime Frassetto; great-niece, Leah Cirillo; half-brother, Frank Weber of Cahokia, Ill.; also many relatives including close cousins, Candace Perakovich of Pomona, Beatrice Gruccio Banker of Palatine, Ill.

Susan M. Bintliff (nee Zozone), 71, of Hammonton, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Before her retirement, she worked as a purchasing agent. Sue enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and going to the casinos.
Surviving her are: daughter, Barbara A. Formichelli of Hammonton; brother, Anthony and his wife Beverly of Hammonton; sisters, Marie Williams and her husband Donald of Carneys Point, Nicoletta Mature and her husband Thomas of Hammonton; grandchildren, Honesty Lemeshuk, Stacey Julia, Misty Lee, Denise Morgan, Michael Morgan, Jessie Morgan, Nicholas A. Formichelli Jr., Taryn Cregon Nicole Formichelli; her great-grandchildren, Timmy and Nicky Lemeshuk, Salina, Jen, Camryn, Katherine Julia, Zoe Mandrell, Aaron, Kayla Lee, Erika, Amanda, Nico Mazzeo, Jada, Juliana Green, Mark, Fayth Adamucci; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Janice M. DiGirolamo, 57, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia and formerly of Voorhees, she was a resident of Hammonton for the past 15 years. She was a secretary for Dr. Scott Busch in Hammonton. She was also a bartender and waitress and worked at the Kerri Brooke Caterers and the Frog Rock Country Club in Hammonton. Janice loved reading, traveling, and interior decorating.
Predeceased by: father, Peter F. Melfi. Surviving her are: mother, Jean of Williamstown; daughter, Carolyn Kaiser and her husband Jim of Elwood; sons, Christian DiGirolamo of LaGuana Beach, Calif., Greg DiGirolamo and his wife Tina of Elwood; brother, Peter G. Melfi and his wife Loretta of Washington Township; granddaughter, Alexis Rose Kaiser and her fiancé Frank Bertino of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends attended her viewing on Sunday, December 19 at the Landolfi Funeral Home.

Edison J. Eby, 86, of Collings Lakes died Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at home.
Born in Pond Creek, Okla., he was a resident of Collings Lakes for 39 years. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter No. 64 in Woodbury, the V.F.W. Post No. 1026 in Hammonton. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 186 in Hammonton. Before retiring, Mr. Eby was the owner and operator of Eby and Son’s Gulf station in Collings Lakes and was a self-employed mechanic.
Surviving him are: wife, Kathleen Eby (nee Hallahan); sons, Edison C. Eby Sr. and his wife Patti, Joseph J. Eby and his wife Jacquelyn, all of Collings Lakes; grandchildren, Edison C. Eby Jr., Joseph D. Eby, Desiree Eby; brother, Raymond Eby.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services Saturday, December 18 at the Carnesale Funeral Home followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Pauline M. Furka (nee Krywaruka), 74, of Hammonton died Monday, December 6, 2004 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Furka will be sadly missed and always loved by her family. Before her retirement, Mrs. Furka was a medical transcriptionist at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. She was a member of AARP.
Predeceased by: sister, Catherine Kanarkowski. Surviving her are: daughters, Susan M. Pipitone and her husband Larry of Winslow, Cathy M. Furka-Dorsey of Hammonton; three grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, Jason and Melanie Dorsey and their son Mason, Danielle and Joseph Seaman and their children Michael, Amanda, Joey Christopher, Heather Deming, Roger and their children Bryan, Kevin, Ellijah, Payton, Patience.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, December 10 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Mitchell Joseph Tomasella, 80, of Hammonton died December 18, 2004 at home.
Born in Brooklyn, he was an area resident for 60 years. He retired from Atlantic Electric in 1989 after 40 years of service in the meter department. Mitch attended Hammonton schools and served in the United States Army during WWII. He was also a member of the VFW.
Surviving him are: wife, Gladys (nee DeMarco); sons, Mitchell and his wife Mary of West Chester, Gary of Hammonton; daughter, Gail Horn and her husband Gus of San Carlos, Calif.; sisters, Sara DePalma of Waterford, Jean Tomasella of California; brothers, James Tomasella, John Tomasella both of Hammonton; grandchildren, Stephanie Tomasella, Matthew Horn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing today at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
