David M. Hoffman
David M. Hoffman, age 33, of Alliance; loving husband, father, son and brother, passed away Friday, March 30, 2001, in the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer. David was born November 3, 1967, in Canton. He was a 1986 graduate of Louisville High School and 1993 graduate of the University of Akron School of Engineering. David was a Mechanical Engineer for Midlake Products in Louisville; and attended First Friends Church in Alliance. David leaves behind his wife of six years, Brooke (Tinlin) Hoffman, whom he married April 30, 1994; a daughter, Paige of the home; his mother, Agnes Hoffman of Louisville; seven sisters, Susan Moser of Louisville, Cathy Berkshire of North Canton, Heidi Celaschi of Stow, Holly Paolucci of Chapin, SC., Pam Shuman of Robertsville, Kari McCauley of Louisville and Christine Pitts of Louisville; five brothers, Phil Hoffman of Euclid, Tom Hoffman of Louisville, Steve Hoffman of Columbus, Tim Hoffman of Komaki, Japan, and Mike Hoffman of Louisville. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hoffman, who passed away July 7, 1993. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Friends may call Monday evening (tonight) 5-7 p.m. at the First Friends Church of Alliance. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.

John J. LeMoine
John J. LeMoine, age 75, of Minerva, died Sunday morning, April 1, 2001, in the Alliance Community Hospital. He was born January 1, 1926, in East Liverpool to John Wilmer and Leona (Vess) LeMoine. He retired from TRW Metals in Minerva after 29 years of service. He is a member of Minerva United Methodist Church. He was a US Marine Veteran of World War II and life member of the American Legion Post #357 in Minerva. He was a member of the Minerva AARP Chapter #3720, the Carrollton Pelican Club and was a board member for the Minerva Senior Citizen Center. He was a great dad. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irene LeMoine, whom he married September 17, 1950; two daughters, Nancy LeMoine of Louisville, Karen Bartuseck of Mason; a sister, Helen Paisley of Minerva; two grandchildren, Amanda and Brian Bartuseck of Mason; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Lilly Hemming. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Minerva United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Lausch officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial donations may be made to the Minerva United Methodist Church or the Carroll County Hospice.

Polly Clark
Polly Clark, age 80, formerly of North Canton, died Saturday in her home. She was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class and Keen Agers of the First Christian Church, the AARP, and was a life member of Mended Hearts Association. Survived by her daughters, Paulette J. Bersaglini of Canton and Cathy Ann Volp of North Andover, MA; sons Harry R. Clark, Jr. and Kenneth L. Clark both of North Canton and Richard G. Clark of Medina; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Clark, Sr. in 1999. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am in the Karlo Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Nathan officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4916 Hills and Dales Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44708.

Richard Alexander
Richard C. (Dick) Alexander, passed away in the home Sunday morning after a short battle with cancer. Born in Hickory, NC., on May 11, 1923, to Amos and Edith (Lail) Alexander, Dick lived his entire adult life in Stark County. Dick was a veteran of World War II serving as Staff Sergeant and electrician on the B-29 Bomber group on Tinian Island in the South Pacific. Dick spent a lifetime in the construction field, employed as residential designer and millwork supervisor for Schneider Lumber Co., and retired as general manager of Mr. O's Cabinet Shop, a division of Fred Olivieri Construction Co. He was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Canton, and a current member of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Louisville and past council and choir member. He was a 37 year member of Toastmasters #637, held all offices and was an award-winning speaker. The Toastmasters were gracious and very loving and supportive during his illness and he cherished their friendship. Dick was also known as the Singing M.C. by his many fans and friends at Mayfield Senior Center and the Buckeye Country Music Association. Dick was a great promoter and fan of country music and touched many with his performances and beautiful singing voice. He was also a former member and state trustee of the Ohio Country and Western Music Association and served for 11 years as M.C. at the Great Trail Festival in Malvern, Ohio. He was a long-standing member of the Louisville F.O.E., Osnaburg Historical Society in which he served for a time as Trustee, a member of the Osnaburg Township Board of Zoning Appeals and was a previous Osnaburg Township Zoning Inspector. He also was a charter member of the Lincoln Highway Association. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen (Knepper) Alexander, who passed away March 24, 1986 after 42 years of marriage. He is survived by daughters, Karen E. Reed and husband, Charles E. Reed of Robertsville, Elizabeth (Beth) Campbell and husband, Terry Campbell of East Canton with whom he resided, and Rebecca (Becky) Binkley and fiancee', Bruce A. Thompson of Louisville. Surviving grandchildren are Michelle Brunner of Green, Archie Morris and his wife, Rhonda of Louisville, Roland Campbell of Perrysburg, Ohio, David Binkley of Nashville, TN., Christina Campbell of Nelsonville, Ohio, Carli Binkley of Louisville, Ohio, Meghann Binkley of Nashville, TN., and Sarah Campbell of East Canton. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his long-time friend and companion, Thelma Armstrong of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Amos H. Alexander II. He is survived by a sister, Betty Galliher of Canton; a sister, Christine Collins of El Cajon, California; brother and sister-in-law, James and Wanda Alexander of Canton; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Pat) and Jackie Alexander of Midlothian, Virginia. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald R. Smith officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Myers-Kreighbaum -Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour (12:00 -1:00 p.m.) before services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 930 S. Nickel Plate Ave., Louisville, OH 44641.

