Jennie Lindsley
Ret. Dietician, 92

Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of the life of Jennie Lindsley who died on October 1 at the age of 92. She was born in Danville, KY, but lived for more than 40 years in White Sulphur Springs before moving to Naples, FL in 1983. She was an active member of her community as an advocate for education and for many charitable causes. She was employed in the cafeteria at LCS and was the dietician at the WSS Elementary School. Later, she clerked at Marcia's in Liberty for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Terene (Norman) Stewart of Oswego, Susan (John) McGorrian of Woodstock, IL, and Barbara Lindsley (Roberty Sherwood) of Thornton, CO; by her five grandchildren; and by her two great-grandchildren. Married to Feldon Lindsley (deceased) for 40 years, She was the sister-in-law of Ann and Milton Lindsley and Ginny Lindsley of Jeffersonville and Irene Hofmann of Naples, FL and was the devoted friend of Arlene Bradley and others of White Sulphur Springs.
Her memorial service will be held in her beloved White Sulphur Springs Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on October 23. A reception will follow at the WSS Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Hospice or to the White Sulphur Springs Methodist Church.

Frank Feller, 86
Ret. Bus Dispatcher

Frank Feller of Bethel, a retired bus dispatcher for the Manhattan, Bronx Surface Transit Co. and a longtime area resident, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at the Columbia Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was 86 years of age.
The son of the late Hyman and Gertrude Weinstein Feller, he was born February 25, 1915, in the Bronx.
Mr. Feller was a member of the Fallsburg Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, the Shriners Lodge and the International Order of Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his wife, Reene Kleinberg Feller, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Howard Sionsky of Garnerville; a son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Anna Feller of North Carolina; a brother, Rubin Feller of White Lake; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Rosalyn Weissler and Trudy Thompson.
Services will be held at noon on Tuesday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello with Rabbi Irwin Tanenbaum officiating.
Masonic services will also be held at noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in the Temple Beth-El Cemetery in Bethel.
Shiva will be observed at the family home in Garnerville through Friday

Ralph S. Breakey, Jr.
Ret. general manager, 81

Ralph S. Breakey, Jr., a retired general manager for Monticello Photo, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at his home in Monticello. He was 81.
The son of the late Dr. Ralph S. Breakey, Sr. and Madeline O'Neil Breakey, he was born August 15, 1925 in Monticello.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He was a 60+ year member and current Post Commander of the American Legion Ruddick-Trowbridge Post #73 and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Bailey-Richman Post #9588 in Monticello; a member of the Monticello Fire Department; Monticello Elk's Lodge #1544; the Masons, the Shriners; and was an alumnus of both Paul Smith's College and New England College; and a former deputy for the Sullivan County Sheriff.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Edith Cross Breakey at home; a daughter, Debra Henderson and her husband, Joel of Fayetteville, Ark.; three sons: John Breakey and his wife, Laurie of Wilmington, Del., Shawn Breakey and Brian Breakey, both of Georgia; three stepsons: Earl Conklin, Jr. and his wife, Clarese, Victor Marinello and his fiancée, Loretta Young and John Marinello, all of Monticello; five grandchildren: Jennifer Harp and her husband, Galen of Fayetteville, Ark., Edith Koen, Antonia Heininger and her husband, Jeffrey, Earl Conklin III and his wife, Lindsay and Jonathan Conklin; two great-grandchildren, Derick Koen and Alexander Heininger; his sister, Barbara Katz and her husband, Rubin of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Ralph S. Breakey III.
Visitation was held Monday at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Various fraternal organizations held their services on Monday evening at the funeral home.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel.

Albert J. Hamel
Ret. store handler, 76

Albert J. Hamel, of Walden, a retired Stores Handler for Trans World Airlines, and Support Manager for Wal-Mart in Newburgh and a 10-year resident of the area, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Westchester. He was 76.
The son of the late Albert Hamel and Ella Johnson Hamel, he was born September 19, 1930 in Brooklyn.
He was a member of the Walden Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Hamel at home; son, Scott Hamel and his wife, Susan of Bloomingburg; daughter, Wendy Sarcka and her husband, Dave of Nevada; three grandsons: Benjamin Hamel of Bloomingburg, Anthony Gazis of Long Island, and Tyler Sarcka of Nevada; three sisters: June Tetzlaff of Howard Beach, Caroline Zappala and husband, Sonny of the Bronx, and Linda Murray and husband, Richard of Shohola, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, with a funeral service following with the Rev. James Van Houten officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Camp Hope, PO Box 670, Carmel, NY 10512 in memory of Albert.
Arrangements were made by Millspaugh Funeral Directors.

