JOSEPH EUGENE WHITE, 27, died Sept. 1, 2006, at his mother's home in Oakwood.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood. Pastor Lonnie Lambert will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the White Children Education Fund.

Lima
SHERRI L. WHITE, 48, died at 9:48 p.m. Sept. 2, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 22, 1958, in Springfield to Johnnie Sr. and Lillie Mae Owens White, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Javen A. White of Lima; two daughters, Teniea White, currently serving in the military, and LaTalia White of Cincinnati; a granddaughter, Jada White; two brothers, Johnnie White Jr. of Lima, and Darrell White of Lima; eight sisters, Terri L. White of Lima, Stephanie (Craig) Huggins of Lima, Cynthia R. White of Lima, Naomi White of Lima, Alisha White of Lima, Felita White (Dava) Jones of Lima, and Gwen (Brad) Woodson of Atlanta, and Elmer J. Myers of Jackson, Miss.; a close friend, Carol Morris of Lima; and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Fayne G. Wise will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will be accepting food for a family dinner that will follow services.

Wapakoneta
EMERSON EUGENE BURNFIELD, 83, died at 9:50 p.m. Dec. 17, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 12, 1923, in Allen County to James Leland and Leona P. Boyer Burnfield, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 28, 1947, he married Marjorie L. Shields, who survives.
Mr. Burnfield retired as a farmer and had worked at ASCS, Wapakoneta. He attended Bethlehem Christian Union Church, Grace Baptist Church, Lima, and Wapakoneta Church of the Nazarene, where he served as an elder, Sunday school superintendent, trustee and Bible teacher. He had been a Logan Township trustee. He was a member and past president of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a member of the Buckland School board of education. He was a missionary in several mission fields, including Nigeria, Panama, Belize, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Bolivia. He had been a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader, a lifeguard at the YMCAs in Wapakoneta and Celina, a certified scuba diver and a black belt in judo. The two important things in his life were his faith in God and his love for his family. He loved the family farm, taking walks along the river, music and playing the flute and piccolo.
Survivors also include three sons, Tim (Linda) Burnfield, of Ansonia, Ted (Abbie) Burnfield, of Lisbon, N.D., and Dan (Pam) Burnfield, of Wapakoneta; four daughters, Sue (Walt) Ramsey, of Mansfield, Kay (Jerry) Mack, of Wapakoneta, Joy (Fred) Stone, of Mansfield, and Kit (Michael) Bowersock, of Wapakoneta; 33 grandchildren, John Sink, Earl Burnfield, Scott (Amey) Sink, Nathan (Betty) Burnfield, Reece Burnfield, Lisa Kinnison, Andria Ramsey, Jason (Holli) Ramsey, Rachelle (Ryan) Connor, Andy (Julie) Burnfield, Gary (Annie) Burnfield, Lindsey Burnfield, Crystal Burnfield, Brad (Kiki) Burnfield, Alison (Josh) McAteer, Brent (Liz) Burnfield, Wesley (Melissa) Mack, Miranda Mack, Branon (Katy) Mack, Jordon (Amber) Mack, Heath (Tonna) Stone, Jerrod (Jaime) Stone, Nicholas Stone, Alia Stone, Elaina Bowersock, Roberta (Tim) Thaman, Samuel (Jennifer) Bowersock, Abram Bowersock, Kirsten Bowersock, Boaz Bowersock, Ethan Bowersock, Eli Bowersock and Michaiah Bowersock; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris (John) Hilty, of Columbus; a brother-in-law, Lee Winters, of Spencerville; a sister-in-law, Ruth Burnfield, of Spencerville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four grandchildren, Charity, Clint and James Daniel Burnfield and Benjamin Jevin Ramsey; three brothers, J. Frederick and twins, Forest and Morris Burnfield; and two sisters, Dorothy Winters and Ruth (Kenneth Dee) Sherer.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastors Ted Burnfield, Carl Miller and Ward Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Amanda cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and noon until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Auglaize County Relay for Life or Youth for Christ International Kugali Christian School.

