Corden P. Liberatore, age 81, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, August 1, 2002, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH. Corden is survived by his wife, Eilein Wise Liberatore, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage on June 30, 2002; daughters, Maureen (Stephen E. Jr.) Van Buren of Webster, NY, and Mary Jane (Dennis) Wolf of Canton; sons, Richard (Samantha) Liberatore of Las Vegas, NV, David (Susan) Liberatore and Fred Liberatore, both of New Philadelphia; brothers, Tony (Louise) Liberatore of High Point, NC, John (Phyllis) Liberatore of New Philadelphia and Dominic (Bernita) Liberatore of LaPorte, IN; sisters, Jennie Sewell of Dover and Regina Sligar of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Tom and Suzie Van Buren, Richard, Sara, Teri, Jill and John Liberatore, Traci and Todd Liberatore and Peter, Connor, Brigid and Joshua Wolf; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia, with Father William Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Visitation will be Sunday, August 4, 2002, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School or the Booster Club, 777-3rd St. NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Dorothy J. Wileman
Dorothy Dottie J. Wileman. Memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 2, 2002 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of North Canton with Larry Shaw officiating. Visitation one hour prior to services. Donations may be made in her name to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Assoc. and Hospice, 885 South Sawburg Rd., Suite 106, Alliance, OH 44601.

Dr. Stephen F. Gaier
Dr. Stephen F. Gaier, 43, of Canton died at his residence on Wednesday July 31, 2002. Born March 7, 1959 in Springfield, he was a son of David f. and Helen (Armtrout) Gaier. He owned and operated the Wales Ave. Pediatrics Office in Massillon since 2001. A 1977 London High School graduate, Steve was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of London, 1981 graduate of Wittenburg University where he was president of Lambda Chi Fraternity and a 1987 graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathies Medicine. Survivors include his parents of London; sisters, Karen Brown of West Jefferson, Donna Gaier of Oxnard, CA., and Debbie Gaier of Ventura, CA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the EBERLE FUNERAL HOME, 103 N. Main St, London, OH., with Reverend Virgil Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Twp Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the ATKINSON-FEUCHT-SHAIDNAGLE FUNERAL HOME, Massillon from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the EBERLE FUNERAL HOME, London. If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the Make-A-wish foundation, 1422 Euclid Ave., Suite 239, Cleveland , OH 44115-1901.

Elizabeth A. Millard
Elizabeth A. Millard, age 83, of Canton, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Troy, OH., a daughter of the late Ben and Anna Ross Gibbs, and had been a Canton resident all her life. She attended both Kent State University and Ohio State University. Mrs. Millard retired in 1980 from Plain Local Schools, after 24 years service, where she taught at Plain Center and Pleasant View Elementary Schools. She previously taught for Canton City Schools at Cedar and Baxter Elementary Schools. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton; Nazir Caldron; Canton Woman's Club; Alpha Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority; and N. Canton YMCA Seniors A.A.R.P. Chapter #1400. She enjoyed golfing at Edgewood and Bob-O-Link Golf Clubs. Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert H. Millard, Sr., on October 13, 1992. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Archie Stone, of Madison, CT; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert H. and Cynthia Millard, Jr. of Newport News, VA., William and Beverly Millard, of Gainesville, FL., and Donald Millard and Julie Lewis, of Basalt, CO; one brother, William Gibbs, of Canton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger and Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Roy V. Wagner officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Millard's memory may be to either Nazir Caldron, Canton Woman's club, or Zion United Church of Christ.

Joanne E. Dodge
Joanne E. Dodge, age 72, of North Canton, passed away Thursday morning at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. A memorial service is pending. Joanne's services are entrusted to the Heritage Cremation Society.

