Caroline M. Turk
Ret. Dressmaker, 83

Caroline M. Turk of Livingston Manor, a dressmaker and former owner of Poly Clean in Livingston Manor, and a 55-year area resident, died Wednesday, February 16, 2000, at her home. She was 83 years of age.
The daughter of the late Benedetto and Adelaide Aluno Fioretti, she was born April 21, 1916, in New York City.
Mrs. Turk was a member of St. Aloysius Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Lester White American Legion Post #566, both in Livingston Manor. She did charity work during WWII and sold War Bonds for the National Security Women's Corps.
She is survived by her husband, Chauncy E. Turk, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Adelaide Carolyn and Stanley Wesolek of West Hempstead; a brother, Joseph Fioretti of Delaware; a sister, Rose Grant of Utica; three granddaughters, Carolyn, Christina and Julianna; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Aloysius Church in Livingston Manor.
Burial will be made in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Livingston Manor in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston Manor Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box #1, Livingston Manor, N.Y. 12758; to Hospice of Sullivan County, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, N.Y. 12550; or to St. Aloysius Church, Livingston Manor, N.Y. 12758.

Myles Reilly, 75
Ret. Dairy Farmer

Myles Reilly of Jeffersonville, a retired dairy farmer, a real estate broker and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. He was 75 years of age.
The son of the late Thomas and Beatrice McDermott Reilly, he was born May 30, 1924, in Bethel.
Mr. Reilly was a member of St. George's R.C. Church in Jeffersonville, the Sullivan County Farm Bureau and the Sullivan County Board of Realtors.
He is survived by a sister, Anne Mages of Jeffersonville; several cousins; and many devoted friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Jack Reilly.
Friends may call at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. George's R.C. Church in Jeffersonville with Father Robert Nee officiating.
Burial will be made in Calvary Cemetery in Youngsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Cemetery, c/o St. George's R.C. Church, Jeffersonville, N.Y. 12748, or to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th St., New York, N.Y. 10032.

Florence C. Baker
Ret. Housekeeper, 67

Florence C. "Tootie" Baker of Middletown, a retired employee of the housekeeping department at St. Theresa's Nursing Home in Middletown and a longtine area resident, died Monday, Febraury 14, 2000, at her home. She was 67 years of age.
The daughter of the late Andrew and Ella DeGroat, she was born February 24, 1932, in Branchville, N.J. She was the widow of Frederick Baker.
She is survived by four daughters, Mildred Baker, Mary Lou Baker and Darlene Baker, all of Middletown, and Marlene Kolk of Bloomingburg; two sons, Fred Baker Jr. and Mark Baker, both of Middletown; a brother, Harold DeGroat of Otisville; two sisters, Viola Masher of Liberty and Mildred Brink of Middletown; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-In-grassia Funeral Home in Middletown with the Rev. Kenneth Wonderland officiating.
Burial was made in the Wallkill Cemetery in Phillipsburg.

Pearl DeBare
Ret. Bookkeeper, 72

Pearl DeBare of South Fallsburg, a retired 26-year bookkeeper for Star Dairy in Rock Hill and South Fallsburg and a longtime area resident, died Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 72 years of age.
The daughter of the late David Bayzer, she was born March 14, 1927, in Brooklyn. She was the widow of Marvin DeBare.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey DeBare of South Fallsburg; two sisters, Anita Freidman of Little Neck and Dorothy Hecht of Cliffside Park N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were held Wednesday at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale.
Funeral arrangements were made by Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello.

Doris Krupka
Homemaker, 73

Doris Krupka of Liberty, a homemaker and a longtime area resident, died Monday, February 14, 2000, at the Walnut Mountain Care Center in Liberty. She was 73 years of age.
The daughter of the late Simon and Ida Edelson Levine, she was born September 6, 1926, in New York City. She was the widow of Aaron Krupka.
Mrs. Krupka was a member of Congregation Ahavath Israel Synagogue in Liberty.
She is survived by a daughter, Mindy Krupka of Liberty; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Meryl Krupka of Edison, N.J.; a brother, Stanley Levine of Brooklyn; a sister, Ruby Adamousky of Brooklyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday at the Congregation Ahavath Israel Synagogue in Liberty with Rabbi Irving Goodman officiating.
Burial was made in Congregation Ahavath Israel Cemetery in Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Ahavath Israel Synagogue, Liberty, N.Y. 12754, or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello.

