June H. Ferguson
6/1/2006 - June H. Ferguson, 86, of Oak St. Westfield, died April 13, 2006 at home.
She was the wife of Howard Ferguson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. June 3, 2006 in the First Presbyterian Church in Westfield.
Arrangements are by the Freay Funeral Home, Mayville.

Alexander K. Belson Gore
5/25/2006 - Alexander K. Belson Gore, son of Chris Gore and Ashley Belson of Erie, Pa., entered into God's care on May 19, 2006 at Hamot Hospital.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a stepsister, Jazmine Gore and a stepbrother, Desmon Neff, both of Erie,; paternal grandparents Shelia Ebright and James Gore of Erie; and maternal grandmother, Kathy Bisbee of Ripley.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Belson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 West Main Street, Ripley, N.Y., 14775.
Arrangements are by the Mathews Funeral Home.

Julia Price
5/25/2006 - "Every day with Jesus is sweeter that the day beforeŠ" was a thought of Julia Elisabeth Price who died May 17, 2006.
Born May 21, 1922 in Brocton to the late Albert and Lulu Holcomb Jackson, she graduated from Brocton High School in 1940.
She worked as a comptometer operator until she married Lloyd R. Price, Jr. of Bear Lake, Pa. on February 13, 1943 and whom died June 19, 2002. As her husband pastored churches in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Ohio, she ministered with him. She enjoyed teaching children and helping with other ministries in the church. She has resided at Heritage Green Health Care Center since her husband's death.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet Price of Jamestown, Jean (David) Spencer of Machias, and Deborah (Charles) Elliott of Oklahoma City, Okla. as well as four grandsons, Ben Spencer of Macungie, Pa., Andrew Spencer of Goose Creek, S.C., Matthew and Chris Elliott of Oklahoma City, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Carrie Ellen Jackson of Fredonia, and Lillian (Wayne) Price of Warren, Pa.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Bear Lake Cemetery. No visitation will be observed.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Bethel Baptist Christian Academy, 200 Hunt Rd, WE, Jamestown, N.Y., 14701.
Arrangements are by the Lind Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Douglas John Cellan
5/25/2006 - Douglas John "Doug" Cellan, 53, of Westfield, died May 16, 2006 at home in Westfield.
He was born Feb. 1, 1953 in Clarion, Iowa.
He was a freight broker for Eickhoff Enterprises in Marshall, Minn.
He was an avid bowler, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a true NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his fiancé, Maureen DeJohn of Westfield and her daughter, Joelle, also of Westfield; his mother, Darlene Cellan of Clarion, Iowa; a brother, David Cellan of Iowa Falls, Iowa; two sisters, Dani and Jim Keplar of Boone, Iowa and Deb and Mike Senger of Clarion, Iowa; one son, Ryan Cellan of Esterville, Iowa; one daughter, Jamie and Mike Bliesmer of Dunnell, Minn.; one granddaughter, Hannah Bliesmer of Dunnell, Minn.; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Cellan.
Funeral services and calling hours will be held in Clarion, Iowa. A memorial service will be held locally at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are by the MASON Funeral Home on Clinton Street in Westfield.

