Martha Keister
Martha A. Keister, 77, of West Lebanon died on Satruday (Oct. 17, 1998) in Phoenix, Ariz., following a brief illness.
She was born Stonecreek on Jan. 8, 1921, to the late Max and Anna (Futey) Oravetz, and lived most of her life in the West Lebanon area. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Brewster. Mrs. Keister was a registered nurse and worked at the former Orrville Community Osteopathic Hospital; Doctors Hospital in Massillon; Tucson General Hospital in Tucson, Ariz.; and Wooster Community Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Zola Keister, whom she married on March 11, 1943; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Dennis Stewart and Susan and Edgar Anna, all of Chandler, Ariz., and former area residents Dorothy and Wallace Dravenstott of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Zola Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and William of West Lebanon; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Kovach of Westland, Mich.; and a brother, Andrew Oravec of Navarre.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Therese Catholic Church, Brewster, with the Rev. Robert Kaylor officiating. Burial was in Fredericksburg East Cemetery. Visitation was be held at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mt. Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paint Township Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 176, Mt. Eaton 44659.

Zola Keister Sr.
Zola O. Keister Sr., 80, of West Lebanon died Wednesday (Oct. 28, 1998) at Doctors Hospital in Massillon following an extended illness.
He was born near Fredericksburg on June 7, 1918 to the late Oscar and Dove (Thompson) Keister and had lived most of his life in West Lebanon. He was a retired farmer and owner of the former Keister Sewing Center in Massillon. He had previously worked for the former Massillon Steel Castings Company, Taylor Sewing Machines of Canton, and the Singer Sewing Machine Company. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Brewster.
On March 11, 1943 he married Martha A. Oravetz, who died on Oct. 17, 1998.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Dennis Stewart of Chandler, Ariz., former area residents Dorothy and Wallace Dravenstott of Tucson, Ariz., and Suzi and Edgar Anna of Chandler, Ariz.; two sons, Zola (Bud) Keister Jr. of Tucson, Ariz. and Bill Keister of West Lebanon; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and an infant brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Therese Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Kaylor officiating. Visitation was held at Spidell Funeral Home, Mt. Eaton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Paint Township Fire and Rescue Association, P.O. Box 176, Mt. Eaton 44659.

Jenna Leigh Keller
Jenna Leigh Keller, 5, Sunbury, died Monday evening (April 15, 2002) at Children's Hospital in Columbus following an extended illness.
She was born in Westerville on January 8, 1997, to Randy and Jody (Lane) Keller of Sunbury.
In addition to her parents, Jenna Leigh is survived by her grandparents, Ellis and Sally Lane of Sunbury and Dan and Brenda Keller of Sparta, and by her great-grandparents, Joan and Wayne Miller of Galion.
Visitation hours and funeral service was at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, with Pastor Bob Riggs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 16810, Columbus, OH 43272-5117.

Patricia Kelley
Patricia L. (Taylor) Kelley, 63, of Westerville, died Sunday (August 20, 2000) at St. Ann's Hospital.
She attended Central High School and worked for many years at Schottensteins North. She was a member of the Square Wheels and Friendly Ties Square Dance Clubs.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William J. Kelley; daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Todd Dronsfield; former daughter-in-law and spouse Debra and Mel Tominlson; former son-in-law Brent Morris Sr.; seven grandchildren; and brother Harold E. Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her son Louis A. Kelley and parents Harold and Katherine Taylor.
Calling hours were at the Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville. A funeral mass was held with arrangements announced at a later time.

Donn M. Kesler
Donn M. Kesler, 74, Sunbury, died Monday afternoon (Oct. 23, 2000) of congestive heart failure at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville. Reunited with his late loving wife JoAnn of 49 years.
Kesler was a World War II Navy veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Lake Champlain. A former Boy Scout leader, Troop 578 of Sunbury, he was an avid model railroader. Kesler was the retired co-owner of The Outdoor Store.
Kesler is survived by a son Steven, sports editor of The Sunbury News; daughter Cindy of Sunbury, daughter Judith (Jeff) Graumlich of Columbus; sisters and brothers-in-law Bonnie and Charles Walters of Columbus and Sue and Verlin Meier of Celina; nephews Tim Walters of Chicago and Craig (Beth) Meier of Findlay; nieces Amy (John) Schnorberger of Toledo and Cathy (Steve) Ohm of Columbus; and many community friends.
Kesler was preceded in death by father Kirby, mother Adalaide and grandmother Nellie Stevens
Visitation was held at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville. Graveside services and interment with military honors were at Sunbury Memorial Park. Pastor Les Newell officiated.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, Delaware Chapter.
Arrangements were by Graumlich and Son, Inc. Funeral Service, 1351 S. High Street, Columbus.

