Tatum Oisin Pavlock
Tatum Oisin Pavlock, infant, of 211 Central Ave., Falconer died Sunday (September 30, 2007) in WCA Hospital.
She was born September 30, 2007, the daughter of Amber O. Ricotta-Pavlock and Andrew J. Pavlock.
Besides her parents she is survived by two brothers Gavin and Finley Pavlock, her maternal grandmother Linda McMillen, Step maternal grandfather Jon C. McMillen, maternal grandfather Anthony Ricotta and Robert Story, paternal grandmother Sunny Thomas and paternal grandfather Richard Pavlock.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Parsons pastor of Camp St. United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral service.

Linda M. Alford "Lovie"
Linda M. Alford, 59, of 339 Fairmount Ave. died Wednesday (October 3, 2007) in Millard Filmore Gates Circle Hospital, Buffalo.
A life long area resident she was born July 19, 1948 in Jamestown the daughter of Russell J. and Marian L. Huntington Newark.
She was a 1966 graduate of Jamestown High School.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed attending her grandsons sporting events. She also enjoyed rides, picnics, fireworks and attending yard sales. Linda was the rock of her family and always willing to help someone in need, and never was afraid to voice her opinion. She would want to be Remembered for her Life and not her death.
She is survived by her husband Harry W. Alford, a daughter Lisa L. Spunaugle of Jamestown, two grandsons; Russell William Spunaugle and Dillon Ray Lampman both of Jamestown, her mother Marian Newark of Greenhurst, a brother Keith Newark of Jamestown and a sister Brenda McMurdy of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her father Russell J. Newark in 2003 and her grandmother Florence Huntington in 1992.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Robert L. Johnessee pastor of Ivory Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery
Friends will be received by the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Irene G. Waite
Irene G. Waite, 83, formerly of 512 W. Seventh St. Jamestown and Kiantone died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday (October 10, 2007) in WCA Hospital.
She was the widow of Clarence M. Waite whom she married January 4, 1947 in Frewsburg, who died March 25, 1994.
Irene was born September 19, 1924 in Lander, PA the daughter of the late John and Nellie Carley Abers.
Prior to retirement she had been employed at C & B Cleaners.
She is survived by a son Richard Waite of South Dayton, two daughters Donna Carlson of Jamestown and Patty Wagner of Ellington, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, three sisters Violet Engstrom of Falconer, Claribel Magnuson of Celoron and Judy Hudson of Texas.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a grandson John Waite in 1988, three brothers Robert, Albert and Jack Abers and four sisters Virginia Johnson, Dorothy Bentley, Stella Johnson and Florence Hebner.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne H. Eppehimer pastor of Christian Missionary Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.

Edward J. Magara
Edward J. Magara, 75, of 130 Water St. died at 2:35 p.m. Friday (October 12, 2007) in Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born October 4, 1932 in Salamanca the son of the late Walter and Francis Kosinski Magara.
Edward attend Salamanca Central School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement he was employed by Dahlstroms Manufacturing.
He was a life member of the Celoron Post 777, American Legion, and the Chautauqua County 40 - 8.
He is survived by his wife Nettie Mae Stabenau Magara whom he married May 4, 1957, four sons; Joel Jay Magara of North Carolina, Michael Edward Magara of Mechanicsville, PA, Edward L. Magara and Daniel J. Magara both of Jamestown, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers Jim Magara, Raymond Magara and Walter Magara, and three sisters Rosemary Kennedy, Betty Sluga and Shirley, numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sister and a brother and three aunts.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 in the Celoron Post 777, American Legion.

Kay F. Collingwood
Kay F. Collingwood, 69, of Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility formerly of Randolph Terrace Apartments died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday (October 16, 2007) in the facility.
A life long area resident she was born October 25, 1937 in Charlotte Center the daughter of the late Leland F. and Elsie Schlining Penhollow.
She attended Cassadaga High School and was a graduate of the Jamestown School of Practical Nursing. She was employed by Lutheran Social Services and in later years had been employed as a private home nurse in Orchard Park.
Kay was a member of the Napoli United Methodist Church, Randolph American Legion Post 181 Auxiliary, and former member of the Poland Senior Citizens and Golden Keys Club of Randolph.
Kay was a loving, caring, kind, faithful mother, wife and friend who touched the hearts of all she met. She carried a bright smile and spirit and was able to rise above all her struggles with joy, love and her angelic personality. Kay enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening with her family.
Surviving are a son Edward W. (Rose) Collingwood Jr. of Napoli, three daughters Kathy L. (Topper) Westerdahl of Jamestown, Laurie J. Collingwood of Falconer, Tracy Collingwood of Jamestown, four grandchildren Amy Edel of Minnesota, John Collingwood of Salamanca, Jason Bailey of Jamestown and Jennifer Bailey of Findley Lake, twelve great grandchildren, a brother Ralph Penhollow of Sinclairville, two sisters; Betty Stage of Dewittville, Cora Mitchell of Colardo Springs, CO, a special niece Gloria Nickerson who was faithful to the very end and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward W. Collingwood Sr. whom she married October 30, 1953 in Cassadaga, who died November 30, 1994, a grandson Jeffrey Bailey, her mother Elsie Kenworthy and step father Hershel Kenworthy, a sister Ruth Heath, and her step mother Lucille Penhollow.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Trenchard pastor of Napoli United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Napoli United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 202, Little Valley, NY 14755.

