Jeffrey Meyer
Jeffrey Lee Meyer, 42, Delaware, died unexpectedly Tuesday (October 12, 1999) at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born April 26, 1957, in Delaware to John S. and Aldyth (Barber) Meyer, who survive in Delaware. Jeffrey was a 1975 graduate of Delaware Hayes High School and attended ATI, Wooster. He was formerly employed at Ranco Inc. in Plain City and was co-owner of the Backstretch Bar in downtown Delaware. He was confirmed a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and Demolay Chapter of Hiram Lodge. He enjoyed playing bass guitar with local groups and was a member of numerous area golf leagues.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne (DeRosa) Meyer; son, Kyle Adam Meyer at home; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Judy Clancy, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Cindy and Richard Schlichting, Tucson, Ariz.; six nieces and two nephews; and many friends.
Calling hours were at Devore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles Woodward officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifeline of Ohio, 770 Kinnear Road, Suite 200, Columbus 43212.

Ernest Milburn
Ernest Milburn, 72, Galena, died at his home Sunday (April 30, 2000).
He was born in Floyd County, Ky., Sept. 8, 1927.
Mr. Milburn was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A brick layer by trade, he had worked for Galena Brick Co. and United Sheet Metal, Westerville. He enjoyed painting and yardwork.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Plumer (Keathley) Milburn, whom he married May 30, 1949; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley A. and Don McKenzie, Marengo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Ray and Karen Milburn, Marysville, and Gary Dean and Jannie Milburn, Sunbury; five brothers, Arnold Cooper, Marengo, Frank and Kelly Cooper, Sunbury, Roy Cooper, Utica, and Truman Cooper, Galveston, Ky.; two sisters, Lucy Artrip, Drift, Ky., and Bertha Conley, Delaware; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Artie Moore Cooper; stepfather, Henry Cooper; and two brothers, Oscar Milburn and Jessie Cooper.
Calling hours were at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Private services were held for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Delaware County, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware 43015; or the American Cancer Society, 253 E. Church St., Marion 43302.

Della A. Miller
Della A. Miller, 105, of Galena died on Thursday (Jan. 8, 1998) at The Arbors at Delaware.
Born Feb. 12, 1892, on Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Poling and Minnie (Stahr) Poling. She was a homemaker, and member of the Maple Grove United Brethren Church, the Farm Bureau, and Jolley Community Group of Basil.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Miller in 1976; a daughter, Marvine; two sisters, Lily Seevers and Wilma Ackerman; four brothers, Clint, Clyde, Carl, and Clarence Poling.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Estel and Violet Miller of Florida; a sister-in-law, Maude Poling of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Richard P. Miller of Baltimore, Ohio, Debbie Parson of Columbus, and Sandra Strine of Caledonia; nine great-grandchildren, Carie Gitlin, Julia and Janet Miller, Autumn, Trevor and JoDel Sacksteder, and Mark, Matt, and Michela Strine; one great-great-grandchild, Chase Gitlin; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held prior to the funeral services at Sheridan Funeral Home in Baltimore, Ohio. The Rev. Earladean Heffner officiated, and interment was in the Basil Memorial Cemetery.

Edith Miller
Graveside services for Edith B. Miller, 89, of Marengo, formerly of Johnstown, were held on Monday (Oct. 12, 1998) in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, with the Rev. Craig Mulpas officiating. She died on Thursday (Oct. 8, 1998) at Woodside Village Care Center, Mount Gilead.
Mrs. Miller was a retired practical nurse from Columbus and a member of the Marengo Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Miller; three daughters; one son; four sisters; two brothers; and her parents, James W. and Beulah (Hendon) Bailey.
Surviving are one daughter, Joy Lloyd of Columbus; one son-in-law, Charles Stiffler of Cardington; one daughter-in-law, Mary Clouse of Tennessee; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Carey Glaze of Croton.
Visitation was held at Crouse-Kauber Funeral Home, Johnstown. A memorial service was held at Marengo Church of Christ with Rev. Mulpas officiating.

