Mildred D. Hughes
Mildred D. Hughes, 83, Concord Township, died Friday (Sept. 3, 1999) at her home.
She was born Sept. 10, 1915, in Sedalia, Madison County, to John and Etta (Rader) Hux. She had lived in Delaware County since 1955.
For 20 years, Mrs. Hughes worked as a cafeteria cook at Scioto Village. She was a 1934 graduate of Midway High School, Sedalia. She was a member of Bellpoint United Methodist Church, Riverside Grange and Delaware County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Harry; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara, Delaware; six sisters, Martha Leppla, Lima, Velma Bell, Washington Court House, Esther Anderson, Sunbury, Helen Miller, Sedalia, Ruth Milstead, Powell, and Norma Jean Phillips, Fort Myers, Fla.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, William Hux, Jefferson, and Donald and Norma Jean Hux, London, Ohio; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mechling; and three brothers, Leonard, Earl and Harold Hux.
Calling hours were held at Robinson Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Dirk Elliott officiating. Burial was at Oller Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bellpoint UMC, 4771 Ohio 257S, Delaware or Hospice at Grady, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware 43015.

Randall Hughes
The Rev. Randle B. Hughes Sr., 66, of Sunbury, died on Tuesday (June 25, 2002) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
He was born in Rodenfield, W.Va., on March 6, 1936, to the late Mack and Nina (Stamper) Hughes. He served in the military for 27 years, first with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1991 as a master sergeant from the 160th Air Refueling Group. He also worked in civil service as an aircraft mechanic for 22 years with the Ohio Air National Guard.
He was a member of Genoa Baptist Church, where he served as assistant pastor, a Sunday school teacher, and golf league member. A former commander, quartermaster, chaplain, and honor guard member of Sunbury VFW Post 8736, he served on the Sunbury Village Council during the 1970s, was a marshal for the Muirfield Golf Tournament for 10 years, and coached Little League baseball. He enjoyed gardening and a Saturday morning breakfast club with his son.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Gloria Anita (Norton) Hughes; his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Carol Hughes Jr. of Sunbury; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Mark Headlee of Sunbury; six beautiful granddaughters, Cortney, Laura and Emily Hughes, Ashley Kauffman, and Cora and Kaitlyn Headlee; a brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Stanley and Delores Hughes of Cope, S.C.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and William Taylor of Columbus.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held at Genoa Baptist Church with pastors Frank Carl, Wayne Booth, and Dr. David McClure officiating. Interment, with military honors, followed in Sunbury Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 81, Delaware 43015.

David Humble
David Lee Humble, 55, Gahanna, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (June 18, 2002), at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
An avid car enthusiast, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A graduate of Columbus West High School's Class of 1964, he worked for 30 years as an automotive parts manager. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and a member of Luther B. Turner Masonic Lodge No. 732.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Humble.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Linda (Haycook) Humble; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian Humble, Darren and Denise Fimple, and Christopher and Amy Fimple; two grandsons, Justin and Jordan; his mother, Anna Humble; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jimmy Johnson and Kenneth and Ann Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Warren McCormick; and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Graveside services, held in Fancher Cemetery, followed the calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus 43215.

Carolyn Hunter
Carolyn Hunter, 74, Delaware, died Friday (Jan. 14, 2000) at The Arbors of Delaware.
She was born on Aug. 19, 1925, in Alexandria, to the late Oakly and Norma (Kennedy) Smith.
A 1943 graduate of Alexandria High School, she moved to Delaware in 1964 from Johnstown.
She was a 30 year dealer for Stanley Home Products and a Stanley hostess 17 years prior to becoming a dealer. She enjoyed animals, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dwight Hunter; son David Hunter, Delaware; special friend Deloris O'Quin, Delaware; several nieces and nephews; an aunt; two cousins; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ailene Walker.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral services were held with Dr. Everett Tilson officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Memorial Park, Delaware.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Delaware County.

Joan Hunter
Joan Hunter, 72, of Marion and formerly of Sunbury, died Wednesday (November 21, 2001) at Maplewood Nursing Center, Marion.
She was born in Columbus on January 27, 1929, to the late Dale and Nannie (Sensabaugh) Ransbottom. She was a member of Condit Presbyterian Church, the Child Conservation League, a room Mother for Big Walnut Schools and a Mother for the Future Homemakers of America. She enjoyed arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hunter, on August 15, 1976; a son, Robert E. Hunter Jr.; and a brother, Frederick Ransbottom.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Estelle and John Fark of Marion and Nannette and Tom Sims of Gahanna; five grandchildren, Tracy El-Masri, Heather Ball, Jevon Fark, Aaron Von Ville and Jamie Von Ville; two great-grandchildren, Tori Ball and Nuri El-Masri; a brother, Everett Hughes of Woodlawn, Virginia; and four sisters, Alice Adams of Whitehall, Anna Vassallo of Columbus, Essie Landenberger of Grove Port, and Mary Donaldson of Jonesboro, Georgia.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, with funeral services held at Condit Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Carol Weiss officiating. Interment was in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Condit Presbyterian Church.

