USA High School Yearbooks by State and County

JANICE MOYER
Janice K. Moyer, 82, Junction City, died Thursday, Jan. 13 from the result of an auto accident.
Born Nov. 1, 1917, Fairfield County, she was the widow of James Moyer, who died in 1995.
A Bremen High School graduate, she was a past member of Bremen EUB Church and a longtime member of Avlon United Brethren in Christ Church, where she was active in missionary services and a Sunday School teacher. She also was a seamstress, working several years for Johnston's Stitching Post in Lancaster.
Surviving are two sons, The Rev. Douglas (Janice) Moyer of Lancaster and George A. Moyer of Columbus; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Veleda Copeland of Holgate.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lowell and Cecil Young.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Snyder-Sheridan Funeral Home, Bremen, with Pastor Charles Wheatley officiating.
Burial will be in Grandview cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

ALICE BARTON
Alice Marie Barton, 64, Laurelville, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 15.
Born July 16, 1935, Hocking County, daughter of Elva Danner Behmer of Adelphi and the late Chandler Behmer, she was married to Fred T. Barton, who survives. The couple were married June 25, 1955, in Hallsville.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she spent her life as a homemaker. She loved to ride her bicycle, play games and dance. She had many friends throughout her life and all who knew her loved her wonderful smile.
Also surviving are three daughters, Melissa L. Polley of Milford Center, Kitty R. Berling of Charlotte, N.C., and Denise Barton of Columbus; two sisters, Mary Flowers and Ruth Hunt, both of Adelphi; a brother, Richard Behmer of Amanda; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special nephew Walter Behmer.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with the Rev. Doyne Wiggins officiating.
Burial will be in Green Summit cemetery.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

ROXIE BLAIR
Roxie L. Blair, 83, Logan, died Saturday, Jan. 15 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born July 16, 1916, Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Hannson and Anna Baines Mills McHenry.
She was a member of Scenic Hills Senior Center.
Surviving are three sons, Larry H. (Celia) Blair, K. Richard Blair and David W. (Charlotte) Blair, all of Logan; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Patricia) Sinnott of Logan; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. Vernon Barrell officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

GRACIE BURGOON
Gracie J. Burgoon, 74, Laurelville, died Friday, Jan. 14 at her residence.
Born April 8, 1925, Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Leman and Ina G. Rodgers.
She was a cook for General Motors Cafeteria and a member of Redmans Lodge.
Surviving are five daughters, Judy Morgan of Grove City, Mrs. Larry (Waveline) Woods of Pataskala, Mrs. Michael (Marilyn) Cain of Frankfort, Mrs. John (Patricia) Jude of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Mrs. Randy (Frances) Curry of Reynoldsburg; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Rodgers of Royalton and Nate Rodgers; and two sisters, Alma Sayre of Obetz and Edith Rodgers of Grove City.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Church.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 today at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville.

JAMES CONOVER
James Kenneth Conover, 72, Nelsonville, died Friday, Jan. 14 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara. He leaves a second wife, Jean Conover; a son, Christopher Conover; a daughter, Candi Conover; six grandchildren; four stepchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
Mr. Conover loved music and sang in barbershop choruses and quartets for most of his life. He went to the international barbershop competitions seven times. He sang in the Presbyterian church choir. He was an excellent painter and loved to paint Amish scenes and other beautiful pictures. He did cartoons and wrote poetry. He was an engraver for Hallmark and American Greeting Cards and also had his own engraving business for a number of years. He was an excellent golfer and worked at Hocking Hills Golf Club after his retirement from the engraving business.
Mr. Conover has requested that he be cremated.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Harold McConnell officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.

TRICIA FREY
Tricia Lynn Frey, 19, Mount Vernon, died Friday, Jan. 14 at Carterbury Villa in Centerburg.
Born July 2, 1980, Mount Vernon, she was the daughter of Karen Crawford Wilson of Mount Vernon and Timothy Mundy Sr. of Mount Vernon.
She spent her lifetime in Knox County. She had attended Pine Street Church of God in Mount Vernon and was a member of Ohio Citizens CB Radio Group.
Also surviving are grandmothers Pat Crawford and Tanya Smith, both of Mount Vernon; grandfather John Wood of Pickerington; three half sisters, Atani Wilson, Tanya Mundy and Natashia Mundy; a stepsister, Laura Zirkler; nine half brothers, Derek Frey, Matthew Frey, Timothy Mundy Jr., Paul Mundy, Ryan Mundy, Randall Mundy, J.J. Mundy, John Ocker and Jamie Losh; and a stepbrother, Richard Ketchel.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Skye Wilson, and a grandfather, Albert Crawford.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
Burial will be in Mound View cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Knox County, 302 E. High St., Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.

