Beatrice C. Mitchell
Beatrice C. Mitchell, age 97, departed this life on Sunday, April 1, 2001, following an extended illness. Born April 5, 1903, in Oxford, MS., she was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Mary Cook; siblings, and her husband of 50 years, Ben Mitchell. She was a member of Bathsheba Chapter of the Eastern Star in Oxford, MS. She was a former member of Armstead Chapel C.M.E. Church in Oxford, MS, serving on the Stewardess Board and sang in the choir. She was affiliated with Bethel C.M.E. Church in Canton. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy (John) Terrell, Jr.; three gra-ndchildren: John (Rosemary) Terrell III, Joyce (Wayne) Dixon of Indianapolis, IN., Audra Terrell of Columbus, OH; three great-grandchildren, Johnalita Terrell of Akron, OH., John Terrell IV, Johlan; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of many friends. Funeral services Thursday, April 5, 2001, 12:30 p.m. at Brogdon and Son Funeral Home, 1617 - 3rd St. NE, Canton, OH 44704. Rev. William B. Phillips, officiating. Calling hours Thursday from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at: 2428 - 7th St. N.E., Canton, OH 44704. Arrangements by Brogdon and Son Funeral Home.

Deane V. Sullivan
Deane V. Sullivan, died March 24, 2001 in Sarasota, FL. She was a former member of the Junior League of Canton. She loved flowers and gardening. Private services were held in Florida. Her wishes were to be cremated and her cremains were placed in her garden. Survivors include, her husband, Eugene; a son, Timothy of Hawaii; two daughters, Maureen Wyant and Deirdre Bruchey both Frederick, MD; three grandchildren and her sister, Phyllis V. Psolla of North Canton. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, David. Donations may be send to Hospice House of Southwest Florida, Sarasota, Florida.

Lloyd W. Brown
Lloyd W. Brown, age 83, of Akron, died Sunday afternoon, April 1, 2001, in Akron General Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Morristown, TN, and had resided in the Akron area most of his life. He retired in 1979 from Goodyear Aerospace where he was employed for 34 years. Mr. Brown served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Decater and Mattie Brown; his brother, James Brown; and sister, Virginia Boggs. He is survived by his wife, Anna Brown, to whom he was married for 58 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Elizabeth Brown of Rockville, MD; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mitchell Machan of Canton; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Veronica Brown, Brandon and Tori Machan. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

Margaret B. Eschliman
Margaret B. Eschliman, age 91, of Canton died early Sunday morning in the Canton Regency Health Care. A life resident of Canton, Margaret retired from the Stark County Courts and Canton Municipal Court where she had been assignment commissioner for over 50 years. Margaret was a member of Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, Meals on Wheels, Humane Society of Stark County, Canton Art Institute, and had been active with the U.S. Equestrian Team. She is survived by several cousins. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home, 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Rev. Charles W. Ulmer officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County, 5100 Peach St., NE, Louisville, OH 44641, Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, 2521 12th St., NW, Canton, OH 44708 or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mary Willis
Mary F. Willis, age 91, passed away April 1, 2001 at Rose Lane Health Center. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she lived most of her life in Canton, OH. Preceded in death by husband, Donald E. Willis, world-renowned billiards player, daughter, Donna Copeland Pugh, and son-in-law, Harold Zeiger. Survived by five children, Shirley (Albert) Menegay and Patricia (Donald) Laps of Massillon, OH, Nancy (Joseph) Stephen of Canton, OH, Barbara (Carl) Nelson of Clinton, OH, and Donald Willis (Paula Lane) of Fellsmere, FL; one brother, Jack Farmer of New London, OH; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchild-ren and nine great-great-gra-ndchildren; a niece and a nephew and her beloved cat, Charlie. She was a member of First United Church of Christ. For many years she was an active member of Service Star Legion and served as national, state and local chapter president and held numerous other offices including hospital cha-irman. Other memberships included Stark County Humane Society, Animal Protection Guild, AARP, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion, Daughters of America and Royal Neighbors. She was an avid doll collector and loved animals. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Schneeberger Funeral Home with Dr. Darrell Filler officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and one hour before services. Memorials may be made to the Animal Protection Guild, 3124 - 9th St., S.W., Canton, OH 44710 or First UCC Building Fund, 901 Tuscarawas St., E., Canton, OH 44707.

Polly Clark
Polly Clark. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Karlo Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Nathan officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, (tonight) 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4916 Hills and Dales Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44708.

Richard Alexander
Richard C. (Dick) Alexander. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald R. Smith officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Myers - Kreighbaum - Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour (12:00 - 1:00 p.m.) before services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 930 S. Nickel Plate Ave., Louisville, OH 44641.

