Andrew Andrica Stoia. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W., with Rev. Joseph Rudjak of St. Paul Catholic Church of North Canton officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service (10-11:00 a.m.). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ann H. (Pezel) Presutti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Mancini as Celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday (TONIGHT) 6-9 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations would greatly be appreciated to the family.

Antonio D. Riehl
Antonio D. Riehl, infant son of Felicia Poling and Brent Riehl of Canton, passed away Saturday in the Mercy Medical Center. Besides his parents, Felicia and Brent, he is survived by a sister, Natasha Nicole Riehl of Canton; grandparents, Linda Cottrill of Canton, Juanita and Dave Moen of Massillon, and Paul Cottrill of West Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Waitman McCartney officiating. Calling hours at the funeral home one hour before services on Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Beverly Ann Walker
Beverly Ann Walker, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2002, following an extended illness. She was a patient at The Arbors at Canton Nursing Home. Beverly was the daughter of Howard and Kathaleen (Tharp) Boxdale. She was born in Canton, OH., on February 26, 1938. Both parents preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of Apostolic Faith Assembly Church. Beverly leaves to cherish her memory four sons: Michael Ray Boxdale, Ellis Broadman, Jr., Raymond Broadman, and Marcus Walker; a special first-cousin, Mrs. Gloria Willis of Canton, OH; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other cousins, relatives and her church family. Services will be at Apostolic Faith Assembly Church, 1823 - 7th St. N.E., Canton, on Thursday, April 18, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. Calling hours one hour before funeral at the church. Dr. Kermit J. Greene, Pastor, officiating. Interment in Northlawn Cemetery.

Charles Joseph Koch
Charles Joseph Koch, chairman emeritus of Charter One Financial, Inc., under whose leadership the company became Ohio's largest savings and loan, died Sunday. He was 82 years old. A highly successful aeronautical and space engineer and holder of several design patents, Mr. Koch was persuaded in 1968 by his father, Charles Frank Koch, to become president over what was then a small neighborhood thrift, First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Cleveland. During Mr. Koch's tenure, the company grew at an annual rate of over 25% and is now the 22nd largest bank in the United States. In 1988, First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Cleveland changed its name to Charter One Financial. From 1941 until 1968, Mr. Koch, a Cleveland native, held various executive positions in the aerospace industry, including head of the Space Division of Martin-Marietta Corp. in Baltimore, Maryland. He also has served on the advisory committee of NASA and its predecessor, NACA. He taught graduate engineering courses at the Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland and management courses at the American Management Association. He also held numerous design patents including the Seamaster, the world's first jet seaplane, and the A-10 Tactical Air Fighter. Mr. Koch was elected to the board of directors of First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Cleveland, in 1964. He was named president in 1968, succeeding his father, Charles F. Koch, who was founder of First Federal Savings and Loan. Mr. Koch served as chief executive officer of the bank from 1972 to 1988. He served as chairman of the board until 1995 when he was named chairman emeritus and remained active in the bank's affairs until his death. Upon his retirement, Mr. Koch's eldest son, Charles John \Bud\Koch succeeded him as chairman. Mr. Koch's other son, John David Koch, is executive vice president and a director of the bank. From 1979 through 1986, Mr. Koch served on the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, and in 1986, he was named vice chairman. He is past chairman of the Ohio Savings and Loan League and the Northeastern Ohio League of Savings Institutions. From 1972 to 1985 Mr. Koch served on the Board of St. Alexis Hospital, as did his father before him. He was a member of the board of trustees of the American Cancer Society Cleveland Division, a member of the Cleveland Rotary, the Shaker Heights Country Club, the Union Club, the Cleveland Athletic Club and the Rockwell Springs Trout Club. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fly-fishing with his sons and grandsons. Mr. Koch received a B.S. degree from Case School of Applied Science in 1941. He was a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Xi honorary societies at Case. He played the violin in the Case Orchestra, the trumpet in the Band and was Drum Major. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Elizabeth Rusch; his two sons, Charles \Bud\and John David; and four grandsons, Brian, Jack, David, Marc; his brother, Frank of Boynton Beach, FL; and sister, Margaret Seidal of Painesville. Daisy Karlo
Daisy Karlo, age 87, of Magadore, died Monday, April 15, 2002, in Akron City Hospital. She was retired from Western Reserve Boys Academy in Hudson as Head Dietician. She was a member of Springfield Church of the Brethren, and D of A. Survived by sisters, Alice Weyer, and Katherine Kowaleski, both of Hudson; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Anna Karlo; sister, Mary Brumbaugh; brother, Michael Karlo. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Springfield Church of the Brethren with Pastor Steve Van Houten and Rev. David Kowaleski officiating. Dorothy Schultheis
Dorothy Cookie Schultheis, age 60, of Centerville, Indiana, died Friday, April 12, 2002, very unexpectedly at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. Dorothy was born in Massillon, Ohio, January 24, 1942, a daughter of Nick and Dorothy Friend Todich. She was owner-operator of Centerville Pottery for the past 33 year. The pottery business has been in the family for the past 70 years and was started by grandfather Schultheis. Dorothy was a member of the National Business Association, Professional Florist, Indiana Women's Bowling League and was an avid bowler. Dorothy is survived by her husband, James Schultheis, whom she married December 19, 1964, in Canton, Ohio; two sons, Bill Hemperly (wife, Peggy) of Massillon, Ohio, Scott Hemperly of Evansville, Indiana; her patents of Massillon, Ohio; three brothers, Nick Todich Jr., and Pete Todich both of Massillon, Ohio., Raymond Todich of Evansville, Indiana; a sister, Rena Moore of Uniontown, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 29119, Phoenix, AZ 85038-9119. The Marshall Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, Indiana, are handling the arrangements. There will be no public calling or funeral services.

