Clara J. Bailey, 70, of Middletown, formerly of Dayton, passed away Monday, May 15, 2000, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Moraine, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Sherman. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Bishop, and husband, Dee, of Greenville; sons John Sherman, and wife, Candy, of Middletown, Ronald Bailey of Cheyenne, Wyo., Merle William Bailey, and wife, Terry, of Middletown, Thomas Bailey of Bradford, and Kenneth Bailey, and wife, Sharon, of Osgood, Ohio; sister Ruth Bryant, and husband, Denny, of Dayton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Laura W. Barnes
FRANKLIN -- Mrs. Laura W. Barnes, 87, of Franklin, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Sycamore Manor Care in Miamisburg, Ohio. She was born in Jackson County, Ky., on Feb. 11, 1913, the daughter of Henry and Pasha (Pennington) Wilson. Mrs. Barnes was employed with the General Motors Harrison Radiator Division in Moraine for 30 years and retired in 1978. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John D. Ray; her second husband, Carl Barnes; and five sisters, Ollie Davidson, Alice Fuller, Rose Shepherd, Cleo Gay and Elsie Adams. Surviving are a son, Lenwood Ray, and his wife, Wilma, of Franklin; a grandson, Stephen Ray of West Carrollton; several nieces and nephews; and special neighbors, Dewey and Feryl Ely.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee, Ky. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday in Kentucky.

Paige Barnhart
TRENTON - Mrs. Paige Barnhart, 57, of Trenton, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Aug. 1, 1942, to Robert William "R.W." and Iva Mae "Ivy" Blevins. She was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Barnhart was employed as an assembler at Hamilton Stands. She was a member and past president of the Cake Mates Club. She was active in Middfest and had been a volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Blevins; and a stepson, Mark Barnhart. Among her survivors are her husband of 26 years, Tom; a stepson, Michael Barnhart of Middletown; five step-grandchildren; a brother, Duke Blevins of Middletown; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, with Pastor Earl Wilcher officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Verlie "Bud" Beckner
Verlie "Bud" Beckner, 70, of Middletown, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Hoges Store, Va., the son of James L. Beckner and Minnie Buford (Robertson) Beckner. Mr. Beckner was employed by Consolidated Packaging Co. as a diesel mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie McGlone of Middletown and Sandra (husband, Larry) Moore of Kearney, Mo.; two sons, James B. (wife, Ninfa) Beckner of Monroe, Mich., and Victor Ray Beckner of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Angela (Moore) Smith of Kansas City, Mo., Bryan, Ryan and Jamie R. Beckner, all of Middletown, Buddy Moore of Kansas City and Stephen Beckner and Trina Beckner, both of Monroe, Mich.; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan and Evan Smith of Kansas City, Mo., and James Anthony King and Miranda Herd, both of Middletown; two sisters, Clara (husband, Morrell) McCroskey of Pearisburg, Va., and Betty (husband, James) Barnett of Pembroke, Va., and a brother, James (wife, Terri) Beckner of Pearisburg, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katheryn R. Beckner, in 1994; a sister, Sis McCroskey; and his parents.

Charles R. Beiser
Mr. Charles R. Beiser, 69, of St. Clair Township, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at 5:15 a.m. in the emergency room of Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, the son of Clayton and Nellie (Beatty) Beiser. He was a graduate of Wayne Township High School and a lifelong farmer in St. Clair Township. On Nov. 5, 1955, he married Geraldine (Jeri) Sprinkle in Hamilton. He was a past board member and a past president of the Butler County Farm Bureau, a member and past president of the Butler County Landmark Co-op Board, a member of the State Landmark Co-op Board, a past member of the Edgewood School Board, a past board member of the Farmers Home Administration Board, a past member of the Producers Advisory Board and the Soil and Water Conservation Board, a member of the St. Clair Township Zoning Board and the Miltonville Cemetery Board. He is survived by his wife, Jeri; three sons, Steve C. Beiser and wife, Lynette, and Andy D. Beiser and wife, Rita, both of Somerville, and Charles E. Beiser and wife, Lee Anne, of Metamora, Ind.; two daughters, Kathy Hiltbrand and husband, Dave, of Seven Mile, and Karen Kinkbine and husband, Mike, of Hamilton; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a brother, Wilbur C. Beiser and wife, Juanita, of Trenton.