Richard R. Rinehart
Richard R. Rinehart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna as Celebrant and Fr. Ronald Klingler as Concelebrant. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Massillon. Friends may call Tuesday (today) 5-8 p.m. in the Don Williams Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Mercy Medical Center or St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Richard W. Vickers
Richard William Vickers, age 76, of MarlboroTownship, died Saturday evening, March 31, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center. Born June 10, 1924 in Canton to the late Russell H. and Viola Mae (Glew) Vickers. Richard owned and operated theAtlantic/Arco Service Station in Hartville, was a co-owner of a Marathon Service Station in Akron with his son, Terry and retired as a schoolteacher from R. G. Drage Career Education Center. During WW II he was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army where he received the Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Pearl Marie (Mattern) Vickers; three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jack Gobley of Atwater; Sherry and Ernest McCracken of Marlboro; Sandy and Russell Bean of Limaville; four sons and daughters-in-law Victor and Cora Vickers of Alliance; Terry and Joyce Vickers of Hartville; Dick and Cindy Vickers of Canton; Russell and Lisa Vickers of Alliance; two sisters, Vivian Hoffman of Massillon, Ann and Kent Miller of Hartville; three brothers Thomas Vickers of Hartville; Harold and Mabel Vickers of Hartville, Clyde and Nancy Vickers of Canton; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville with Dean Miller and Pastor David Hohlbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Marlboro Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home.

Robert Louis Bissler
Robert Louis Bissler, 75, of Palm City, FL, passed away in peace at home on March 29, 2001, following a stroke. He is survived by: his loving wife, Gwen; mother-in-law, Noni Malavenda; eight children - Melody Scarpitti of Jensen Beach, FL; Peggy Speck of Akron, OH; John Reed of Salem, OH; Sally Franke of West Palm Beach, FL; William Reed of Alliance, OH; Robert Bissler of Akron, OH; Mary Shannon of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and James Bissler of Fort Lauderdale, FL; stepchildren - Greg Weigand, U.S. Navy, Wilkesboro, NC; Kris Weigand of Statesville, NC; and Theresa Weigand of Palm City, FL; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward J. and Josephine Gutfleisch Bissler, and brother Edward L. Bissler, all of Alliance; and stepson Scott A. Weigand of Statesville, NC. He was born in Alliance, OH, on February 20, 1926, and was an area resident until moving to Florida in 1988. He was a 1947 graduate of Alliance High School and a U.S. Army World War II veteran, serving in both the European and Asian theaters. Following the war he was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans and the Knights of Columbus. He is a former owner of Bissler Plumbing in Alliance, and was a lifelong member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 94, Canton, OH. He was active in two churches: St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Andrew Catholic Church, both in Stuart, FL. He is a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alliance. He was an active volunteer at Martin Memorial North Hospital in Stuart, where he worked in the pharmacy. Bob touched many people's lives through his involvement with the Beginning Experience and Starting Over programs in South Florida. He was widely loved for his wonderful sense of humor, his deep compassion and his ability to reach out to others. His lifelong motto was, \It's never too late to have a happy childhood.\He will be deeply missed by his many friends and loved ones. There will be a funeral service at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart on Thursday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. A private burial service will follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Martin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 9010, Stuart, FL 34995, 561-288-5886.

Roma J. Campanaro
Roma J. Campanaro, age 67, of Canton, died Sunday afternoon, April 1, 2001, in her home after a two year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Caldwell, OH, on August 26, 1933 to Joseph and Bernetta Schoeppner and lived most of her life in Canton. She graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1951 and married Dominic J. Campanaro on October 2, 1954. A member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, she was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, Dominic; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bill Morgan of Massillon, Dina and Bill Schweizer of Canton; daughter, Denise Campanaro of San Francisco, CA; mother, Bernetta Leonard of Canton; sister, Ruth DiAntonio of Canton; brothers, Vic Schoeppner of Sarahsville, Dale Schoeppner of East Sparta, Joseph Schoeppner of North Attleboro, MA and Tom Schoeppner of Minerva; grandchildren, Krista and Jason Schweizer and Mandy Morgan, all of Canton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-9 p.m. (tonight) at Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish with Rev. Robert Kaylor officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society- Making Strides, 925 South Main St., North Canton 44720. or to the memorial scholarship fund established in her name at Central Catholic High School, 4824 Tuscarawas West, Canton, OH 44708.

Teresa Pandoli
Teresa Pandoli, age 91, of Canton, passed away April 1, 2001. Teresa was born in Stoneboro, PA., on April 8, 1909, and was a Canton resident most of her life. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pandoli; her parents, John and Mary Mittica; infant son, John; sister, Rose; and grandson, Dean Cecconi. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Rose and Albert Cecconi of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Rita Pandoli of Canton; son, John Pandoli Jr. of Canton; five grandchildren and spouses, Thomas and Kimberly Cecconi, Gregory and Traci Cecconi, Janet Cecconi, David and Vicki Pandoli; Sandra and Robert Toth; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Josephine Monteleone, Mary Ginetti, Phyllis Ziccardi, Connie and Gene Lanzo all of Canton; many caring and loving nieces and nephews. Teresa will be remembered for her unconditional love and caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph Ruggieri as Celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home and also on Wednesday morning one hour before the Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The funeral procession will form at the church.