Lima
JOHN C. GOUGH, 89, died at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 14, 2006, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.
He was born April 18, 1917, in Dillon, S.C., to John Thomas and Maggie Bryant Gough, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 29, 1942, in California, he married Louise Idell Buckland, who died April 1, 2001.
Mr. Gough retired in 1994 from Range Kleen, where the annex was named after him. He had also retired from Scots Inn as an accountant. He was a member of New Creation Lutheran Church. He was active in the Boy Scouts. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all. He was a Navy veteran, serving from Nov. 15, 1938, to April 16, 1946. He rejoined in 1951, serving 17 months during the Korean War. He loved to golf. He and his wife enjoyed bowling and square dancing.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Louise Cravatt, of Toledo, and Elizabeth Ann (Tim) Weitz, of Lima; two sisters, Beatrice Huggins, of Little Rock, Ark., and Ruth E. Burgess, of Hampton, Va.; and three grandchildren, Annie Weitz, Brian Weitz, and Nikki Weitz.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Jerome, L.H. and Marion Gough; and three sisters, Emma Oveido Gough Gibbs, Vera Gough Herring and Ruby Snipes.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Samuel Payne will officiate. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Shawnee cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Boys & Girls Town, or New Creation Lutheran Church.
The family would like to express thanks and love to the staff, nurses and aides at Wapakoneta Manor for all the tender loving care and concern they gave him.

Columbus Grove
ALICE BIRKEMEYER WHITE, 74, died at 1:15 a.m. Dec. 17, 2006, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
She was born May 30, 1932, in Columbus Grove to Harry and Nina Karcher Birkemeyer, who preceded her in death. On June 11, 1989, she married Donald E. White, who died Jan. 27, 1998.
Mrs. White had worked at the Goodwin Insurance Agency, Columbus Grove, for 28 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. She was a graduate of St. Anthony and Columbus Grove schools. She was also a graduate of Northwest Business College, Lima. She always enjoyed her family and friends, playing cards and playing bingo. She will be sadly missed by her loving dog, Holly.
Survivors include four brothers, Vincent Birkemeyer, of Ruskin, Fla., Norman (Betty) Birkemeyer, of Glandorf, Richard Birkemeyer, of Jackson Center, and Thomas Birkemeyer, of Columbus Grove; several nephews, nieces and cousins; and several friends, including her special friend, Ernie Slechter, of Pandora.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Birkemeyer.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. The Revs. Ron Warnimont and Marshall Metzger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Ottawa Missionary Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

Dunkirk
CHELSEA L. RATLIFF, 18, died at 2:18 a.m. Dec. 17, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born Oct. 19, 1988, in Kenton to Douglas Hoyt and Rhonda Ratliff. Her father and stepmother, Amy Hoyt, survive in Ada. Her mother survives in Dunkirk.
Miss Ratliff was a student at Kenton Senior High School, Kenton.
Survivors also include a sister, Tiffany Gamble, of Kenton; a half sister, Stephanie Hoyt, of Ada; a half brother, Dale Hoyt, of Ada; two stepsisters, Paige Dirmeyer and Gracie Dirmeyer, both of Ada; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Sheila Curl, of Dunkirk, and Tom and Karen Ratliff, of Kenton; paternal grandmother, Barb Hoyt, of Lima; and paternal great-grandparents, Harriet Hoyt, of Ada, and Ken Hoyt, of Upper Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Brittany Ratliff; and paternal grandfather, James Hoyt.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Price Funeral Home, Dunkirk. Pastor Karew Manns will officiate. Burial will be in Grove cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

New Bavaria
NORMA ALICE FIKE BELL, 86, died the morning of Dec. 17, 2006, at her daughter's residence in New Bavaria.
She was born March 8, 1920, in Miller City to Solomon and Dora Yarger Fike, who preceded her in death. In 1939, she married Richard E. Bell, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Bell was a life member of Leipsic United Methodist Church, Leipsic, where she served on several committees, district offices and conference missions. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and in 1963 she was a founding member of the Defiance chapter of the VMCCA. She served as a presiding judge for the Putnam County Board of Elections for 31 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (John) Casteel, of Leipsic, and Jean (Dennis) Zachrich, New Bavaria; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Clarence Fike; two sisters, Edna Baker and Ruth Hicks; and a son, Edward.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Leipsic United Methodist Church, Leipsic. Pastor Mary Bishong will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge cemetery, Leipsic.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Leipsic United Methodist Church or the Hospice of Henry County.
Arrangements are by Zachrich Funeral Services, Holgate.
