LuAnn "Debbie" Pysher
LuAnn "Debbie" Pysher (Pettit), 46, Columbus, died unexpectedly Tuesday (Sept. 28, 1999) at her home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1953, in Columbus to Dolores (Kiley) Marlow of Sunbury and Eugene Marlow of Columbus.
She was a graduate of Big Walnut High School, Class of 1971 and a National Honor Society member. She was assistant manager for Volunteers of America, West Broad Street store, and a teacher for Creative Child Care. She enjoyed bowling and her children's school activities.
A devoted mother, she is survived by daughters Stacie, Shawna and Marissa Pysher and son Kyle Pysher; one sister, Diana Rankin, Lancaster; one brother, Steve Marlow, Sunbury; and soulmate Ed Pysher, Lexington, S.C.
Calling hours and funeral services were held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Interment was at Sunbury Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the LuAnn D. Pysher Pettit Memorial Fund, c/o VOA, 379 W. Broad St., Columbus 43215.

DeVera Quinn
DeVera M. Quinn, 81, Columbus, died unexpectedly Friday (October 25, 2002) of a broken heart from the recent death of her husband of 64 years, George J. Quinn. They were married on July 6, 1938 at St. Mary Church in Delaware.
She was born on March 8, 1921 in Sunbury to the late Cecil F. and Mable B. (Ross) Bricker. DeVera was an executive homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She moved from Sunbury to Columbus in 1940 and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus.
DeVera will be sadly missed by her children, George W. "Bill" (Dolly) of Columbus, Robert T. (Jackie) of Fredericktown, Beverly K. (Chuck) Cornwell of Columbus, Donald J. (Jan) of Centerburg, Brenda (Rick) Elfrink of Hilliard, James E. (Robin) Quinn of Lewis Center; by 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Ruth Shrigley of Winterpark, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Esther Chattos, on August 23, 2002.
Visitation and Rosary Service was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus, with Father Mark Ghiloni celebrating.
Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center.

George J. Quinn
George J. Quinn, 83, Columbus, died Tuesday (October 9, 2002) at St. Ann's Hospital.
He won born on February 19, 1919 in Ashville, Ohio, to the late John and Louise (Carle) Quinn. A U.S. Navy World War II veteran, Quinn was employed 33 years at David Davies and retired from the Ohio Packing Company in 1986.
Quinn was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Council #3727, 4th Degree.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, DeVera; children George W. "Bill" (Dolly) Quinn of Columbus, Robert T. (Jackie) Quinn of Fredericktown, Beverly K. (Chuck) Cornwell of Columbus, Donald J. (Jan) Quinn of Centerburg, Brenda (Rick) Elfrink of Hilliard, and James E. (Robin) Quinn of Lewis Center; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Anna Smith of Columbus and Louise (Virgil) Leach of Winter Haven, Florida.
Quinn was preceded in death by five brothers, William, Raymond, Carl, Bernard and Ralph and by four sisters, Irene Quinn, Cecilia Whitt, Alice Tuvell and Mary Laymon.
Calling hours followed by a Rosary Service were held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus with Father Mark Ghiloni as Celebrant.
Interment followed at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center.

Ricky Ramey
Ricky G. Ramey, 18, of Delaware, died Monday (March 2, 1998) at Ohio State University Hospitals, Columbus, from injuries suffered in an automobile-train collision Jan. 11, 1998, in Union County.
He was born April 8, 1979, in Delaware to Rick L. and Brenda L. (Davis) Ramey. He was a lifelong Delaware resident and a member of the Delaware Hayes High School class of 1998. He was a member of the school's baseball team his freshman year.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Delaware. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and working on his own car, a 1988 Pontiac Bonneville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived also by two brothers, Joshua and Jeremy Ramey of Delaware; maternal grandparents Harry and Janet Davis of Delaware; paternal grandparents Elzie and Bobbie Ramey of Ashley; uncles and aunts Wendell and Barbara Ramey and Wanda and Bruce Strawser of Delaware, Larry and Shirley Ramey of Sparta, Dale Davis of Columbus, and several cousins.
Funeral service was held at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware with the Rev. Jody Lynn B. Hagans officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.
Memorial contributions may be made to the OSU Unverferth House, Office of Medical Center Development, 1375 Perry St., 5th Floor, Columbus, OH 43201, which is where his family stayed during his illness.

