Lorena Anness
Mrs. Lorena Anness, 103, of Middletown, passed away Monday, March 20, 2000, at Garden Manor Extended Care Center. She was born in Lawrenceburg, Ind., on Jan. 25, 1897, to Joseph and Ida (Stuber) Heiss. Mrs. Anness was educated in the Lawrenceburg Public School system and later graduated from Nelson's Business College in Cincinnati. After graduation, she worked for several years at the Heinz Food Co. She married Russell A. Anness in 1915 and moved to Middletown where they lived on 14th Avenue. During World War II, Mrs. Anness worked for Armco Steel Co. in the payroll department until her retirement in 1962. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. She leaves two sons, Russell W. (Jeanne) Anness and Harold "Hody" (Barbara) Anness, both of Middletown; a daughter, Evelyn Boone of Middletown; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1939; per parents; and a brother, George Heiss.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Ramsey officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Thelma S. Bach
Mrs. Thelma S. Bach, 92, of Middletown, passed away Monday, March 20, 2000, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. She was born on June 13, 1907, to the late Henry and Mary (Rose) Garrison in Campton, Ky. Mrs. Bach was a school teacher in Kentucky for more than 21 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1975. Survivors include a nephew, Carl Houndshell of Middletown; nieces Dorothy Flemming of Germantown, Thelma Wells of Franklin, Betty Gregory of Campton, Ky., and Lavon Pester of Jackson, Ky.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home in Germantown. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, one hour before the service, at the funeral home.

Leon Bailey Sr.
Leon Bailey Sr., 69, of Springboro passed away Saturday, March 25, 2000, while at home with his family. He was born on March 13, 1931, in Corbin, Ky., to William and Rose (Manning) Bailey. He married Peggy Bowling on Nov. 12, 1952, in Ft. Smith, Ark. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, 1950-1951, where he was assigned to the 7th Infantry Division, 32nd Rct., 57th Field Artillery Battalion, Battery B. He was a member of the Chosin Reservoir Veterans Association and a life member of VFW Post 3809 in Middletown. He worked for Armco Steel Co. Middletown plant for 38 years, retiring in 1990. He also served as a member of the Springboro City Council from 1982 to 1989. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy; four daughters, Rita and husband Jamie Sortman of Germantown, Joy and husband Mark Eagle of Miamisburg, Elizabeth and husband Todd Kinder of Springboro, Barbe and husband Mike Kirnec of Franklin; two sons, Leon Jr. and wife Desiree Bailey and Steven and wife Sherry Bailey of Springboro; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold of Erlanger, Ky., William of Florence, Ky., Charles Ray of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and sisters, Doris DeWald of Union, Ky., and Rita Harkey of Punta Gorda, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose Bailey; an aunt, Francis Black, and a nephew, James Wilson.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, with Delbert Dawes officiating with full military honors. Leva Chrisman
Leva Bay Griffith Chrisman, 87, formerly of Middletown, died Friday at the LRMC Nursing Center in Leesburg, Fla. She was born in Middletown on Sept. 29, 1912, to Earl and Pearl Byrd Griffith. For 21 years she was the head bookkeeper at the former Middletown Federal Savings & Loan (now Fifth Third Bank). She graduated from Middletown High School in 1930. In 1975, she moved from Middletown to Maryland. In 1979, she moved to Michigan and moved to Leesburg in 1995. She married Floyd Chrisman in 1933. She was a member of the Breiel Boulevard Church of God since 1925, when it was located on Crawford Street. She was well known for her singing, having sung in many churches in Middletown and throughout the state. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association and the Poasttown Grange. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Leva Katherine and Richard A. Gladfelter of Leesburg, Fla.; a half-brother, Dale Griffith of Port Station, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Rebecca Fondow of Tampa, Fla., and Floyd R. Chrisman of Middletown; five great-grandchildren, Veronica and Samantha Fondow of Tampa, Chad Floyd Russell Chrisman, Erica Nicole Lynn Chrisman and Travis Tyler Cody Chrisman, all of Middletown; a great-great-grandson, Ronald William Tyler Fondow of Tampa, and a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Chrisman of Middletown. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd Russell Chrisman in 1952, and a son, Ronald William Chrisman in 1994.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Colp officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Evelyn M. Darnold
Mrs. Evelyn M. Darnold, 86, of Middletown, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born on April 27, 1913, in Middletown, the daughter of Charles A. Pierce and Katherine (Leap) Pierce. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sears, Montgomery Wards and Armco Steel Co. Mrs. Darnold was a member of the First Christian Church for 55 years and a Sunday school teacher for 20 years. She was a member of the Pythian Lodge and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She is survived by three daughters, June (husband Thomas) Gurbick of South Bend, Ind., Dorothy (husband Harold) Wilson of Germantown, and Carol Sue Ralston of Cincinnati; a son, David (wife Jan) Fagan of Amherst, N.H.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles (wife Mildred) Pierce of Middletown; a niece, Patsy (husband Glenn) Doebler of Middletown; and two step-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. Fagan in 1973 and Earnest Darnold in 1983; and a daughter, Dolores "Peachy" Hughes in 1999.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carol Oetzel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Harold L. Davis
Harold Lee Davis, 69, of Fairfield, formerly of St. Clair Township, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Mercy Fairfield Hospital. Born on Jan. 31, 1931, in St. Clair Township, he was the son of Alva Jacob and Florence "G" (Beatty) Davis. He married Dolores Gabbard on Aug. 4, 1955, in Hamilton, Ohio. He attended New Miami School. He served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict in a construction battalion maintenance unit. He worked at the Armco Steel Co. Hamilton Plant for many years, retiring in 1983 at the Middletown Plant after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7670. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and wood worker. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife and best buddy; their only beloved daughter, Vicky Lynn Davis Schiering, and devoted son-in-law, Brian Schiering, and two loving granddaughters, Danielle and Brittani Schiering, all of Fairfield. He is also survived by a sister, Kathryn Gray; a brother, Jacob Davis, and his wife, Florence, all of Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Garland; a sister, Melba Farmer, and two infant sisters.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Webb-Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South D Street, Hamilton, at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 27, with Pastor Don Thomas of the New Miami Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. with VFW services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the I.C.U. staff at Mercy Hospital and Dr. Hoffman for their compassionate care.