Marie A. Burge
5/18/2006 - Marie A. Burge, 86, formerly of Girard and Millcreek, died May 12, 2006 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.
She was born on March 17, 1920 in Ripley, a daughter of the late Leslie and Juva Lanphere Farnham.
She worked for Bliley Electric in Erie during World War II and most recently had been employed by Westminster Manufacturing in Millcreek, where she retired from in 1982. Marie lived in Millcreek for many years and moved to the Girard area in 1984 where she has resided since.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Donald A. Burge, in 1972, whom she married July 12, 1947 in Ripley; also by four brothers, Lawrence, Norris, Stanley and Forrest Farnham; two sisters, Frances Irwin and Thelma Mlochowski; and a step-son, Robert Burge.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Bartosek and her husband Larry of Girard and Donna M. Carter and her husband, Dale, of Millcreek; a sister, Pearl Kuhn and her husband, Paul, of Westfield; a sister-in-law, Naomi Farnham of Mayville; four grandchildren, Robert Burge and his wife Mabel of Clarendon, Frances Gibson and her husband, Homer, of Warren, Fred Burge and his wife, Sharon, of Millcreek, Ryan Bartosek of Girard; eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, Greater PA Chapter, NW Regional Officer, 110 W. 10th St., Suite 212, Erie, Pa. 16501.
The Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home in Girard, Pa. is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth C. Hultin
5/25/2006 - Kenneth C. Hultin, 78, of Spring Street, Jamestown, died May 20, 2006 at WCA Hospital in Jamestown.
A Jamestown resident most of his life, he was born Jan. 15, 1928 in Wilcox, Pa., the son of the late Carl F. and Marion H. Corbran Hultin.
Hultin owned and operated Green Star Lumber for 10 years, retiring in 1990. Formerly, he was employed at Green Brothers Lumber for many years, Marlin Rockwell Corp. and was a self-employed dairy farmer on the Swede Road, Panama.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in Japan. He was also confirmed in the Bethel Lutheran Church and attended the Zion Covenant Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie (David) Flasher, Mindy (Kenneth) Moore, and Linda (Mark Sr.) Conklin, all of Jamestown and Donna (Floyd Jr.) Kent of Bemus Point; two sons, Kenneth S. and Ronald R. Hultin, both of Jamestown; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer (Timothy) Hultin-Kolstee, Ashley Flasher, Corry Moore, Jaime Wright, Heather, Joshua and Mark Conklin Jr., Kellie Jo, Kenneth C., Jake R., and Jennifer L. Hultin, all of Jamestown, Constance Kent of Dewittville and Floyd Kent Jr. of Bemus Point; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pearl Balder of Jamestown, Lorraine Brown of Falconer and Eleanor Wilcox of Kiantone; and a brother, Leonard Hultin of Flagstaff, Ariz.
Hultin was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Luther; and four brothers, Eugene, Robert, Larry and Wallace Hultin.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Lind Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Timothy L. Allen
6/1/2006 - Timothy L. Allen, 49, of East Main Road, Westfield, died suddenly on May 20, 2006 at Westfield Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Oakland, Calif. on Jan. 18, 1956, the son of Melvin and Ruth Johnson Selby of Columbia, Calif.
He was employed by Path Trucking in Dunkirk as a mechanic for several years until retiring due to his disability. He enjoyed hiking and camping.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Foster Allen, whom he married on April 2, 2004; two sons, Austin Allen of Ovid, N.Y. and Harley Allen of Dunkirk; one daughter, Laura Allen of Ovid; two stepsons, Tye Kenny of Dunkirk and Torry Kenny of Westfield; two stepdaughters, Tiffany and Timesha Kenny, both of Westfield; one step-granddaughter, Emaliy Kenny; two sisters, Geneva Ruth Truscott and Patricia M. Chamberlain; three stepbrothers, David A., Gary R. and Edwin E. Selby; a stepsister, Linda G. Anderson; and a good friend, John Ross of Brocton of Brocton. He is also survived by his faithful and loving companion, his dog, Weena.
Inurnment will be held in the Mt. Shadows Cemetery, Columbia, Calif.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of the Mathews Funeral Home in Ripley, which is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara A. Muck
6/1/2006 - Barbara A. Muck, 61, of Dunkirk, died May 24, 2006 unexpectedly in Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
She was born Sept. 5, 1944 in Dunkirk, the daughter of Edwin and Adele (Wood) Stevens.
She attended Dunkirk Schools. On June 26, 1982, she married her loving husband, Norman Muck, who predeceased her on Feb. 27, 1986.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Episcopal Church in Dunkirk.
Mrs. Muck enjoyed playing video games, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and liked to watch football and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoying the times they spent together. She had owned and operated Norm's Brass Rail in Dunkirk.
She is survived by Terrence Wickham Sr.; five sons, Terrance Wickham of Burlington, N.C., Timothy Wickham of Cherry Creek, Theodore Wickham of Dunkirk, Thomas Wickham of Dunkirk, Robert Wickham of Dunkirk; six grandsons; 16 granddaughters; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Patricia (Robert) Carlson of Brocton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Barbara Eckstrom; and a brother, Edward Greene.
Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Forestville.

David F. Stebbins
6/8/2006 - David F. Stebbins, 86, of 5597 Sherman-Mayville Road, Mayville died on Sunday June 4, 2006 in his home. He was born May 27, 1920 in Mayville, the son of Adelaide (Wilcox) and Floyd Stebbins.
He was a 1940 graduate of Mayville High School. He was a Staff Sergeant for the 58th Bomb Wing of the Army-Air Force from 1941 to 1945 in World War II. He flew as a tail gunner on the B29’s for 35 missions. He then worked as a plumber with his father and then for Hyde Plumbing and Heating until he retired. He was an engineer and pilot on the Chautauqua Belle and a supporter of the Sea Lion. He was a member of the 58th Bomb Wing Association, a life time member of the William L. Travis American Legion, the Mayville VFW, former member of the Portage Trail Camping Club, the Mayville Historical Society, the Mayville Senior Citizens and the Mayville United Methodist Church.
David enjoyed camping, going to senior citizen meetings, going to Myrtle Beach, and was especially happy when he was on the Chautauqua Belle. His greatest love of all was his family.
David is the husband of 40 years to Cora (Trudy) Gertrude Stebbins who he married on February 26, 1966; father of two daughters: Diana Lynn Stebbins and fiancé Don Kreutz of Mayville and Cheryl Rae Gustafson and husband Thomas of Mayville; brother of Raymond E. Stebbins of Mayville; step-father to three step-daughters: Carol Samuelson and husband Brad of Ashville, Connie Huddle and husband Daniel of South Carolina and Cindy Miller of Jamestown; step-father of one step-son; Carl Miller of South Carolina and one foster son; Joseph O’Brien and wife Tanya of South Carolina; and former AFS student Ines Llorens Cardoza of Argentina; grandfather of nine grandchildren: David Best and wife Corine of Mayville, Trisha Delcamp and husband Thomas of Mayville, Cody Gustafson of Mayville, Erik Samuelson and wife Braiden of Arizona, Hunter O’Brien of Florida, Brett Samuelson of Ashville, Daniel Huddle of South Carolina, Steven Miller of South Carolina and Andrew Huddle of South Carolina; great-grandfather of two great-granddaughters Nova Best and Jillian Delcamp and one great-grandson to be born in June.
His parents and a son David Floyd Stebbins, Jr. preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. June 9th in the Freay Funeral Home, Mayville. Rev. Mary Krahn, chaplain with Hospice will officiate. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, June 8th, in the funeral home.