David E. Kettlewell
David E. Kettlewell, 78, Sunbury, died Tuesday morning (April 10, 2001) at his residence.
He was born in Glen Dale, W.Va., to the late John H. and Olga (Daggett) Kettlewell. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1950 with a degree in chemistry, and was employed by American Electric Power and subsidiary companies Ohio Power and Appalachian Power for 37 years before retiring as manager of chemical engineering in 1988.
A World War II Army veteran with the 102nd Infantry Division, Mr. Kettlewell was a member of the Edison Electric Institute, American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Society of Testing Materials, Ohio No. 1 Masonic Lodge of Wheeling, and Condit Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn J. (Ake) Kettlewell; a son, David Kettlewell of Moundsville, West Virginia; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Richard Border of Glen Dale, West Virginia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Olga E. and Paul Selan of Hurricane, West Virginia, Alice B. Gooldin of Paden City, West Virginia, Jacqueline and Dan Logan of Columbus, Neltie L. and Jack Lander of George, Utah, and Joan and Gene Gray of Glen Dale, West Virginia.
Memorial services will be held at at Condit Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Carol Weiss officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 253 E. Church Street, Marion 43302 or Hospice of Delaware County, 561 West Central Avenue, Delaware 43015.

Paul E. Keyser
Paul E. "Sonny" Keyser, 65, Sanford, N.C., formerly of Westerville, died Tuesday (June 8, 1999).
A member of the Carolina Trace Community Club, he was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Muriel; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ted and Amy Keyser, Dallas, and Patrick Keyser, Cincinnati; a sister, Carol (Moody) Moodespaugh, Sunbury; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Jane Keyser, Atlanta, Ga.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sally Keyser.
A memorial service was held at Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville, with the Rev. Ruth Ann Noble officiating. Visitation was held following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to James Cancer Hospital, 300 W. 10th Ave., Columbus 43210 or a hospice of the donor's choice.

Alvin C. Kiefer
Alvin C. Kiefer, 94, formerly of Columbus, died Tuesday morning (March 3, 1998) at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home in Centerburg.
He was born in Genoa Township on Feb. 22, 1904, to the late Isaac R. and Carrie A. (Shonting) Kiefer. He was a supervisor with Columbus Auto Parts until he retired in 1966 after 36 years of service. He was a member of Berlin Presbyterian Church, Linden Lodge No. 637 F&AM, Royal Arch Mason Linden Chapter No. 236, 2nd Degree Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, the American Trap Shooting Association, National Rifle Association, Big Walnut Conservation Club, Amateur Trap Shooting Association of Vandalia, and the Ohio State Trap Shooting Association in Columbus. Mr. Kiefer was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his youth, he worked as a farmhand for various farmers in and around Genoa Township.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Diana Kiefer of Sunbury; daughter and son-in-law Jane and Cecil Goodrich of Worthington; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bernice J. Kiefer on Oct. 7, 1997; his brother Earl; and sister Alma Anderson.
Private memorial services were at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, at Ohio routes 3 and 61 in Sunbury, with the Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial was in Cheshire Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dorothea C. Loar King
Dorothea C. Loar King, 97, formerly of Sunbury, died June 29, 2000, at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
She was born March 29, 1903, in Columbus to the late Daniel and Mame (Duke) Capell. A homemaker, she lived in Newark, N.J., for 26 years returning to Delaware in 1994. She was a member of Condit Presbyterian Church, the Friendly Club, and was past-president of the Rainbow Auxiliary.
Mrs. King is survived by her loving nephew, Don Capell of Columbus; niece and nephew Martha and Ralph Dickson; nephew Robert (Sarah) Loar; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry J. Loar May 31, 1966; her second husband, Nelson B. "John" King, June 16, 1980; two brothers, Nelson and Guy Capell; and sisters Inez Mowery and Bessie Clendenon.
Funeral services were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury with Pastor J. Floyd Bowsher presiding. Internment was at Sunbury Memorial Park.

Nancy King
Nancy L. King, 62, Sunbury, died unexpectedly Friday (August 20, 1999) at Mount Carmel Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1936, in Sunbury to the late Fred and Dessie (Gallogly) Sharp.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and a mail clerk for Cigna Healthcare. She attended Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church, Marengo and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kristy King, Marengo; two daughters, Kathy Smith, Richmond, Va., and Karla King, Sunbury; three sisters, Alma Jean Howard, Galena, Vernice Sparks, Sunbury, and Viola Carpenter, Westerville; five grandchildren; and a special niece.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, James C. King, who died in 1996, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Bob and Don Sharp; and a sister, Charlene Pruett.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Funeral services were held with William G. Staton, elder, officiating. Interment followed at Sunbury Memorial Park.