John C. Dickens
John Charles Dickens, 82, of Buchanan Dam, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2000, at Kingsland Hills Care Center in Kingsland, Texas. He was born on April 21, 1917, in Thomasville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June Viox Dickens, who died in 1984; his parents, Elizabeth Rickard and John Thomas Dickens; five brothers and a sister; and his stepson, Todd Newkirk. Mr. Dickens is survived by his wife, Kathleen Dickens of Buchanan Dam, Texas; a sister, Onota Slate of Danville, Va.; stepsons Mike Newkirk and his wife, Sandy, and Mark Newkirk and his wife, Anita, and stepdaughters Pam Bryant and her husband, Wesley, and Sue Philpot and her husband, Ronald, all of Franklin Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Charles served eight years in the Marines and four years in the U.S. Army. He fought in the Pacific theater during World War II. He defended Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack on Dec. 7, 1941. He served his country again when he entered the Civil Service and moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he worked as chief of security at Kelly Air Force Base until his retirement.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services were concluded Saturday, March 25, in Buchanan Dam, Texas.

Lillian L. Duff
Mrs. Lillian L. Duff, 79, of Troy, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, March 20, 2000, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Jan. 1, 1921, to the late Clyde Steed and Laura (Smith) Steed. She married the Rev. Dr. Thomas F. Duff, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1993. Mrs. Duff was a longtime member and former secretary at the Troy Baptist Temple. She assisted her husband in his ministry for 33 years. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard M. Duff, and his wife, Joyce Proffitt, of Middletown, the Rev. Thomas M. and Julia Duff of Madison, Ga., and Timothy D. MacDuff of Troy, Ohio; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at Troy Baptist Temple, with the Rev. Thomas M. Duff, the Rev. Troy Todd and Dr. Rick Arrowood officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market St., Troy, Ohio.