Earl Clayton Ratliff
Earl Clayton Ratliff, 69, of Sunbury, died Friday (Aug. 7, 1998) at St. Ann's Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Topeka, Kan., in 1929 to the late Maudie and Clark Ratliff, he was a retired block mason.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Roberta, and a sister, Kathleen Rice.
Surviving are a brother, Harold Ratliff of Westerville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Harold Bosart of Mt. Vernon, Alice Sartin of Sunbury, and Frances and Preston Fettrow of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home in Centerburg, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Gerald Davis officiating. Interment was in Eastview Cemetery.

Everett J. Rawlins Jr.
Everett J. Rawlins Jr., 55, of Waldo passed away Saturday, May 2 unexpectedly while at work. He was born January 12, 1943 in Delaware, Ohio to Everett and Ellen Margaret Bennett Rawlins. A life long area resident, he was a press operator for Whirlpool and a member of the Fulton church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife Pamela; son James Smith of Columbus; brothers and sisters-in-law James D. and Rita of Prospect, Ohio, Rickie and Christine and Robert and Mary all of Ashley, Ohio; his parents, Everett and Margaret of Waldo; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held at Bennett-Brown Funeral Home, Ashley.

Robin L. Raynard
Robin L. Raynard, 32, Centerburg, died Thursday (February 23, 2001) afternoon at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville.
She was born in Columbus on February 15, 1969 to Robert and Joyce (Daniels) Raynard of Centerburg and had lived in Centerburg for the past 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Robert L. Jr. and Rick L. of Centerburg; a sister, Rhonda L. (Scott) Lanham of Centerburg; grandparents Vergie Raynard of Columbus and Louise Daniels of Gallipolis; and by nieces and nephews Mitchell and Kyle Raynard and Taylyn Lanham.
Visitation was at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where the services followed with Pastor Marvin Gassman officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Fannie Reams
Fannie Reams, 88, of Marengo, died Tuesday (May 19, 1998) at her residence.
She was born in Garrett, Ky., on December 22, 1907 to the late Dan and Julie (Gearhart) Hunter. She was a member of the Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church in Marengo, and the Mount Sterling Old Regular Baptist Church in Kentucky.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Earlie and Carols Higgins of Marengo; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Wicker, on March 31, 1940, and Walter Reams in 1985; sone Worley Wicker on December 6, 1985; brothers Lewis, Chester, Simon, and Willy; and sisters Ann Wicker, Pearlie Conley, and Inis Martin.
Services were Thursday, May 21 at the Mount Sterling Old Regular Baptist Church, followed by interment in Johnny Martin Cemetery. Local arrangements were in care of DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Delaware County, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware, OH, 43015.

Robert C. Reed
Robert C. Reed, 63, who served two terms as Mayor of the Village of Sunbury, died Wednesday, April 4. Reed also served as a member of Village Council.
He was born November 28, 1937 in Bluffton, Indiana to Frances (Brock) Reed and Edward Reed.
Reed is survived by his wife, Martha; two daughters, Renee Dobson of Delaware and Michelle Johnston of Columbus; and three grandchildren, Adam Polt, Nickolas Johnston and Alle Reed.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Nelson and Linda Balis; four brothers, Robert Reed, Douglas Catron, Richard Reed and Clyde Catron; and by several nieces and nephews.
Reed was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Catron, and by three brothers, Leroy Reed, William Reed and Donald Nolan.
The family extended special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
Visitation was held at the Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville where services were held with Pastor Larry Griffin officiating. Private interment followed the services.
In Reed's memory, the family asks that contribitions be made to St. Ann's Cancer Center, 500 Cleveland Avenue, Westerville, Ohio 43081.

Rheta Reese
Rheta C. Reese, 77, Sunbury, died Friday (Jan. 1, 1999) at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville.
She was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Mount Gilead to the late William R. and Leona M. (Wilson) Corwin. She was a member of Sunbury United Methodist Church, Ruth Circle and Progress Club, and was past president of WSCS, now WMW. She was presiding judge for the Board of Elections, Sunbury Precinct and was a member of Columbia Chapter No. 33 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Charles H. Reese, whom she married on Dec. 25, 1941, in Mount Gilead; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jo Ellen and Paul Elfrink, Sunbury, Rev. Judi L. Taylor, Hotchkiss, Colo., and Janet and Jerrell Barnhill, Wauseon; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, James C. on April 1, 1984; and twin brothers Fred Corwin on Oct. 21, 1998, and Robert Corwin on March 17, 1989.
Visitation was at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury. Services were held at Sunbury United Methodist Church with the Revs. David and Suzanne Hill officiating. Burial followed in Sunbury Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sunbury UMC or Sunbury Community Library.
