He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vivian Robbins; two daughters, Barbara (Ken) Bates and Jane (Tom) Miner both of Houghton; five grandchildren; his brother, Frank (Ethel) Robbins of Texas; his sister, Lois McCann of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. He was professor Emeritus of History at Roberts Wesleyan College and was a former Republican Committee Member in the Town of Chili.
McGurrin, J. Harper, On February 21, 2001 at age 85. He was predeceased by his wives, Edna (Drown) McGurrin and Emily (Monahan) McGurrin. He is survived by three sons, Gene, Donald and Paul; two daughters-in-law, Marcia and Randie; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Roger Monahan and Dan Casey; his sister-in-law, Irene McGurrin; his step-father, Steve Lenox; several nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Delco Products and was a member of Etolian Lodge #479 F. & A.M.
Rohr, Robert J. Jr., Age 92, of Fort Myers on February 19, 2001. He was a member of the Kraft Masonic Lodge, #943, F.&A.M. for over 70 years. He retired in 1973 as the Director of Engineering after 25 years of service with the Eastman Kodak Company. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Harriett Rohr; son, Robert J. III (Mary) of New Hampshire; daughter, Bonita (Brenon) Caton of Spencerport; four grand-children; seven great grandchildren.
Brown, Shirley A., (Carpenter), at age 65 on March 13, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Jay Donald Brown; two sons, J. Donald and Michael G. Brown both of Albion; mother-in-law, Doris F. Brown; sisters-in-law, Clar Carpenter of Georgia, Penny Brown of Albion, Sara (Thomas) Phillips of Brockport; six nieces.
Biggar, Clifton Arthur, at age 70, died March 11, 2001. Survived by daughters, Sharon (David) Pontes of Lakeland, Florida and Shelly (Martin) Skiles of Polk City, Florida; grandchildren, Christopher and Abigail Skiles; step-brothers, Merle and Harold Hazel, both of Albion and step-daughter, Debbie Bourke of Waterport; several cousins. Predeceased by mother Belle Hazel in 2000.
Connors, Kathleen G., March 8, 2001 at age 79 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, E. Jay Connors. Survived by her loving daughter, Maureen (Paul) Fortner of Brockport; her grandchildren, P. Jay Fortner of Chicago and Katie Fortner of Brockport.
Rhodes, Betsy Ruth, March 6, 2001 at age 85 at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. Predeceased by her brother, Ralph E. Rhodes, Jr. of Ohio and nephew, Thomas Tessina. Survived by her sisters, Edna Tessina of Webster, Vivian (Charles) Roman; sister-in-law, Marilyn Rhodes of Ohio; nieces and nephews. She was a dental hygienist for 46 years with Dr. George Bott and Dr. Harold Craw of Brockport.
Mellema, Barbara Jean (List), Sunday, March 11, 2001 at age 48 after a long illness. Survived by her son, Kenneth Jr.; brothers, Daniel (Marnie) List and Thomas (Tracy) List; sister, Kathleen Brunshidle; several nieces, nephews and many dear relatives and friends.
Goodenough, Edward G., March 12, 2001 at age 49. Supervisor of maintenance with Boss Precision LTD of Spencerport. Husband of Claudia J. Webster Goodenough. Father of Daniel F. (Colleen) and Jillian Goodenough; son of Richard and Lillian Goodenough; brother of Ross, Richard, Michael (Ann), James (Darlene Nier) Goodenough, Deborah (Guy) Grant, Terry (James) Sailor, Judy (David) Michel and Darlene (Jeffrey) Shadler; grandfather of Austin and Jenica Goodenough; uncle of several. Predeceased by his brother-in-law, Terry Webster and his uncle, Leo Norton.
Kucko, William, (Boleslaw), Saturday, March 10, 2001 at age 75. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Alfreda Kucko; four daughters, Lucy (John) Williamson of Churchville, Krystyna (William) Scharvogel of Bergen, Barbara (Mark) Borgus of Churchville and Magdalene (Aaron) Horton of Brockport; eight grandchildren and relatives in Poland. He was a retiree of Taylor Instrument Company and was a member of PNA.
Matula, Robert W., Suddenly March 13, 2001 at age 32. He is survived by his mother, Mary Andrews; his father, Thomas Matula; his daughter, Tahnea; his siblings, John Matula, Laurie Matula, Kim Ebert, Lisa Williams (Kurt), Cynthia Lapinski (Ron); four nieces and one nephew; great aunt, Alice Kenyon and his special friends "Buttons."
Dyment, Murle R., March 7, 2001 at age 91, widow of C. Roy Dyment. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Doris Dyment of Prince Edward Island and Evelyn Dyment of Nova Scotia; several nieces and nephews; devoted neighbors and friends.
