Doris LeRoy
Homemaker, 76

Doris LeRoy of North Branch, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the Horton campus of the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 76 years of age.
The daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Lauer Berghauser, she was born September 12, 1928, in New York City. She was the widow of Joseph LeRoy.
Mrs. LeRoy was a member of the North Branch Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Obernburg.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara LeRoy of Fremont Center; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Paul Krantz of Glen Allen, Va.; three grandchildren, Ed LeRoy, Trish LeClere and Keri Crum; two great-grandchildren, Briana Cole-LeRoy and Skyler LeClere; a sister-in-law,. Frances Mauer of Honesdale, Pa.; several nephews; and a niece. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie LeRoy.
There will be no visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Obernburg with Father Gus Richardson, O.F.M. officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery in Obernburg.
Memorial cotributions may be made to the North Branch Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, North Branch, N.Y. 12766 or to the American Cancer Society Hudson Valley District, 169 Green St., Kingston, N.Y. 12401.

Joyce A. Babcock
Homemaker, 73

Joyce Arlene Babcock of Gardiner, a homemaker and a 40-year area resident, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, in Goshen. She was 73 years of age.
The daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth Kleingartner Walker, she was born March 15, 1932, in Cooks Falls.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda Babcock of New Windsor, Randy and Cindy Babcock of Cochecton and Bart Babcock and his girlfriend, Kacey, of Gardiner; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Peter Kenworthy of Walkill; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Catherine Walker of Montague, N.J.; four grandchildren, Michele, Kristi, Wayne Scott and Lisa Babcock; four nieces and nephews; and four step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Eugene Babcock, and two brothers, Herman Walker Jr. and Allen E. Walker.
Friends may call at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Walden, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden, N.Y. 12586 or to the American Lung Association, The Hudson Valley Chapter, 35 Orchard St., White Plains, N.Y. 10603-3397.

Jesus Robles Jr., 26

Jesus Pena "Junior" Robles Jr. of Schenectady, a former resident of Monticello and employed by The Center for the Disabled in Schenectady, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in Schenectady. He was 26 years of age.
The son of Machelle Horace and the late Jesus Penna Robles Sr., he was born March 9, 1979, in Palm Beach, Fla.
In a family statement, it was said, "Junior died doing one of the things he enjoyed most: riding his motorcycle. He was a loving, kind and generous son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He loved playing basketball and hanging out with his neighborhood friends."
He is survived by his mother of Monticello; three sisters, Monique Robles of Monticello, Christina Pena Martinez of Schenectady and Danielle H. Gibbs of Albany; his maternal grandmother, Mabel Horace of Monticello; five aunts, Lisa Crawford and Christina Robles Pena, both of Monticello, Rosa Robles Pena of the state of Florida, Maria Robles Pena and Pedra Robles Pena, both of Puerto Rico; five uncles, Savage, Vernon and Samuel Horace, all of Monticello, Luis Robles Pena of Puerto Rico and Luis Alberto Robles Pena of the state of Florida; two nieces, Nichelle Jackson of Schenectady and Domonique Sims of Monticello; four grand-aunts; a grand-uncle; two brothers-in-law, Ivan Martinez of Puerto Rico and Vincent Wright of Jamaica; two godsons, Anthony Johnson and Daniel Williams of Schenectady; his companion, Michelle Rodriguez of Schenectady; two nephews, Dezmon Smith of Schenectady and Vincent Wright of Monticello; and a host of cousins and friends. He was predeceased by two uncles, Maurice Horace and Nicholas Robles.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at King's Chapel Mission Church, 15 Spring St., Monticello, with Bishop Leon Williams officiating.
Burial will be made in Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Monticello.

Eva Mae Hahl
Ret. Nurse's Aide, 65

Eva Mae Hahl of Hortonville, a retired nurse's aide at the Catskill Regional Medical Center and a longtime area resident, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at her home. She was 65 years of age.
The daughter of Hannah Dunk Hahl and the late Charles Hahl, she was born August 12, 1939, in Salem, N.J.
She is survived by her mother of North Branch; a brother, James Hahl and his family of Roscoe; and her extended family of Mike and Kim of North Branch and Cindy and Cathy of Hortonville.
There was no visitation.
Cremation was held at the Twin Tiers Crematory in Endicott
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements were made by the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon.

