Nancy Gloria Farris, 67, of Blanchester, died Tuesday (Sept. 16, 2003) at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. She is survived by her husband, Alex R. Farris of Blanchester. They were married 49 years.
Mrs. Farris was born March 10, 1936, in Cincinnati, daughter of the late Mr. Meyers and Emma Campbell.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ronda Achor of Bellefontaine; two brothers, Elmer Meyers of Blanchester and Kenneth Meyers of Loveland; two half-brothers, James Ashley and Milton Ashley; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Meyers.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, the Rev. John L. Blount Sr. officiating, with burial in Blanchester I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Blanchester. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Nancy Ann Hubbell, 56, of Clarksville, died Thursday (Sept. 11, 2003) in Clarksville. She is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Hubbell.
Mrs. Hubbell was born Jan. 17, 1947, in Clarksville, daughter of the late Verner and Lillian McKee Gray.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Gerald M. Hubbell, Jerri Miller, Tammy Carr, James M. Hubbell; a sister, Aleda Bolin; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Clarksville Cemetery, Gene Fields officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of TUFTS SCHILDMEYER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester.
Brenda K. Kearns
Died: Wednesday, September 10, 2003
Age: 54
Brenda K. Kearns, 54, of Wilmington, died Wednesday (Sept. 10, 2003) at Continental Manor, Blanchester.
She was born April 19, 1949, in Clinton County, daughter of Vivian Marcella Rambo Kearns and the late Eugene Kearns.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by five sisters, Ramona Meyer of Wilmington, Margene Edwards of Delta, Ala., Evelyn Akin of Waco, Ga., Marjorie McCoy of Midland and Geneva Marsh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Kearns.
A memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Sunday at the Wilmington Church of God, Pastor Elizabeth Looney officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilmington Church of God, 100 R. Rachel A. Lucas

Age: 90
Rachel A. Lucas, 90, of Wilmington, died Tuesday (Sept. 9, 2003) at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold O. Lucas, who died in 1990.
Mrs. Lucas was born May 29, 1913, in Adams County, daughter of the late Elwood and Minnie Spurgeon Inlow. She retired after operating the Lucas Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice S. Haines of Hillsboro and Betty Lou (Delbert) Dunn of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a son, Robert M. (Chris) Lucas of Port William; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Maude Bock, Chloe Hiles and Olive Liming; and three brothers, Joe, Lee and Mack Inlow.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at LITTLETON FUNERAL HOME, 104 N. Jackson St., Sabina, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Sarah "Sally" V. Dabe

Age: 90
Sarah V. “Sally” Dabe, 90, of 360 Prairie Ave., Wilmington, died 11:45 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 9, 2003) at Autumn Years Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Dabe, who died in 1994.
Mrs. Dabe was born Sept. 14, 1912, in Clinton County, daughter of the late Overton Kelso “O.K.” and Goldie Moon Vance. She was a 40-year volunteer at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wilmington.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Noel Rose of Anderson Island, Wash.; a nephew, Don (Connie) Vance of Leesburg; three nieces, Jane (Robert) Mead of Wilmington, Karen (Tom) Deck of Canal Winchester and Judy Rose of Washington; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert E. Vance, and a sister, Nita Rose.
Services will be held 7 p.m. Friday at REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, with burial held at the convenience of the family in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Doris Conover Botts
Died: Monday, September 08, 2003
Age: 92
Doris Conover Botts, 92, of Wilmington, died Monday (Sept. 8, 2003) at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village, Monroe.
She was born Feb. 22, 1911, in Cincinnati, daughter of Clarence and Ashby Green Conover. She had been a employee of the Wilmington News Journal for over 30 years. She graduated in 1929 from Martinsville High School and was a former member of the D.A.R.
She is survived by a sister, Carmen Haas of Dayton; a niece, Deborah Anderson of Batavia, Ill.; a nephew, Tom (Wendy) Haas of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and two grandnieces, Angela Weaser and Marla Haas.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Clinton County Humane Society or a hospice of the donor’s choice.