Evelyn N. Ellis
Evelyn N. Ellis, age 79, of Louisville, OH, passed away Sunday morning in the St. Joseph Care Center following a brief illness. Born in Canton on December 31, 1922, she had lived the greater portion of her life in the East Canton area. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Ellis. Survivors include several nieces, nephews and close friends. It was Mrs. Ellis' desire to be cremated and there will be no services. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph P. Close
Joseph P. Close (Papa Joe), 80, of Sugarland, TX formerly of Carrollton began his eternal life in Heaven on Friday April 12, 2002. His tired body released his soul to a place free from pain. We will always remember his caring and nurturing ways and his constant desire to help others in need. He was born in Dellroy, July 20, 1921, son of the late, Clare and Margaret Jones Close. He retired from Republic Steel in Canton. He was a former employee of Puskarich Mining, Inc. in Kentucky. When he returned to Carrollton he was a self-employed carpenter. Joe was a Army Veteran of W.W. II, and a life member of the Dellory American Legion. He is survived by one daughter, Terri Close Williams of Sugarland, TX; two sisters, Nellie Dale Noble of Carrollton and Maryann Al Stockum of Columbus; four grandchildren, Marne Jo Chris Cangelosi of Sugarland, Stephanie Kuhns of Louisville, CO, Jennifer Roger Thomas of Carrollton and Tisha Todd Rainsberg of Dellroy; eight great-grandchildren, Trevor, Andrew Barrett Cangelosi, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Abigail Tzakary Rainsberg, all whom he dearly loved; his dear friend, Jane Close of Sugarland, TX. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Gary Kuhns. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Jack Lumley officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the American Legion, VFW, and DAV. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 7-9 p.m.

Keith A. Fohl
Keith A. Fohl. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour before services on Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. His wishes were to be cremated and his cremains will be buried in the Union Cemetery in Navarre.