Jason S. Dunn
FRANKLIN -- Jason Scott Dunn, infant son of Allen and Aimee (Crockett) Dunn of Franklin, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2000, at his residence. He was born on Feb. 11, 2000, in Fairborn, Ohio. Surviving are his parents; his grandparents, Alden and Linda Dunn of Franklin, William Crockett of Hudson, Fla., and Diana Gaines of Moraine; and brothers, Kalib Crockett and Paul Dunn, both at home.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donald Eldridge
Donald "Jack" Eldridge, 67, of Germantown, passed away Friday, March 24, 2000, at Southview Hospital. He was born Jan. 7, 1933, to the late Alonzo E. and Lorraine (Umpenhour) Eldridge. He was a Korean Conflict Navy veteran, retired from the Dayton Press (formerly McCall's), and was most currently employed by the Valley View School District. He was a member of the Germantown Eagles Lodge 2292. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry Barrett Sr., in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joyce E. (Deeter) Eldridge; three daughters, Bridgett Barrett of Middletown, Barbara and husband Brad Frantom of Centerville and Brenda and husband Larry Stier of Mason; three grandchildren, Kajen and husband Jason Kingsley of Middletown and Ryan and Meghan Stier of Mason; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Marissa Kingsley of Middletown; two brothers, Robert "Bob" and wife Lois Eldridge of Carlisle and Gene and wife Doris Eldridge of Arizona; four sisters, Patricia Barnhart of Germantown, JoAnn and husband Dr. Robert Berger of Miamisburg, Mary and husband Jesus Garcia of California and Karen and husband David Napier of Dayton.

John L. Haddix
John Logan Haddix, 96, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at the Veterans Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Mich. He was born on Nov. 18, 1903, in Wolfe County, Campton, Ky. He was the son of James and Caroline (Pence) Haddix. John moved to Rhinelander, Wis., in 1933. He was a farmer in the Rhinelander area for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1943 during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Vieaux) Haddix; a son, Russell Haddix; four brothers, Bradley Haddix, Kelly Haddix, Raleigh Haddix and Pearl Haddix; and three sisters, Sally Lockard, Ida Pence and Josie Tyra. He is survived by two daughters, Zelma Taylor of Middletown and Naomi Turner of Jackson, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cora Brewer of Middletown and Pruda Allen of Campton, Ky.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation was held Saturday, March 25, at 10 a.m. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. at the Halverson-Suminski Funeral Home in Crandon, Wis., with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Interment was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Rhinelander, Wis.

Kenneth Haney
Kenneth "Bear" Haney, 48, of 6793 Elk Creek Road, Middletown, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. The Middletown native and lifelong resident was born here on July 23, 1951. Mr. Haney was employed as a truck driver for Mecco Inc. for 12 years. His father, Banford Haney, preceded him in death in 1979. He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Brooks Haney of Middletown; a special aunt, Verna Brooks of Middletown; and several cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside interment services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Elk Creek Road, Middletown, with the Rev. Arthur Profitt officiating. There will be no visitation. Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Sandra Henson
Sandra "Sandy" Henson, 49, of Middletown, died Friday, March 24, at her residence. She was born in Butler County on December 7, 1950, to Benjamin and Alice (McIntosh) Johnson. She is survived by her mother, Alice Long of Middletown; a brother, Donald Lambert of Middletown; a sister, Thelma Dennis of Cincinnati; a special niece, Nikki Johnson of Middletown, whom she raised; a number of other nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Johnson, and her adoptive father, Donald Lambert.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, with the Rev. Clyde Robinson of the Yankee Road Pentecostal Church of God in Christ officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Liberty Township.