Dale T. Johnson
Dale T. Johnson, 63, of 3022 Water St., Falconer died at 2:38 p.m. Thursday (October 18, 2007) in WCA Hospital.
A life long area resident he was born September 2, 1944 in Jamestown the son of Leonard T. and Doris M. Johnson.
Dale was a 1962 graduate of Falconer High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1963 to 1967. He had been employed by Blackstone Corporation and later by Valeo Engine & Cooling Corporation retiring in 2000.
Dale enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association. He also was a member of the R.C. Falcons Model Airplane Club and the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife Sharon K. Matthews Johnson whom he married November 6, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri, a son Christopher (Kimberly) Johnson of Tiffin, Ohio, a daughter Wendy (Joseph) Sanfilippo of Jamestown, six grandchildren; Jarod, Niklas, Anjolie and Vincent Sanfilippo all of Jamestown, Courtney Weller and Justin Boucher both of Tiffin, Ohio, his mother Doris M. Johnson of Falconer, a brother Kenton Johnson of Falconer and a sister Dawn Westrom of Bemus Point.
He was preceded in death by his father Leonard T. Johnson on December 2, 2005.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Timothy J. Hoyer pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral service Monday.
Memorials may be made to the WCA Dialysis Unit, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown, NY 14701.

Vincent Vicari Larvick
Vincent Vicari Larvick, 73, past away October 20, 2007 in the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. He was formerly of Falconer.
He was born September 25, 1934 in Chicago, Illinios the son of the late Charles Vicari Larvick and Sara Giambeluca Larvick.
He attended Our Lady of Loreto Grade School and Falconer High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1952.
Vincent loved sports especially boxing. While serving in the Navy he had won several Golden Glove Metals.
He is survived by a sister Connie Larvick and a brother Russ Larvick both of Jamestown, two nephews James Larvick and Shannon Larvick, two great nephews and nieces all of Kentucky.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.

Dorothy A. Peterson
Dorothy A. Peterson, 84, of Brookside Estates, Jamestown, died at 4:20 a.m. Saturday (October 27, 2007) in Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center.
She was the widow of William DeVere Peterson whom she married June 30, 1945, who died March 23, 1996.
Dorothy was born June 20, 1923 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Harold A. and Ruby Carlson Burns.
A 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School she was employed by Art Metal Corp where she met her husband. Dorothy also worked for 25 years for Dr. Malcolm A. Bourne and later at Bigelows Department Store and Pollys Dress Shop.
She was a 50 year member of the First Baptist Church of Jamestown and in later years belonged to the First Baptist Church of Falconer. Dorothy enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter Lynne (Richard) Weber of Jamestown, a granddaughter Karyn (Miles) Beasley of Jacksonville, NC, two great grandchildren Allison Grace Beasley and Evan Alexander Beasley both of Jacksonville, a sister-in-law Elsie Burns, a niece Aimee Town and a nephew Scott Burns.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her son David G. Peterson on March 21, 2007 and a brother Gordon Burns in 2003.
Following Dorothys wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
A private graveside committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Allen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Falconer, 37 W. Falconer St., Falconer, NY 14733 or the Baptist House of Chautauqua Institution, 125 N. Dow St., Falconer, NY 14733-1509.

Helen J. Vaughn Lippert
Helen J. Vaughn Lippert, 73, of 2733 Stone Road, died Sunday (October 28, 2007) in WCA Hospital.
She was born November 11, 1933 in Nolo, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late D. Roy Shrecengost and Elva Shrecengost Glass.
Helen was a graduate of Pine Township Schools in Indiana County, PA and a sales representative for Avon.
She attended Levant Wesleyan Church, and was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion Auxiliary and was a founding member of Chautauqua Shores Sweet Adelines Chorus.
She is survived by her husband Marvin L. Lippert whom he married September 30, 2000, three sons: Clifton G. Vaughn Jr. of Falconer, Michael F. Vaughn of Florida, David S. Vaughn and wife Rebecca of Jamestown, a grandson Alan S. Harding and wife Jamie of Celeron, two great grandchildren: Jack and Alexis Harding, and a brother Wayne Shrecengost of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Clifton G. Vaughn Sr. on December 13, 1994 whom she married May 24, 1953, and a sister Rowene Grey In 2004.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Levant Wesleyan Church. Rev. Howard Garver pastor of the church will officiate.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service.
Memorials may be made to Kennedy Fire Department, Kennedy, NY 14747 or to the Levant Wesleyan Church, 1670 Lindquist Drive, Falconer, NY 14733.

June R. Johnson
June R. Johnson, 86, of Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility died on Saturday (October 27, 2007) in the facility.
She was the widow of Aldor Johnson whom she married September 7, 1947, who died in 2000.
June was born August 7, 1921 in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania and was a member of the Thule Lodge and First Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to all and was always willing to be of help.
Surviving are her daughter Brenda June Johnson Dustin of Florida, a granddaughter Kimberly Shures of Florida, two great grandchildren, and sister Alice L. Goddard of Falconer and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her sister Jewell Dlugose and two brothers; Theodore Richard and Kimber Lance.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald Haglund will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral service in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