Marian C. Myers
Marian C. Myers, of Canton, died Monday in the Chapel Hill Community. Born in Massillon, she had been a Canton resident most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy J. Myers, who died in 1988, and by a sister, Loretta Miday. Survived by a sister, Mildred A. Estenik, of Canton, and nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Fr. Ronald Klingler officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Mary Pirolozzi
Mary Wanda Ley Pirolozzi, age 75, died Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 7:05 p.m. at her residence of natural causes. A native of Canton, OH and a resident of New Orleans, LA for the past 37 years. She was a retired employee from the State of Louisiana. Beloved wife of Charles Pirolozzi and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ley. She was preceded in death by a brother, James of Canton, OH; Mother to Regina Pirolozzi and Vicky Pirolozzi of New Orleans, LA, Sharon Sanchez of St. Rose, LA and Marcia Chambers of Biloxi, MS; sister to Elizabeth James, Nancy Reis, and Ruth Ann Weaver, all of Canton, OH; grandmother to Emile Charles, Danielle Elizabeth, Kevin Patrick Sanchez and Michael Perry Chambers. A Memorial Mass was held Thursday, April 11, 2002 at 7 p.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6300 Pines Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Paul Giamorides
Paul Giamorides, age 63, of North Canton, passed away early Monday morning after a brief illness. Born in Sohom, Russia, he had been a resident since 1963. A member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the A.H.E.P.A. Men's Club, Paul was a self-employed contractor. Preceded in death by his parents, Pericles and Sotiria (Samertsides) Giamorides; brother, Mattheus and sister, Pelagia Kelesidou. He is survived by his wife, Parthena (Karasarides) Giamorides; son, Barry; daughters and son-in-law, Sandy and Maynard Rains, Sherry Giamorides, Paula Giamorides, all of Canton; granddaughter, Rosie Parthena Rains; sisters, Sophia Petrakis, Ourania Hameltiou, Eleni Moustaka, all of Greece. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8 p.m. in the ROSSI FUNERAL HOME and one hour before services on Thursday in the church from 10-11 a.m. Trisagion services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday and A.H.E.P.A. services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Paul R. Fenner
Paul R. Fenner, age 87, of Canton, passed away Sunday afternoon in Manor Care Nursing Home. He was born in Portsmouth, OH, a son of the late Obie and Edna Mae Mitchell Fenner, and had been a Canton resident most of his life. He was a 1937 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce. He was retired in 1976 from Canton Drop Forge, after 25 years service, where he was a hammerman's helper. He previously had been Assistant Manager of the former Belden Hotel in Canton. Mr. Fenner was a member of Church of The Savior, United Methodist and Canton Moose Lodge #233. He was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and served in the Philippines. Survived by his wife, Sally M. Fenner, with whom he celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary Feb. 11th; his daughter, Marsha Kay Fenner; his son, William Fenner and two granddaughters, Leah and Lauren Fenner, all of Canton. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in North Lawn Cemetery with Rev. George Roberts officiating. There will be no calling hours. Contributions in Mr. Fenner's memory may be made to Church of The Savior, United Methodist, 120 S. Cleveland Ave., Canton, OH 44702. Pete Potirakis
Pete Potirakis, age 76, of Canton, passed away early Monday morning in McKinley Life Care Centre after a brief illness. He was born in Tridelphia, WV and came to Canton 55 years ago from Cleveland. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, member of the Men's Club of the church, Holy Trinity Golf League and the Senior Citizens. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co., employed there for 33 years as a straightner. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army. Survived by his wife, Kleo Kik (John) Potirakis, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 15, 2001; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Helen Potirakis of North Canton; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Roger Ricker of Sellersburgh, IN; four grandchildren, Bryan and Alecia Ricker, Leah and Jonathan Potirakis; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and his parents. Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. John Stravropoulos officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services on Wednesday, 9-10 a.m., with a Trisagion service at 9 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Trinity or the Alzheimers Assoc. in his memory. Ralph C. Scott, Jr.
Ralph C. Scott, Jr. age 43, of Canton In loving memory of Ralph C. Scott, Jr., who was born April 13, 1959 and died April 14, 2002. He was an active father from sports events to watching movies with the kids. He was a supportive husband for 18 years. Ralph graduated from Timken High School in 1977. He was the eldest son of a family of six. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Barbara Scott, Sr.; one daughter, Jennifer J. Himes. Survivors include his wife, Paula L. Scott; six children, all of Canton, Brandy K., Ralph III, Christopher, Charles, John, Tiffany; two grandchildren, Nickolas Ray Himes of Magnolia, and Aundrea Elizabeth Cantu of Canton; three sisters, Lydia, Peggy, Margarette; two brothers, John and Steve; several aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews. Robert McCauley, Sr.
Robert E. McCauley, Sr., age 76, of Canton, passed away, Monday, April 15, 2002 in Aultman Hospital. Born in Congo, WV, he was the son of the late, Everett and Grace McCauley and graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1944. A World War II Navy Veteran, he was retired from Superior Dairy. He was a member of the Louisville Eagles #2374. Preceded in death by his first wife, Lulu E; a brother, Ernie; three sisters, Mary Morales, Marie Martin, Clara Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Dennis and Robert E., Jr., both of Canton; a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Lynda) Temsic of Canton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dale (Grace) Diddle of East Liverpool. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Earl B. Jack Funeral Home. Burial in North Lawn Cemetery.

