RACHAEL GIASULLO TRUSKOWSKI, 88, of East Brunswick died July 18 at home. Prior to her retirement, she and her late husband, Alexander, owned Weigelia Gardens, East Brunswick, which is now operated by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarie and Leonard Marotta. She was predeceased by her husband and by a grandson, Guy Montagna. Surviving are two daughters, Rosemarie Marotta of East Brunswick and Josephine Dagon of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Joseph Giasullo of Florida; two sisters, Mary Hallock of Manville and Frances Perozzi of Martins Creek, Pa.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. BERTHA BERGER ZALESKE 93, of Keyport died Aug. 4 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Austira, Hungary, she lived in Sarasota, Fla., prior to moving to Keyport 20 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, as well as a member of the Keyport Senior Citizens club. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Zaleske, in 1973; and a son, Charles Zaleske Jr., in 1998. She is survived by a son, Robert Zaleske of South River; a sister, Marie Boyle of Bricktown; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. MONSIGNOR J. MORGAN KELLY, 85, of the Rossmoor adult community in Monroe died Aug. 3 in McCarrick Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. He was the founder and first pastor of St. Bartholomew's Church, East Brunswick. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1945 and served at Sacred Heart Church, Mount Holly; St. Michael's Children's Home, Hopewell; and Incarnation Church, Trenton. Prior to being named pastor at St. Bartholomew's Church in 1959, he also served as Mercer County CYO director and taught at Villa Victoria Academy, Trenton. Surviving are many cousins and his housekeeper, Roberta Smith. Bishop Edward Hughes and Bishop Vincent DePaul Breen celebrated Masses at St. Bartholomew's Church. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. MARVIN C. CONOVER, 83, of Hazlet, died Aug. 8 at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Irvington, he lived in the Morgan section of Sayreville prior to moving to Hazlet 5 years ago. He was an instrument mechanic for DuPont, the Parlin section of Sayreville for 42 years upon retirement in 1979. He is survived by his wife, Margie Thompson Conover of Hazlet; three daughters, Linda Vona of Sayreville, Suzanne Selover of Morgan and Christine Young of Nicholson, Pa.; three step-daughters, RaeLien Jones of Ala., Jill Kurtz of N.C., and Cindy DeVincent of Wantage; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. WILLETS V. GRIFFIN, 87, of East Brunswick, formerly of Monroe, died Aug. 7 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was the founder and president of W.V. Griffin Nurseries Inc., South Brunswick, for more than 68 years. The recipient of the Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award from the New Jersey State Board of Agriculture in 1989, he was the Middlesex County Farmer of the Year in 1994. He was an 82-year member of Jamesburg Presbyterian Church, serving as deacon, elder and member of the session. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Laney Griffin; a daughter, Sara Griffin of Manasquan; and a son, Bill Griffin of Plainsboro. Arrangements were under the direction of M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe, with a service at Jamesburg Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