Richard R. Rinehart
Richard R. Rinehart, age 73, of Canton, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 31, 2001, in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He retired as Operations Officer from the former Peoples Merchant Trust Company, now known as KeyBank. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he ushered for the past 50 years; he was also a member of the American Orchid Society, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was Volunteer of the Year at Mercy Medical Center where he volunteered from 1983 to 1991; he was an avid gardener who enjoyed raising flowers. He was preceded in death by his father, T.W. Bill Rinehart in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Molly, with whom he would have celebrated 26 years of marriage this August; his mother, Marion Rinehart of Massillon; a brother, W.A. Bill (Verrill) Rinehart of San Francisco, CA; a niece, Kristen; and nephews Tom and Ralph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna as Celebrant and Fr. Ronald Klingler as Con-celebrant. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Massillon. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. in the Don Williams Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Mercy Medical Center or St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Richard W. Vickers
Richard William Vickers, age 76, of MarlboroTownship, died Saturday evening, March 31, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center. Born June 10, 1924 in Canton to the late Russell H. and Viola Mae (Glew) Vickers. Richard owned and operated theAtlantic/Arco Service Station in Hartville, was a co-owner of a Marathon Service Station in Akron with his son, Terry and retired as a schoolteacher from R. G. Drage Career Education Center. During WW II he was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army where he received the Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Pearl Marie (Mattern) Vickers; three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jack Gobley of Atwater; Sherry and Ernest McCracken of Marlboro; Sandy and Russell Bean of Limaville; four sons and daughters-in-law Victor and Cora Vickers of Alliance; Terry and Joyce Vickers of Hartville; Dick and Cindy Vickers of Canton; Russell and Lisa Vickers of Alliance; two sisters, Vivian Hoffman of Massillon, Ann and Kent Miller of Hartville; three brothers Thomas Vickers of Hartville; Harold and Mabel Vickers of Hartville, Clyde and Nancy Vickers of Canton; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville with Dean Miller and Pastor David Hohlbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Marlboro Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home.

Roma Campanaro
Roma Campanaro, of Canton, passed away in her home Sunday afternoon, April 1, 2001. Calling hours Tuesday 6-9 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home.

Teresa Pandoli
Teresa Pandoli, age 91, of Canton, passed away April 1, 2001. Teresa was born in Stoneboro, PA., on April 8, 1908, and was a Canton resident most of her life. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pandoli; her parents, John and Mary Mittica; infant son, John; sister, Rose; and grandson, Dean Cecconi. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Rose and Albert Cecconi of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Rita Pandoli of Canton; son, John Pandoli Jr. of Canton; five grandchildren and spouses, Thomas and Kimberly Cecconi, Gregory and Traci Cecconi, Janet Cecconi, David and Vicki Pandoli; Sandra and Robert Toth; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Josephine Monteleone, Mary Gennetti, Phyllis Zaccardi, Connie and Gene Lanzo all of Canton; many caring and loving nieces and nephews. Teresa will be remembered for her unconditional love and caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph Ruggieri as Celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home and also on Wednesday morning one hour before the Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The funeral procession will form at the church.