Keith A. Eyrich
Keith A. Eyrich, age 57, of Jerusalem, OH, passed away Monday, 29th, 2002 in San Diego, CA. Born November 17, 1944, in Salem, OH, to Lester J. Eyrich and Viola A. (Bauman) Eyrich. He was employed at Nutritional Health Care as a self employed salesman and he was a member of the Woodsfield Moose Lodge #2247. Survivors include his wife, Clarece M. (Hill) whom he married Nov. 29, 1986; daughters, Shelle Houser of Canal Fulton, Nancy Waters of Canton; son, Shane of Eyrich of Canton; mother, Viola A. (Bauman) Eyrich of Beloit; brother, Lee Eyrich of Beloit; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Morris officiating. Internment in Bunker Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday two hours prior to the service (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

Larry A. Kendrick
Larry A. Kendrick, age 51, of Canton, passed away Thursday morning August 1, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center after an 18 month courageous battle with a brain tumor. He was born in Williamson, WV on February 18, 1951 and was a 1970 Canton South High School Graduate. Larry was a floor installer for the Surface Skill Floors Corp. of Cincinnati. On a nice day you could find Larry on the golf course. He also enjoyed painting, and playing the guitar and banjo. Preceded in death by his father, Arvin Kendrick and a nephew, Richard Kendrick. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 28 years, Vicki; mother Trula Kendrick of Massillon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette and Mickey Maynard of Galipolis, OH, Loretta and Raymond Stanley of Massillon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Gaye of KY, Terry and Linda of Canton, Ronnie and Loretta of Canton, Henry Marsha of Troy, OH, Gene of Massillon, Clint and Shelly of Massillon, Mickey and Marlene of KY, and twin brother Gary and Loretta of Canton; mother-in-law, Regina Bowen of Massillon; sisters-in-law, Gina and Cleve Grnach of Canton, Elizabeth and Ken Snyder of Uniontown; brother-in-law, Michael and Diane Bowen of Massillon; and 35 nieces and nephews, 45 great and six great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 1:00 PM in the Perry Christian Church, 139 Perry Dr., NW, with Pastor Robert Bender officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services in the church Saturday 12-1:00 PM. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Richville Fire Community Assoc., 6425 Bosford SW, Navarre, OH 44662.

Bernice W. Vance
Bernice W. Vance, Momma, Mamaw, Granny, age 82, of Canton, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, in her home from a brief battle with cancer. She was born April 28, 1920, in Avery County, NC, to the late Samuel and Maude (Snyder) Watson and was a Canton resident for over 40 years. She was of Baptist faith and had attended the Canton Baptist Temple. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Vance in 1986 and two brothers, Carroll and T.J. Watson. Survived by two daughters, Ceccy (Jim) Mossgrove and Connie Varian (Sam Eddy) of East Canton; three sons, Sam (Janet) Vance and Dean Vance of Canton and Jim (Mary) Vance of Carrollton; six grandchildren, Scott (Elisa) Mossgrove, Dean (Kelli) Mossgrove, Tami (John) Campbell, Tonia (Dave) Stephenson, Sam Vance and Mandi Varian; six great-granchildren, Dane and Rachael Mossgrove, John and Josh Campbell and Brianna and Hanna Mossgrove; four sisters, Clarice Wiseman, Faye Hughes, Boot Young and Tootsie Vaughn; two brothers, June Watson and Ralph Watson; numerous special nieces and nephews, all of North Carolina; close friends, Paul and Betty Bradshaw; and several friends and neighbors who shared her love, hospitality and open home that will be missed and remembered by everyone's life she touched. Private family graveside services, conducted by Rev. Delaney Young, were held on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Sunset Hills Memory Garden. The family wishes to extend our most sincere gratitude and requests donations to be made to Mercy Medical Center Hospice Program for their wonderful care and in enabling her to be at home surrounded by her loving family. The Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Carmela R. Palumbo
Carmela R. (Papi) Palumbo. Friends may call on Thursday (tonight) from 6 to 9 p.m. in the ROSSI FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, Canton, with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Mancini as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carm's name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 925 S. Main St., North Canton, OH 44720.

Ceridwen G. Kelly
Ceridwen G. Kelly, who passed away on July 13, 2002, will have a Memorial service on Saturday at 11 a.m., Aug. 3, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 3955 Wales Ave. NW, Massillon, with Rev. Thomas Fryman officiating. Ceridwen is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and John Prazniak and a son, Thomas C. Kelly Jr. The Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon handled the arrangements.