Mary ‘Renee’ Ryan
Retired RN, 82

Mary I. "Renee" Ryan, a 25-year resident of Lake Wales, Fla., formerly of Woodcliff Lake, N.J., and a retired registered nurse, died Monday, February 7, 2000, at The Grove Center. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late Franklin and Caroline Dwyer, she was born August 15, 1917, in New York City.
Mrs. Ryan was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She graduated in 1936 from Callicoon High School.
She is survived by her husband, John J. Ryan; two daughters, Patricia Andrews of Tucson, Ariz., and Kathleen Ryan of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, J. Kevin Ryan of Monroe, N.J.; two sisters, Marion Roche of Callicoon and Helen Hoffman of Elmira; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery in Callicoon.

Evelyn D. Stanton
Homemaker, 84

Evelyn D. Stanton of Mongaup Valley, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 84 years of age.
The daughter of the late Charles and Olga Bernhardt Rouff, she was born August 23, 1915, in Bethel. She was the widow of George Stanton Sr.
Mrs. Stanton was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department.
She is survived by a son, Dudley Stanton of Mongaup Valley; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by a son, George Stanton Jr., a daughter, Marlene Lichtenberger; a brother, Fred Rouff and a grandson, Roger Lichtenberger.
Services were held at the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Kauneonga Lake on Thursday evening with the Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating.
Cremation was made at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 31, White Lake, N.Y. 12786.

Leona B. Walker
Homemaker, 81

Leona B. "Lee" Walker, a three-year resident of Englewood, N.J., a homemaker and former 13-year resident of Acidalia, formerly of the Bronx, died Wednesday, February 16, 2000, at her home. She was 81 years of age.
She was born October 17, 1918, and was the widow of John H. "Jack" Walker.
In a family statement, it was said, " "'Noni' will be sorely missed by many loved ones."
Mrs. Walker was a former member of the Delaware Valley Senior Citizens in Callicoon and the United Methodist Church of Fremont Center. She was a member of the Guys and Dolls Senior Social Club in New Jersey.
She is survived by a daughter, Sigrid E. Martin; a son, John E. Martin; three sisters, Ella Bradford, Marie Peterson and Florence Peterson; two grandchildren, Samantha A. and Richard A. Martin.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Community Baptist Church, 224 First St., Englewood, N.J.
Interment will be made in the Fremont Methodist Church Cemetery in Fremont Center.

E. Douglas Johnson
Ret. Businessman, 73

E. Douglas Johnson of The Villages, Fla., a former resident of Upper Nyack, died Thursday, February 10, 2000, in Florida. He was 73 years of age.
The son of the late H. Edward and Eleanor Johnson, he was born March 2, 1926, in Nyack.
A graduate of Nyack High School, Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1944 to 1946. He owned the Nyack Typewriter Exchange and Consolidated Office Equipment companies until his retirement to Florida in 1996.
A former member of the Nyack Rotary Club, Mr. Johnson was a life member of the Nyack American Legion Post #310, served on the board of the Nyack Field Club, was a soccer official with the Rockland County Soccer Officials and was a former member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack where he taught the altar boys for many years.
In a family statement it was said, "He will be sadly missed by his family and multitude of friends."
He is survived by his wife, Hilda; a son, Douglas of Shelby, N.C.; three daughters, Christine of Libertyville, Ill., Jaye of Monticello and Jennifer of Delray Beach, Fla.; a sister, Elizabeth Hoyt of Blairsville, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, Nyack.
The Nyack American Legion will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grace Episcopal Church, 130 First Ave., Nyack.
Interment will be private.
