CHARLES DVORZSAK, 80, of Spotswood died Oct. 31 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Deutsch Dvorzsak; a daughter, Judy Legal of Spotswood; two sons, Charles Dvorzsak of North Carolina and Anthony Dvorzsak of Chicago; a brother, Lesley Dvorzsak; and seven grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro. JOSEPH SHUGERMAN, 86, of East Brunswick died Oct. 29 in St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Gwendolyn Michael Shugerman; two sons, Barre Lee of Fruithurst, Ala., and Marvin Edward of Germantown, Md.; a daughter, Melissa Annette Gelfman of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick. ANGELINA PAWLOWSKI STASSE, 80, of South River died Oct. 22 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, James Stasse, died in 1952. Surviving are a son, James Stasse of East Windsor, and two grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
SABITA NIRANJAN KORTHARI VAKHARIA, 78, died Nov. 1 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are two sons, Pankaj Vakaria and Sunil Vakharia; a daughter, Smita Maniar; and seven grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Cremation was private.
MILDRED WHITE, 80, of Jamesburg died Oct. 30 in Monroe Village Health Care Center. Her husband, Arthur White Jr., died in 1992. Surviving are a son, Joseph White of Jackson; two daughters, Cheryl Soback of Ocean Grove and Karen Ellsworth of Nebraska; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Clayton and Son Funeral Home, Howell, with a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
HENRY WINTJEN, 90, of Monroe, formerly of Spotswood, died Oct. 31 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. His wife, Emily Schuster Wintjen, died in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Diane Lawson of the New Egypt section of Plumsted; a son, Donald Wintjen of West Chester, Pa.; a brother, Albert Wintjen of Fair Lawn; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with services at Nativity Lutheran Church, East Brunswick. MARILYN HYDRUSKO ZANGARA, 52, of Spotswood died Oct. 31 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are a son, Robert of Metuchen; a daughter, Caitlin of Spotswood; her mother, Jessie Olsiewski Hydrusko of Spotswood; and a sister, Patricia Kiernan of Monroe. PAUL M. ZAWADSKY JR., 54, of South River died Oct. 27 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. Surviving are his mother, Nancy Senko Zawadsky of South River; a sister, Nadya Silva of South River; a niece; his godmother, Marley O'Neill of Manasquan; and his godfather, Steve Senko of South River. ANN K. SCHAFER GILDEA, 58, of Sayreville died Oct. 31 in Maryann Hale Hospice Pavilion and Haven Hospice, Edison. Surviving are her husband, John Gildea; three sons, John Gildea of South River, Jim Gildea of Franklin Park and Christopher Gildea of Sayreville; a daughter, Lorraine Mulcahy of Old Bridge; a brother, Raymond Schafer of Maryland; and two granddaughters. JOHN E. KROSNOWSKI, 69, of the Whiting section of Manchester, formerly of Sayreville, died Oct. 30 at home. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Krosnowski; a son, John E. Jr. of Sayreville; two daughters, Deborah Jones of Monroe and Pamela Saunders of Sayreville; two sisters, Mary Ann LaGola and Dorothy Kulick; and three grandchildren. A service was held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a memorial Mass planned for Nov. 14 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment of cremains will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
ANTOINETTE SCIANDRA BASILE, 89, of Old Bridge died Oct. 23 at home. Her husband, Joseph Basile, died in 1987. Surviving are two daughters, Mattie Gloster and Jo Ann Latin; a sister, Jean Durante; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ELIZABETH R. FARRELL BRENNAN, 76, of South Amboy died Oct. 28 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her first husband, Edward P. Kosovich, died in 1952, and her second husband, Frank Brennan, died in 1988. Surviving are three sons, Gary Kosovich of Bridgewater, Timothy Brennan of Sayreville and Thomas Brennan of the Morgan section of Sayreville; two daughters, Linda Heuer of Norwich, N.Y., and Ann Mackiel of Sayreville; and 12 grandchildren. HELEN BROWNE HEALY, 95, of Old Bridge died Nov. 1 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, James Healy, died in 1965. Surviving are a daughter, Sheila Ahern of Old Bridge; two sons, John Healy of Oceanside, N.Y., and James Healy of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. LAWRENCE P. KAESER SR., 80, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died Oct. 28 in Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield. His wife, Annette A. Price Kaeser, died in 1981. Surviving are three sons, Lawrence P. Jr. of St. Augustine, Fla., Phillip L. of Tinton Falls and William J. of Sayreville; four daughters, Annette M. Bukovinsky of Oakhurst, Kathleen L. Zuarino of North Plainfield, Barbara H. Kaeser of Ocean and Judith A. Kaeser of Parlin; two sisters, Helen Smith of Las Vegas and Anna Lehr of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and 12 grandchildren. THOMAS L. TISCHLER, 22, of Sayreville died Oct. 27 in St. Joseph Hospital, Paterson. Surviving are her husband, Michael Vass Sr.; a son, Michael Vass Jr. of Orange; a brother, "Brownie" Grabczewski of South River; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews. GEORGE E. OLDZEJ, 87, of Cranbury died Nov. 7 at Park Place Center, South Brunswick. Born in Edgewater, he lived in Cranbury the past 55 years. He was a farmer and mason for John Forman, Cranbury, for 21 years before retiring in 1976. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Helmetta. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Adele Kokoszka Oldzej of Cranbury; a daughter, Leonia Skok of Jamesburg; a brother, Theodore Oldzej of West Windsor; a sister, Irene Davis of Belmar; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Mass will be celebrated Nov. 10 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, with burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe Township.