Delmar J. Rink
Delmar J. Rink. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. David Cobb officiating. Friends may call Thursday(tonight) 6-8 p.m.

Dorothy J. Wileman
Dorothy Dottie J. Wileman, age 64, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002. She was born December 14, 1937, in Lake O'Springs, OH, the daughter of Jack A. and Dorothy F. (Dine) Williams. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved craft projects. Preceded in death by father, Jack A. Williams. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Wileman; her mother, Dorothy F. Williams of North Canton; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn (David) Dodge of North Canton, Kathleen Sue Wileman of Green, OH; twin brother, Robert J. (Karen) Williams of Warren, OH; sister, Catherine (Claude) Murphy of Springfield, OH, Jacqueline (Jack) Hoffman of North Canton, Kay Taggart of North Canton; two grandchildren,, Keith and Kathleen Dodge; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 2, 2002 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of North Canton with Larry Shaw officiating. Visitation one hour prior to services. Janet Moreland
Janet (Both) Moreland, of Tempe, Arizona, formerly of Canton, Ohio, quietly left this earth Sunday evening, July 28, 2002, in Arizona after an extended illness. A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 31st., at Green Acres Funeral Home, 401 N. Hayden in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mrs. Moreland is survived by her husband, Charles Chuck Moreland, also formerly from Canton; a daughter, Karen Moreland of Tempe, Arizona; son, Keith Moreland of Tempe; and a sister, Margaret Rodd of Canton, OH.

Jerry Daniel Lofland
Jerry Daniel Lofland, age 21 of Louisville, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Monday, July 29, 2002. Born March 7, 1981 in Canton, Jerry enjoyed playing drums and spending time with his five adoring nieces ad nephews, friends and family. Jerry is survived in memory by his parents, Peggy and Jon Lindstrom of Louisville and Jerry and Sharon Lofland of North Carolina; sisters, Kris (Jeremiah) Banta of Louisville, Heidi (Patrick) Keefer of Salem, and Jenni (Johnny) Meyers of Canton; brothers, Zach (Tiff) Lofland of Canton and Andy (Roseanne) Lofland of Louisville; nieces, Paxton and Michaela Banta and Kortney Keefer; nephews Bailey Mitchell Lofland and Logan Banta; grandparents, Rosalia Buck of Alliance and Agnes and Lester Lofland of Louisville, and numerous extended family members and friends. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jerry Lofland Memorial Fund at the Louisville branch of Charter One Bank.

Margaret E. Meg Reid. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7707 Market Ave., North in North Canton with Pastor James Meinke officiating.

Margaret M. Pfalzgraf. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Friends may call Thursday (tonight) 6-8 p.m. and Friday 9-10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home.

Ruth V. Nihart
Ruth V. Nihart, age 76, of Minerva died 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2002 in Aultman Hospital extended illness. She was born May 26, 1926 in Minerva, OH to Hearschel and Mildred (Hewitt) Spore. She worked for ECKO Housewares in Canton for several years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Nihart who died in 1974, a son, Timothy Nihart. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Ada) Davis of Minerva and Mrs. Daniel (Judith) Goodell of Tallmadge; a brother, Lauren Spore of Canton and seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Ertl officiating in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeffrey G. Gowins
Jeffrey G. Gowins, age 24, of North Canton, was taken suddenly and will be greatly missed by all. May our farewell express our affection, ease our sadness, and strengthen our hope. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vera Lee Ramold. He is leaving behind his mother, Chris Gowins of North Canton; his beloved sisters, Carissa Wilson, her husband and daughter, Shawn and Kaitlyn, of Jackson Twp., and Ashley Gowins of North Canton; his grandfather, Jerry Ramold of Jackson Twp.; his great-grandmothers, Maxine Hitzekam and Edith Ramold, both of Nebraska City, NE; aunts and uncles; his long time companion, Lindsey Trent; and many friends whose lives he touched. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held today, Thursday, Aug. 1 at 12:00 noon at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 241 S. Main St., N. Canton with Fr. Joseph Rudjak officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM until noon, in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 3930 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718. Arrangements are being handled by Heitger Funeral Service - Jackson Chapel.