Emma D. Menotti
Ret. Seamstress, 97

Emma D. Menotti of Narrowsburg, a retired seamstress for the Katz Factory in Honesdale, Pa., and a longtime area resident, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Julia Ribaudo Home in Lake Ariel, Pa. She was 97 years of age.
The daughter of the late Arthur and Annie Klein Dexter, she was born December 6, 1907, in Atco, Pa. She was the widow of Adore Menotti.
Mrs. Menotti was a member of the Tusten Senior Citizens and the Lava Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
In a family statement, it was said, "She loved sewing and was an avid card player. She will be greatly missed."
She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Luella "Corky" and John Tenbus of Narrowsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Murtha and Laura Alvarez.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Rasmussen Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Hagedorn officiating.
Burial was made in the Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Narrowsburg, N.Y. 12764.

Lauren C. Getman
Homemaker, 42

Lauren C. Getman of Yankee Lake, a homemaker and a five-year area resident, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Wurtsboro. She was 42 years of age.
The daughter of Joseph and Rosemary Sharp Cepuran, she was born May 22, 1962, in Orlando, Fla.
In a family statement, it was said, "Lauren will be remembered for her zest for life, her love of the outdoors, especially the ocean, and the joy she had in keeping her garden."
She is survived by her parents; her fiance, Warren Lindridge; four brothers and their families; and many friends who will miss her so much.
Funeral arrangements were made by the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Wurtsboro.

Frances Sullivan
Community Activist, 67

Frances R. Sullivan of Wurtsboro, formerly of the Bronx and Yonkers and a community activist for the Fordham Bedford Housing Corp, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at the Horton campus of the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 67 years of age.
She is survived by her husband of over 45 years, Jack Sullivan, at home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Richie of Peekskill, and Mary and Nelson of Wurtsboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Yvette Sullivan of Bloomingburg, and Tommy and Margarite Sullivan of Pearl River; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, John, Rudy and Tom; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Church in Wurtsboro on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Peter Madori officiating.
Burial will be made in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
Funeral arrangements were made by the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Wurtsboro.

Joseph B. Hardy, 83
Ret, R.E.A. Exp. Emply.

Joseph B. Hardy, a 7-year resident of Middletown, and a retired employee of R.E.A. Express in Hackensack, N.J. and in Westchester, Rockland County, for 35 years, retiring in 1982, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Horton campus of the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 83 years of age.
The son of the late Joseph and Hannah O'Conner Hardy, he was born November 26, 1921, in Park Ridge, N.J.
In a family statement, it was said, "Dad was a loving husband, and a great Pop-Pop who loved his family and children. He enjoyed fishing and traveling in his motor home and made friends wherever he went. He helped all who needed him."
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Geddes Hardy, at home; four children and their spouses, James and Lorraine Hardy of Middletown, Kevin and Liz Hardy of Thiells, Meg Ann and Robert Baisley of Middletown and Patti and Bob Anderson of Wurtsboro; a sister, Marjorie Hardy of Nanuet; and eight grandchildren, Mary Ann, Erin, Kathleen, Joseph, Melanie, Victoria, Madeline and Anna.
Graveside services and burial were held Thursday at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.

Joseph Alvarez
Ret. Truck Driver, 79

Joseph Alvarez of Narrowsburg, a retired truck driver of 44 years for Narrowsburg Lumber Co. and a longtime area resident, died Sunday, April 10, 2005, in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was 79 years of age.
The son of the late Frank and Caroline Barcella Alvarez, he was born August 24, 1925, in New York City. He was the widower of Laura Dexter Alvarez who died October 28, 1998.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, he served as a PFC with Company "C" 17th Armored Infantry Battalion, receiving a Purple Heart with Cluster.
Mr. Alvarez was a member and past chief of the Narrowsburg Fire Department and a former member of the Tusten Lions Club.
In a family statement, it was said, "He was a loving husband, father, grandfather who took great pride in his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed."
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Cannon Alvarez, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Williams of Edgewater, Fla.; a brother, Tony Alvarez of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Heather Engler of Landisville, N.J. and Samantha Elliott of Edgewater, Fla.; five great-grandchildren; and Elaine's four children from a previous marriage, Barbara, Carol, Bill and John, her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg with the Rev. Paul Hagedorn officiating.
Burial will be made in the Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg.
