George Wickett
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 18 at 10 a.m. from St. Mary of the Lake Church for George E. Wickett, 74, of Hamburg, who died Monday, July 15, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Welshofer Wickett; daughter, Maureen Buckley; sons, Brian (Laura) and Daniel Wickett; brothers, John (late Arlene), Earl (Jean) and Kenneth (Joan) Wickett; sisters, Allene (late Eugene) Gaulin, Mary Louise Wickett and Grace (late Howard) Weed; and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Wilbert (late Carol) Wickett.
Mr. Wickett was a retired plant manager for Pierce and Stevens in Buffalo. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and Hamburg Council No. 2220 Knights of Columbus.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Lake New Church Fund or Hospice Foundation.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home.

Bette Lazarski
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday (July 12) from S.S. Peter & Paul Church for Bette J. Fullerton Lazarski, 56, of Hamburg, who died Monday, July 8, 2002.
Wife of the late Thomas Lazarski, she is survived by her daughter, Michelle Lazarski; son, Thomas Lazarski; brother, Robert (Sandra) Fullerton; and sister, Shirley (Lee) Benz.
She was predeceased by her sister, Karen (Suter) DuBose.
Mrs. Lazarski was a former sales clerk at Sears.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Burial was at S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home.

Aylene Edie
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Aylene Edie, 90, of Hamburg, who died Sunday, July 14, 2002.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Arner and Vernon Edie.
Ms. Edie was the former proprietor of Aylene’s Pie Kitchen in Hamburg.
Burial will be at Collins Center Cemetery and arrangements were made through Loomis, Offers & Loomis Funeral Home.

Richard Moll
Word has been received about the death of Richard A. “Dick” Moll, 72, of Gilmore, Idaho and formerly of Hamburg, who died Sunday, July 7, 2002.
He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Robert H. and Ronald C. Moll; nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Mr. Moll was a 1948 graduate of Hamburg High School. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel as a timekeeper before moving to California and working for Capital Records, working his way up to company controller. He then moved to Arizona and served as town clerk in Jerome, Arizona. He then moved to Gilmore, Idaho and served as watermaster for two water districts. He also was a member of The Church of Latter Day Saints in Leadore.

Rose Bialik
Funeral services were held Tuesday (July 16) from Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for Rose M. Barron Bialik, 71, of Hamburg, who died Friday, July 12, 2002.
Wife of the late Stanley B. Bialik, she is survived by her brother, Steve (Margaret J.) Barron; and nieces and nephews.
Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery and arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home.

Charlotte Sessanna
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday (Aug. 24) from St. Mary’s Church in East Eden for Charlotte J. “Lottie” Kuciemba Sessanna, 80, of East Eden, who died Thursday, August 22, 2002.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Sessanna; sons, Michael (Mary), Paul (Peggy) and Timothy (Susan) Sessanna; daughters, Elaine (Joe) Conrad and Jody (Christopher) Enser; sister, Lillian (late Joseph) Kaczmarek; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor (John) Bausser.
Mrs. Sessanna worked on the family farm in East Eden.
Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home.

Thomas Lorrens
Funeral services were held Sunday (Aug. 25) from Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for Thomas M. Lorrens, formerly of Blasdell, who died Thursday, August 22, 2002.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Lorrens; son, Thomas Lorrens II; brothers, Donald (Trudy) Lorrens and William (June) Taylor; former wife, Marcia Malysza Lorrens; and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lorrens was a retired employee of West Seneca Developmental Center and a retired officer of the Village of Blasdell Police Department.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Buffalo, Inc. or the Erie County SPCA.
Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery and arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Nellis
Funeral services were held Saturday (Aug. 24) from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for Elizabeth Young Nellis, 87, of Eden, who died Wednesday, August 21, 2002.
Wife of the late Woodrow E. Nellis, she is survived by her daughters, Gail (Daniel) Agle and Sandra (Kenneth) Franz; brothers, Raymond and Wilbur Young; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Norman and Theodore Young; sister, Martha Nellis; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Eden Emergency Squad.
Burial was at St. Paul’s Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Laing Funeral Home.

Kenneth Mroz
Funeral services were held Friday (Aug. 23) from St. Francis of Assisi Church for Kenneth P. Mroz, 48, of Hamburg, who died Tuesday, August 20, 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Garbutt Mroz; son, Ryan Mroz; daughter, Lindsay Mroz; sisters, Pauline (John) Rogers, Joanne (Frank) Courtney, Mary (Stanley) Nowak and Michaeline (Daniel) Umlauf; and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mroz was employed as a foreman for Freezer Queen in Buffalo.
Arrangements were made through the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home.