James Wilson
Plant Supt., 53

James "Jim" Gregory Wilson, plant superintendent of Sullivan County Correctional Facility, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Albany Medical Center. He was 53.
He was the son of Dr. James, and June Peace, Wilson. He was born December 22, 1953 in Biloxi, Miss.
He was honorably discharged after serving his country as an Air Force Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion of Post 1748 in Lake Katrine, and NYS Public Employees Federation AFL-CLO.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Ruef-Wilson; parents five stepchildren, Patricia Elliot, Michael, Martin, Daniel Ruef, all of Woodbourne, and Chivon Boice of Lake Katrine; one sister, Dr. Janis Wilson of Kentucky; one brother, Dr. David Wilson and his wife, Cindy of Colorado and six grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home on Friday.
Services were held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday. Internment was held at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery with full honors. The Rev. Carl Stiglich Sr. officiated.

Robert L. Cohen
Glazier, 57

Robert L. Cohen of Monticello, a glazier for W & W Glass in Nanuet, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 15, 2007 in the Town of Ramapo. He was 57.
The son of Sol Cohen and the late Laura Wells Murran, he was born April 6, 1949 in Monticello.
A veteran of the United States Army in Vietnam, he was also a member of Glaziers Local #1281 in New York City and the Ridgerunners Hunting Club in Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia E. Cohen, at home; his father, Sol Cohen and his wife, Denise of Goshen; a son, Jeremy Cohen and a daughter, Tiffany Cohen and her fiancé, Bill Vanistenstal, all of Spring Hill, Fla.; four stepsons: Brian Messenger of Otisville, Neil Messenger of Round Top, John Messenger of Jeffersonville, Fla. and Dylan Messenger of Monticello; five grandchildren: Gary, Collin and Mason Messenger, and Alex and Preston Cleveland; six brothers: Steven Cohen and his wife, Kelly of Tucson, Ariz., Scott Murran and his wife, Kelly of Monticello, Jim Murran and his wife, Pam of Rock Hill, Ira Cohen of Buffalo, David Cohen and his wife, Victoria of San Francisco, Calif., and Adam Cohen and his fiancée, Kristin Smith of Virginia Beach, Va.; an uncle, William Wells and his wife, Rosemary of the state of Florida; cousins: Nancy Wells, Richard Wells and Al Wells, all of the State of Florida, and Patricia Bennett and her husband, Richard of Queensbury; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Stephen Murran.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in the VanKeuren Cemetery in Swan Lake.

Robert Maneely, Jr., 69

Robert J. Maneely Jr. of Wallkill, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 69.
The son of the late Robert and Christine Heinz Maneely, he was born January 26, 1938 in Ossining.
Mr. Maneely was a retired Truck Driver for Beansey Towing Service in Newburgh.
Survivors include his son, Robert J. Maneely III of Wallkill; daughters, Mary Turner of Wurtsboro, and Pam Cazorla of Newburgh; his brothers: Richard Maneely of Roscoe, Norman Maneely of New Paltz, and Matthew Heinz of Florida; sister, Christine Ross of Alabama; as well as eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Maneely; his daughter, Patricia Ann Turner, and his brother, Michael Maneely.
Visitation was held on Monday at the White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Plank Rd., Rte 32, Town of Newburgh.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Monsignor John Budwick officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Eugene Williams
Ret. youth supervisor, 80

Eugene E. Williams, 80, of Port Jervis, a retired Youth Supervisor at the Goshen Annex, and lifetime resident of the area, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Valley View Nursing Home.
Eugene was born February 26, 1927 in Port Jervis, the son of the late Oscar A. and the late Ethel L. Brinson Williams Sr.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Stormala Spears of Jeffersonville; a brother, Oscar A. Williams Jr. of Paterson, NJ; two granddaughters, Trella Williams and Dana Coxson; four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Beach and Virginia Keys.
Visitation and funeral services were held at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, on Monday with the Rev. A. Robin Martineau officiating. Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville.