George Hunter
FRANKLIN -- George Hunter, 50, of 8500 Meadowlark Drive, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at University Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born in Middletown, Ohio, on June 1, 1949, the son of Arnold and Louise (Parker) Hunter. Mr. Hunter retired from General Motors following 30 years of employment as an executive shop chairman. For the past five years, he was International Union representative for District 7. He was an ordained minister of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Grace Gospel Baptist Church in Carlisle. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Glenna (Spencer) Hunter; a son, George Hunter II, and his wife, Tamara, of Carlisle; a daughter, Lorri Price, and husband, Scott, of Carlisle; a sister, Gail Hunter Holt of Franklin; three grandchildren, Kyle and Tiffany Hunter and Brett Price; and an aunt, Joan Parker Perkins of Franklin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Gray officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Millie A. Kelley
Millie Ann (Neal) Kelley, 83, formerly of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the Green Oak Health Care in Xenia, Ohio, where she had resided for five years. She was born on May 28, 1916, in Middletown to William Hardin and Minnie Clay (Williams) Neal. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillcrest Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hardin and Clay (Williams) Neal; a brother, William Neal; and a sister, Ruby E. Banks. Among her survivors are two nieces, Sarah Cooper and Linda Bells, both of Middletown; a nephew, William Neal of Middletown; two great-nieces, Sandy Kincaid of Fairborn, Ohio, and Naomi Fyffe of Jamestown, Ohio; three great-nephews, Randy Kincaid of Hamilton, Kevin Kincaid of Middletown and John Fyffe of Xenia; and a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Roberts of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be Monday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to noon at Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Walter A. Jones Jr.
Walter A. Jones Jr., 79, a longtime resident of Madison Township, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at his home in San Benito, Texas. He was born March 24, 1920, in Hamilton and attended Hamilton City Schools. He served during World War II in the Philippines as an ammunition transporter. He retired from Armco Steel Corp. in 1975, having served 29 years in the combustion engineering department. He had been a resident of Texas for the past 20 years. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Clara (Lawson) Jones; two sisters, Ora Williams and Marie Jones of Harlington, Texas; six daughters, Patricia Hopkins and husband Gary of Ross, Betty Roberts and husband Roy and Loretta Creekbaum, all of Trenton, Jeanne Lynch and husband Bob of Blanchester, Ohio, Terry Glascock and husband Leman of New Braunfels, Texas, and Jennifer Scarbrough and husband Vergil of Medicine Lodge, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. Jones and Myrtle (Feuerbach) Jones, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Millie Ann (Neal) Kelley, 83, formerly of Middletown, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the Green Oak Health Care in Xenia, Ohio, where she resided for five years. Mary C. Madden
Mrs. Mary Christine (Short) Madden, 80, of Middletown, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born on Jan. 22, 1920, in Middletown, and lived her entire life in the community. She retired from Hills Department Store. Mrs. Madden was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. She was also a Pythian Sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Esther (Brate) Short; three brothers, Herb and Edward Short and Orville Short Jr.; and a sister, Betty (Short) Robinson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond E. Madden; a brother, Marvin Short of Miamisburg, Ohio; two sons, William (Lynne) Madden of Miami, Fla., and Charles (Judy) Madden of Monroe, Ohio; a daughter, Betty Madden-Campbell of Middletown; grandchildren, Sue (Randy) Watkins, Michael Griggs, Kenneth (Beth) Campbell, Tim Campbell, Vickie (Scott) Ward, Eric (Billie) Madden, Frank Griggs, Teresa (Jim) McClure, Andrea Madden, Chuck Madden, Chris (Tim) Mcleod, David Madden, John (Cathy) Madden, Brian (Raylene) Wheeler, and Martin (Rachael) Wheeler; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Ferne McCreadie
Mrs. Ferne McCreadie, 79, of Middletown, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Birchwood Care Center. She was born on May 23, 1920, the daughter of Fred Rhoades and Rhoda (Gorsuch) Rhoades. Mrs. McCreadie was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of the church. She is survived by her two daughters, Marianne (husband Gene) Davis of Hamilton and Connie (husband Keith) Back of Liberty Township, Ohio; a son, Tom McCreadie of Liberty Township; two grandchildren, Jennifer (husband Mark) Byrge and Tina (husband Kevin) Stacy, all of Middletown; and two great-grandchildren, Kevin II and Taylor Stacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin McCreadie in 1997, and her parents.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Shirley Annette Allen Pardon, 39, of 53 Beam Drive, Franklin, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Springboro on April 16, 1960. She was a former Springboro resident and attended Springboro schools. For the past three months, she was employed at Digitron in Franklin. She is survived by her parents, Merle and Mary Allen of Lebanon; children, Joshua Lee Grimes, Heather Michelle Grimes and Katherine Annette Grimes, all of Madison, Ala.; a brother, James Allen of Kettering; and a sister, Tonya Graham of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Shimer officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Oretta Smith
Mrs. Oretta Smith, 78, of Fairfield, died Thursday morning, March 23, 2000, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born on Sept. 5, 1921, in Fixer, Ky., the daughter of Edgar Whisman and Ida (Drake) Whisman. She lived in the Middletown area for the past 60 years and had worked at the W.T. Grant Department Store for several years. Mrs. Smith was also a homemaker, devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. She was a longtime member of the Towne Boulevard Church of God. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband since 1939, William Smith; a daughter, Phyllis (husband Robert) Henry; a son, Kenneth Smith; six grandchildren, Cynthia (husband Jay) Goodman, Jamie Rowe, Celeste (husband Tom) Conlin, Brian (wife Julie) Smith, Angie Smith and Jared Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Kristen Goodman, Aaron Goodman, Randy Conlin, Kaitlyn Conlin, Lance Rowe, Drew Smith and Ian Smith; and three sisters, Mildred Lundberg, Mabel Blevins and Geneva "Josie" Blevins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Callie Ballard.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Sara L. Stitzel
CARLISLE -- Mrs. Sara Luella Stitzel, 91, of 9090 Judith St., died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at her residence. She was born in Springboro, Ohio, on Sept. 6, 1908, the daughter of Clint and Lucy (Kesling) Hutt. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Springboro and the Clearcreekers. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Howard Stitzel I in 1974; and a son, David Howard Stitzel II in 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Jane Harris of Dayton; a brother, Ralph Hutt; a sister, Helen Shifflet of Florida; five grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Harris, Sara Marie Harris, William Howard Harris, David Howard Stitzel III and Kimberly Blaire Parades; four step-grandchildren, Mark, Mike, Margaret and Pat Snyder; and two great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

