CANONCITO CEMETERY (Bernalillo County) GPS 35.135323, 106.378913 Cemetery is 6 miles north of Tijeras on NM 14; 0.6 miles West on Canoncito Road The cemetery is in the small town of Canoncito, northwest of Cedar Crest, New Mexico. Canoncito is Spanish for "little canyon." This isolated town is at the foot of the east side of the Sandia Mountains. The cemetery is in fair condition and there are still an occasional burial here. The cemetery was walked in 2003 and we have continued working with the information until December of 2006. We used old records as well as mortuary records to add to the information as well as clear up missing information.
