Beulah Gordon
ANTWERP -- Beulah M. Gordon, 86, died at 12:20 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2001 at the Laurels of DeKalb Co., Butler, IN, where she had been a patient for the past eight days.
She was born on August 31, 1914 in Defiance County, the daughter of Ira and Helen (Breininger) Kline. She graduated from Mark Center High School in 1932. Her first husband, Morris C. Gillespie, died on January 8, 1952. In 1955 she was united in marriage with Francis Gordon, who died in October 1973.
She had worked at National Ideal, Hicksville, until her retirement in 1965.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hicksville Eastern Stars, VFW Auxiliary, Jolly Elders, Rosedale Club and Fairview Grange.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Gillespie, Hicksville, and Raymond Gillespie, Antwerp; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Wandas Babcock, Hicksville, Kathryn Cooper, Sherwood, and Vera Newenschwander, Fort Wayne, IN.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Fremont Kline, Donald Kline, Berlin Kline, Otto Kline and Ira Kline Jr.
Funeral services were held in Brown Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 20. Pastor Pentti Maki officiated. Burial was in Lost Creek Cemetery.
Preferred memorials to the donor's choice.

Linda Beard
ALBION, IN -- Linda Ann Beard, 51, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at her sister's home in Fort Wayne, IN.
Born in Fort Wayne, she was a cashier at Lopez Grocery.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; a son, Chris Keesler, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Melissa Aranda and Tammy Riley, both of Fort Wayne; two stepdaughters, Rebecca and Renee Beard, both of Minnesota; her mothers, Eleanor Miller and Betty Lou Worman, both of Fort Wayne; a brother, James Worman Sr., Fort Wayne; 10 sisters, Debbie Luna, Georgann Minnick, Loretta Lopez, Gloria Worman and Vickie Malott, all of Fort Wayne, Patricia Shaw, New Port Richie, FL, Brenda Weaver and April Baker, both of Hicksville, Paula Canter, Garrett, IN, and Sara Lowerty, Huntertown, IN; and five grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 19 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Richard Hull
ASHVILLE, AL -- Richard Dee Hull, 73, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL.
He was born on July 26, 1927 in Celina, OH, the son of Clarence and Margie (Ginter) Hull. His wife, Delores Shadrack, survives.
He was a truck driver.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and Eagles Aerie.
Also surviving are a daughter, Margie Hulbert, Celina; three sons, Jeffrey, Hicksville, Jonnie, Bryan, and Richard, Ashville; a sister, Jerry Bright, Findlay; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL, is handling arrangements.

Donald Ammerman
Donald R. Ammerman, 60, 304 Wendell Avenue, died at 11 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2001 in Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born on November 10, 1940 in Richmond, IN, the son of Claude and Farah (Berger) Ammerman.
He was united in marriage with Beverly Sutton McLaughlin in 1989; she died on April 23, 1999.
Surviving are four sisters, Phyllis Shoemaker, Texas; Loretta Colvin, Indiana; Claudia Key, Tennessee; and Valaria Rist, Ohio; one half sister, Rosemary Bogue, Indiana; and two half-brothers, Dennis Ammerman and Tony Fritsch, both of Ohio.
Funeral services were held in Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18 at 2 p.m.

Donna Fritz
PLANT CITY, FL -- Word has been received of the January 4, 2001 death of former Bryan resident Donna V. Fritz, 74, in South Florida Baptist Hospital following an extended illness.
Surviving are her husband, John; three daughters, Carol Method Kibler, Cape Coral, Paulette Kay, Dublin, and Denise Mills, Bettendorf, IA; a son, Jon, Holland; two sisters, Geraldine Richardson, Farmer, and Phyllis Griffin, San Diego, CA; a brother, Wendell Heisler, Hicksville; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 20 in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgerton.

Rex Burton
SPENCERVILLE, IN -- Lieutenant Colonel Rex H. Burton, 87, a former resident of Fairfield Bay, AR, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2001 at The Laurels of DeKalb in Butler, IN.
He was born on January 12, 1914 in Burnham, PA, the son of John G. and Bessie (Cockshot) Burton. He was married to Florence E. Lutes for 49 years, and she preceded him in death. After his retirement he relocated to Fairfield Bay, where he lived until March 1993. He then moved to the Spencerville area.
He served on active duty with the US Air Force and was active in the Air Force Reserve until his retirement. In 1972 he retired from Civil Service, where he was a supply officer for 35 years. In his service he audited VA hospitals throughout the U.S. He also served as director of Carroll Memorial Hospital in Berryville, AR for four years.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was active in the VFW, Lions Club and National Association Federal Employees.
Surviving are one daughter, Martha L., Silver Springs, MD; one son, William E., Spencerville; two granddaughters, June A. Vollmer, Sherwood, and Valerie L. Perkins, Spencerville; and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wilfred A., and one nephew.
Funeral services were held in Brown Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 30. Rev. Bob Herman, Pastor of the County Line Church of God, Auburn, officiated. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO.