James C. Trimble
CAMDEN -- James C. Trimble, 45, of Camden, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Middletown, Ohio, on May 19, 1954, and lived in this area most of his life. He graduated from Madison High School in 1972. Mr. Trimble was employed as a carrier for the Middletown Post Office where he had worked for 19 years. He was a member of the Poasttown First Church of God and Lincoln Lodge 693 in Middletown. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Pamela M. Trimble; his parents, James R. and Gertrude Trimble of Camden; a daughter, Jacqueline S. Moore of Camden; a son, Jerimiah S. Moore of Camden; a cousin, whom he loved like a brother, Richard Cockerham of Middletown; and many, many well loved relatives and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at the Poasttown First Church of God, 6376 Middletown-Germantown Road, with the Rev. Randy Wallace officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home.

Emma Walker
Mrs. Emma Walker, 87, of Monroe, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2000, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home in Monroe. She was born on March 8, 1913, in Carter County, Ky., and had lived in this area since 1965. She was a homemaker and member of the Life Tabernacle of Lebanon, Ohio. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Nancy Carroll; a son, Johnny George Walker in 1985; a sister, Gladys Wade; a half-sister, Ecie Johnson; two granddaughters, Karen Hall in 1979 and Kimberly Walker in 1993. She leaves her husband of 67 years, Wayne H. Walker Sr.; four children, Grace Pauline (Rev. Edgil) Hall of Venice, Fla., Wayne H. (Wilma) Walker Jr. of Middletown, Audrey Faye (Ralph L.) Jones of Franklin and Larry Shelvin (Katherine) Walker of Trenton; a daughter-in-law, Louella Walker of Middletown; a stepdaughter, Laura Aileen Lewis of Dayton; two sisters, Alma Nipp of Grayson, Ky., and Ida O'Malley of Cleveland, Texas; a brother, Roy Carroll of Mansfield, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
