A retired tax examiner of 28 years who worked for IRS in both Camden and Philadelphia, she received many awards and commendations for the excellence in her work. A member of St. Mary of the Lakes Roman Catholic Church, she enjoyed traveling, dancing and spending time at the family home in Wildwood. Wife of the late John F. Burns and Edward F. Frederick F. Trapp, 92, of Leisuretown passed away on Friday June 6, 2003 at home. Born in Ft. Myers FL, he resided in Southern New Jersey for 83 years. Frederick served in the US Marine Corps. Third Division in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. His last battle fought was Iwo Jima. He worked for Public Service Electric & Gas for several decades. Son of the late William and Ethel Trapp; husband of the late Geraldine R. (nee Deacon) to whom he was married to for 64 years, he is survived by a daughter and son in law; Geraldine C. and Terry Rousseau of Southampton, two grandsons; Aaron and Brandon Rousseau of VT, one sister; Clara Trapp of CA, one brother; Bill Trapp of ID, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jackson B. Wharton, 81, of Medford, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. Born in Philadelphia PA, he resided in Medford for the last 43 years. Mr. Wharton was U.S. Army veteran in the 88th Division Blue Devils, serving as a Third Grade Technician during World War II. Mr. Wharton taught at the Milton H. Allen School and the Memorial School for the Medford Twp. Board of Education. He was a member of the VFW Post# 7677, & the Medford Historical Society. Mr.Wharton enjoyed astronomy, science, and classical music. Son of the late Bromley & Mary Wharton; husband of the late Frances J. Wharton; brother of the late Edward Wharton & Jean Zelley; he is survived by one daughter; Maryann Wharton of Lumberton; one grand-daughter Laura Marie Gluyas of Berlin; & one sister-in-law Margie Wharton of Athens, LA, several nieces, nephews & cousins. William T. Yates, 61 of Southampton died Friday at Buttonwood Hospital in New Lisbon. Born in Medford he resided his entire life in the Medford- Berlin area. A US Air force veteran he was previously employed as a mechanic with Winner Ford in Cherry Hill. He was a member of the National Rifle Association & the North American Hunting Club. He is survived by his mother Sarah Emmons, a son Michael T. Yates both of Southampton, and a daughter Sharon E. Yates of Berlin.