CHARLES F. GRAHAM
Charles F. "Mike" Graham, 83, New Straitsville, died Saturday, Jan. 15 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 26, 1916, Hocking County, son of the late Charles Graham and Bess Oliver Graham Linton, he was the widower of Dorothy L. Grove Graham, to whom he was married for 51 years.
A World War II Army Veteran, he was a retired oil field worker and a member of St. John Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Rita Jo) Boyle of Logan; four grandchildren, Kevin (Margie) Boyle, Keith Boyle, Mrs. Jerry (Kim) Downs and Kathy Boyle, all of Logan; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Boyle, Danny Boyle and Michael Downs.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Linton.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church with Father Richard J. Pendolphi officiating.
Burial will be in Fellowship cemetery, Green Township.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking County Combined Veterans Organizations.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Tuesday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan.
Christian wake services will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

BEATRICE E. McKEE
Beatrice "Bea" E. McKee, 88, Nelsonville, died Friday, Jan. 14.
Born July 25, 1911, Columbus, daughter of the late Guy and Goldie Daily Moore, she was the widow of Charles McKee, who died Nov. 17, 1989.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville.
Friends may call two hours prior to services today at the funeral home.

NIRANJAN PATEL
Niranjan M. Patel, 63, died Saturday, Jan. 15 at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus.
Son of Savitaben Patel, who survives, and the late Muljibhai Patel, he was married to Shirley, who survives.
A chemical engineer, he had graduated with his bachelor of science degree from Sardar Patel University and with his master of science degree from Newark College of Engineering.
Also surviving are eight children, Mark (Camille) Guy, Rick Arocho, Belinda (Jerry) Crane, Tony (Thea) Arocho, Byron Patel, Nira Patel, Natu (Mardy) Patel, and Hitesh (Aruna) Patel; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Shreeram Patel, Madhusudan Patel and Girish Patel; and three sisters, Madhuben Patel, Kusumben Patel and Urmilaben Patel.
He also was preceded in death by a son, Larry Guy.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3710 Broadway, Grove City, with Father Romano Ciotola officiating.
Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Schoedinger-Norris Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City.

JAMES A. CECIL
James Adrian "Kink" Cecil, 74, New Concord, died Saturday, Jan. 15 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.
Born April 10, 1925, son of the late John and Jessie Elizabeth Gentel Cecil, he was married to Vicki Gaines Cecil, who survives.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jeannie, Jessica and Adriene; two sons, Robert (Donna) Cecil of Logan and Gary (Dottie) Cecil of Lebanon, Pa.; two brothers, Marion (Shirley) Cecil of Newark and Ed Cecil of North Carolina; and a sister, Nellie Frazier of Logan.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Culp; a brother, Clarence Cecil; and a sister, Dorothy Stevens.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at Bryan Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave., Zanesville, with the Rev. Michael Donnally officiating.
Cremation will follow services.

LUCILLE MILLER
Lucille M. Miller, 94, Logan, died Sunday, Jan. 16 at Logan Health Care Center.
Born Jan. 29, 1905, Marietta, she was the daughter of the late George and Katherine Kellner Miller.
She attended Marietta schools and worked at L. Gruber and Sons. After receiving nurses' training, she worked at Cherrington Hospital in Logan and O'Bleness Hospital in Athens before retiring from the Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville.
She attended Gilman United Methodist Church in Marietta and Trinity United Methodist Church in Logan.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews in Akron, Logan and Marietta. They are Mrs. William H. (Judith A.) Miller, Marshall and Christina Miller, Tamara and Monte Monk, Melodee and Michael Slane and their children, Andrew, Philip and Catherine, all of Logan; The Rev. Tom and Bette Heinlein, Cynthia Heinlein, Joyce Heinlein and Elaine Williams and her daughter, Sylvia of Canton; Ethel Cullottea, George Hess, Nellie Beardmore and children of Pearl Warden, all of Marietta; Col. Dan Hess of Dayton; and a special friend, Lulu White of Laurelville.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, William Miller Sr. and Edward Miller; and three sisters, Florence Hess, Winifred C. Heinlein and Pearl Warden.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas E. Heinlein officiating.
Burial will be in New Fairview cemetery, Rockbridge.
Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