Ronald R. Lynch
Ronald R. Lynch, age 39, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2002, at his home. He was born in Canton, May 17, 1962. He was a Navy veteran. Preceded in death by his mother, Eugenia Lynch. Ron is survived by his wife, Cathlene; a son, Ronald R. Lynch, Jr. of the home; his father and stepmother, Art and Alice Lynch of Louisville; a sister, Tammy Butler; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Jeanne Lynch, Douglas and Kimberly Lynch, all of Louisville; nephews, Chuck and Joel; nieces, Laurie and Lisa Lynch. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Pastor Dan Deem officiating. Sister Marie Shea
Sister Marie Shea H.M. age 93, formerly of Sr. Mary Benedict, who died Sat. Apr. 13, 2002 at Villa Maria Community Center. Sr. Marie Shea entered the Sisters of the Humility of Mary from St. John Baptist Parish Canton, OH in 1935. Sr. Marie was actively involved for 50 years in schools in the Cleveland and Youngstown Dioceses including Mt. Marie Academy, St. John High School and Central Catholic High School Boys Division all in Canton. Sister Maria is survived by her sisters in the Humility of Mary Congregation; and two nieces. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Weds. April 17, 2002 at 3 p.m. at Village Maria Chapel. Calling hours will be at Villa Maria Chapel Tuesday, April 15th, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. also April 17th. from 1-2:30 p.m. A wake service is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Sisters of the Humility of Mary Villa Maria, PA 16155.

Steven L. Kasler
Steven L. Kasler, age 54, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning at the home. Born in Canton on November 10, 1947, he was a Veteran of the VietNam Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a former employee of Hercules Engineers and Motel 6. He was a member of the Salvation Army and was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elsie Kasler; and a brother, Foster Kasler. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Diane (Longmore) Kasler of the home; three sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jason Kasler both of the home, and Paul and Melanie Kasler of Canton; grandson, Aaron A. Kasler of Canton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Beverly Kasler of Brewster, George and Janet Kasler of Canton, Terry and Audrey Kasler of Navarre, Louis Ray and Diane Kasler of Canton; three sisters and brother - in - law, Dorothy McLaughlin of Sierra Vista, AZ., Hilda Owens of Paris, OH., and Patricia and Sheldon Knutty of Canton; his mother-in-law, Louise Longmore of the home; there are numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be conducted Thursday at 6 p.m. from the Salvation Army with Major, Robert Meyers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services on Thursday from 5-6 p.m. The Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Wesley Bryant Clark
Wesley Bryant Clark, age 81, of Canton, passed away Friday morning following a brief illness in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Stow, OH, to the late John Ernest and Margaret Louise (Bryant) Clark. For 10 years until retirement, he was employed by the City of Akron Tax Department as a tax auditor. A veteran of the Army during World War II. He was a very involved member of the Lion's Club, both in Perry Twp. and the city of Stow, where he held the office of Councilman - at - large and Council President. A member of the Stow Republican Club, he held the position as the Ward Chairman for the Republican Party of Akron and Stow. He was a Notary Public, a Free and Accepted Mason and an appraiser for the Probate Court in Stow. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Jean Clark in 1973; four sisters, Betty Clark, Barbara Sues, Isabel Tibby Pincoff and Mary Clark. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Cheryl Keltner of Canton; one grandson, William Bryant Keltner of Canton; two granddaughters, Tamara Jean Keltner of Springfield, OH, Jennifer Dianne Keltner of North Canton; one great-grandson, Trent Nathaniel Perkins of Springfield; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Stow City Cemetery, Stow, OH with Rev. Ray Tucker officiating. Burial to follow. Hazel Snowden
Hazel Snowden, age 55, passed away at Mercy Medical
Center. She was born in Canton and had lived in this community all of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille. Survived by sons, Ryan (Stephanie) Rorie of Massillon, Desmond Rorie and Charles D. Snowden, both of Canton; special niece, Satoya James; brother, John (Anna) Blackburn of Canton; sisters, Eunice (Eugene) Boylcins, Linda Matthews and Dwan Winston, all of Canton; 20 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the Rhoden Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Roy Wooten officiating. Interment North Lawn Cemetery.