Eleanor Miller
Eleanor K. Miller, 87, Sunbury, died Tuesday afternoon (March 12, 2002) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
She was born on December 17, 1914, in Delaware to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Knowlton) Kinnell, and returned to Sunbury in 1976 from Houston, Texas, where she worked as a social worker for the State of Texas helping with programs for the disadvantaged. She, along with her husband, had also operated a camera and stationary store. She was a member of the Riverside Country Club, Houston, and enjoyed playing bridge.
Surviving are her son, James Richard Miller of Dayton, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Earl Bell of Sunbury; and her nieces and nephews, including a special nephew and spouse, Dennis and Grace Bell of Sunbury.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Richard" Miller in 1979; three sisters, Rachel Sanders, Alice Jones and Sarah Kinnell; and a brother, William Kinnell.
Visitation will be held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where funeral services followed with Pastor Michael Bratten officiating. Interment was in Sunbury Memorial Park.

Emma J. Miller
Emma J. Miller, 77, Galena, died Thursday (September 5, 2002) at her residence.
She was born in Columbus on August 24, 1925 to the late Arnold and Emma M. (Coile) Meadors. She was a 50-plus year member of Grace Baptist Church, 37 years with the Friday Nite Mixed Bowling League and a 10-year Volunteer with St. Ann's Hospital.
Miller is survived by sons John "Steve" (Margie) Miller of Galena and Robert J. (Kimberly) Miller of Galena; daughters Marcia J. Hunter of Cocoa, Florida and Janet L. (Jim) Mark of Galena; grandchildren Stacy, Jeremy, Autumn, Mark and Jonathan; and by three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Miller, on November 11, 1986. They were married 42 years. A brother, Ralph Meadors, and a sister, Delores Fuller, also preceded her in death.
Visitation was at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services were held with Pastor Les Newell officiating.
Interment followed in Sunbury Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Volunteer Office at St. Ann's Hospital.

Jim Miller
Elwin "Jim" D. Miller Jr., 73, Galena, died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) at his residence.
He was retired from AT&T (W.E.), a member of Linden Lutheran Church, telephone Pioneers of America and the 50/50 Club of Harlem Township. He enjoyed his second home on Middle Bass Island.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Nancy Miller,, Johnstown; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbi and Paul Womack, Columbus; a brother, Bill Miller, Mount Gilead; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Calling hours were at Schoedinger North Chapel, Columbus. Funeral services were held with the Rev. Reuben Mellum officiating. Interment was at Mifflin Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Linden Lutheran Church or James Cancer Research Hospital in Mr. Miller's memory.

Robert Miller
Robert Miller, 87 of Sunbury, died at Masonic Home in Springfield, Ohio on Oct. 5.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Miller.
He was a member of Sparrow Lodge Number 400 and First Baptist Church.
Graveside service was held in Sunbury.

Robert Miller (Columbus)
Robert E. Miller, 51, Columbus, passed away unexpectedly on Monday (December 3, 2001) at his residence.
He was born on January 13, 1950, in Columbus. A veteran of the United States Army, he was a lifelong resident of the Columbus and Sunbury areas. He was employed for 15 years by USA Plumbing, Columbus and enjoyed working and fishing.
Surviving are his father, Ernest C. Miller of Galena; a daughter and son-in-law, Tiffani and Todd Livengood of Pataskala; two grandchildren; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Paul Evans of Orient, Patty and Tom Weldon of Florida, Sissie and Jerry Young of Sunbury, and Judy and Fred Adkins of Oakhill; two uncles, Don Miller of Galena and Gwyn Miller of Oklahoma; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary K. Miller; a brother, Charles Miller; and a sister, Jean Case.
Visitation was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services followed with Pastor Paul Michael Cook officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1550 Old Henderson Road, Suite W-101, Columbus 43220.

Virginia Miller
Virginia E. Miller, 74, Sunbury, died Friday (April 16, 1999) at the Sunbury Nursing Home after a two-year illness.
She was born in Roanoke, Va., on July 16, 1924, to the late James and Edna May (McGinnis) Collins.
She was a homemaker and member of Sunbury Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Miller on Sept. 30, 1992, and a brother, Roscoe Collins.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Carl L. and Terry Carpenter, Columbus; two grandsons, Josh and Thomas; special friend Wanda Hutto, Sunbury; her friends at Rainbow Apartments; and the staff and friends at Sunbury Nursing Home.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Graveside services were at Northlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan Burris officiating.