Rosetta Hunter
Rosetta M. Hunter, 58, Sunbury, died Tuesday morning (Nov. 28, 2000) at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born in Blue Moon, Ky., on Jan. 14, 1942 to the late Sie and Mary Ethel (Mead) Hamilton, she worked in housekeeping at the Sunbury Nursing Home for 11 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren and collecting duck figurines.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hunter, who died on June 10, 1984; three brothers, Charles, Kale and James; and three sisters, Atchie, Lizzie and Earnestine.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Bonnie Hunter Jr. of Philo; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Sue and Dean Hines of Heath, Jennifer and Anthony Firstenberger of Delaware, and Sherry and Milton Palmer, Mary Angela Hunter and Myrtie Ann Hunter, all of Sunbury; 14 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends; a brother Green (Nebraska) Hamilton of Garrett, Ky.; and her best friend Iva Shaw of Sunbury.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services were held with Elder William Staton officiating. Interment was in Sunbury Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

L. T. "Len" Hutto
L. T. "Len" Hutto, 59, Sunbury, died Friday (September 7, 2001) morning at his residence.
He was born in Neeses, South Carolina, on December 7, 1941, to the late Robert L. and Irene (Gartman) Hutto. He had resided in the Sunbury since 1977. He was owner and operator of Hutto's Electric of Columbus. He retired in 1992.
Hutto drove school bus for the Big Walnut School District from 1997 to 1999. He was United States Navy Veteran and was a member of the VFW Post No. 8736, American Legion Post No. 457 and AmVets No. 59. He enjoyed playing golf. He played at Wyandot Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wando Hutto, whom he married March 6, 1964, in Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Tara Hutto of Sunbury; two grandsons, Gregory and Robert; a brother, Robert L. "Babe" (Belinda) Hutto of Orangeburg, South Carolina; a niece, Missy Hutto; a special aunt, Curly (Joe) Hutto, North, South Carolina; and his mother-in-law, Hazel Stewart, Sunbury.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services were held with Pastor Joe Bell officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Association, was in Kingwood Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Delaware County, 561 West Central Avenue, Delaware, Ohio 43015.

James L. Hutson
James L. Hutson, 74, of Sunbury, died Sunday (June 7, 1998) at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Hutson was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice L. Dailey.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of Westerville and the Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Toni Hutson; seven children and their spouses, Drew and Mickey Hutson, Beth and Tom Warner, Bea Hutson, James Jr. and Laura Hutson, Toni and Carl Smith, Tim and Diane Hutson, and Toby and Angela Hutson; and 12 grandchildren.
A private service was held at Resurrection Cemetery. Additional arrangements were in care of Bennett-Brown Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware OH 43015.

Julius Ide
Julius Herman Ide, 87, of Galena, passed away early Sunday morning (Sept. 17, 2000) at Manor Care Health Center, Westerville.
Born in Sheboygan, Wis., on Dec. 28, 1912, to the late Gottfried and Carrie (Cortes) Ide, he moved to the Galena area from Rock Island, Ill., in 1949. A lifelong farmer, he also worked as a computer engineer for JI Case Company, Kline Manufacturing, and in the inventory department of General Electric in Columbus. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Charlotte Ruth (Young) and Gertrude P. (Wilson); a sister, Versula; and two brothers, Bill and Henry.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Janet L. and Walter Bahnsen of Port Clinton; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephan C. and Lois Ide of Lewis Center, Kurt W. and Beverly Ide and Calvin S. Ide, all of Galena; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Lois, Martin and Jane, and Paul and Clema; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Anson Hood and Elizabeth and Paul Schlotterbeck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, with the Rev. John Zimmerman officiating. Arrangements were in the care of DeVore-Synder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in his name.

Herman M. (Melno, Butch) Immel
Herman M. (Melno, Butch) Immel, 52, devoted husband and loving father, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2002, at his home in Lewis Center.
Immel was owner of Architectural Metal Works in Galena and was a member of Sheet Metal Local #24 for 23 years. He was a lover of Lake Erie where he spent time boating and fishing. Herman thought the world of his family, grandchildren and friend . . . and will be truly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tracy; son, Melvin Thomas (Dawnelle); and daughter, Kimberly Joann; his mother, Joann Immel; six grandchildren, Kelsey, Jacob, Haley, Mackenzie, Dominique and Samantha; a brother, James (Betty) Immel; four sisters, Sandra (Tim) Carr, Susan (George) Taylor, LouCinda (Claude) Smith and Melisa Derstine; as well as by many nieces, nephews, children in our hearts, Amy and Bill Zoller; and by a cousin, Butch Stilson, who was like an older brother.
Immel was preceded in death by by his father, Herman A. Immel, on November 24, 2002.
Visitation was Thursday at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, where services were held with Pastor Tim Crisafulli officiating.
Interment was in Fairview Memorial Park, Lewis Center.