Mary Lucille Carr
Mary Lucille Carr, 88, of Middletown, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at the Otterbein Home in Lebanon. She was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Ezel, Ky., the daughter of Boone Wilson McGuire and Anna (Vest) McGuire. She worked as a bookkeeper for Meeker Plumbing. Mrs. Carr was very active in the First Christian Church and served as a deaconess. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club. Mrs. Carr is survived by a daughter, Janet (husband, Hampton) Ball of Englewood, Ohio; a sister, Georgia McGuire of the Otterbein Home; six grandchildren, Karen Ball of Vincennes, Ind., and Mary Carr, William H. Carr, Susan Saunier, Nancy Mahoney and Anne Fraley, all of Lexington, Ky.; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Joan Carr of Lexington, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Carr, in 1961; a son, William F. Carr; her parents; three brothers and a sister.

Brian J. Cook
Brian James Cook, 16 of Middletown, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, as a result of an auto accident on Trenton-Franklin Road. He was born in Middletown on Aug. 9, 1983 and was a lifelong resident. Brian was a sophomore at Madison High School and a member of the Madison High basketball team. He is survived by his parents, Keith and Pam Cook of Middletown; a twin brother, Brad, and a sister, Traci Cook, both of Middletown; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Roma Cook of Franklin; and maternal grandparents, Harold and Pauline Stamper of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: A visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Madison High School Gymnasium, 1368 Middletown-Eaton Road, Middletown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.

John H. Evans
John H. Evans, 77, of Middletown, passed away at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at his residence. He was born on April 15, 1923, in Middletown, Ohio, and had lived here all of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Evans had worked in maintenance for the city of Middletown for 24 years, retiring in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Mabel (White) Evans; and two brothers, Robert and Orlin Evans. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Juanita A. Evans; two daughters, LuAnn Heckard of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lee Ann Kubesch, and her husband, Joseph, of Fairfield, Ohio; a son, Richard Evans of Michigan; a stepson, Zane Scott McCroskey of Indiana; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Marjorie Warren and Alice Piersall, both of Middletown, Dorothy Hingsbergen, and husband, Firmin, of Hamilton, and Frances Bailey, and husband, Harold, of Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, with the Rev. Tom Ramsey officiating. Rollie Eve
Rollie Eve of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, May 18, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. Rollie's wife of 59 years, Arlene, was by his side at the time of his death. Mr. Eve was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on Aug. 24, 1917. He worked in the trucking industry all of his life. An interstate driver for more than 40 years, Rollie became a driving instructor in his later years, passing on his craft to the next generation of the country's long-haulers and earning the respect of his many peers. Rollie enjoyed fishing, traveling and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rosa Eve; brothers Ernest, Millard and Willie Eve; and a son, Douglas Eve. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Creech Eve; a son, William (Pam) Eve of Yakima, Wash.; daughters Ruth Thomas of Greenville, Ohio, Deborah (Dennis) Price of Perkiomensville, Pa., Deidre (Fred) Dohse of Fairfax, Va., and Peggy (Harold) McGraw of Middletown; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lester and Alfred Eve, also of Middletown. As a member of the Depression-era generation, Mr. Eve, a humble and modest man, labored all of his life to provide for his family, instill his strong work ethics and left this world a better place for those he loved.

Jan J. Franklin
TRENTON - Mrs. Jan J. Franklin, 44, of Trenton, died Thursday at her residence. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Feb. 11, 1956, and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Franklin was employed as an investment adviser for 15 years with Jan J. Franklin and Associates. She was a member of the board of directors of the Humane Association of Butler County and a member of the American Miniature Horse Association. She belonged to the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth A. Jefferies. Survivors include her husband of five years, John Franklin; her mother, Celeste Jefferies of Middletown; a daughter, Sarah E; Franklin of Trenton; two sisters and their husbands, Beth and Tim Farkas and Susan and Terry Snelling, all of Middletown; four nieces, Karen Carroll, Kristi Shetter, Hannah Snelling and Ceara Kelly; two nephews, Eamon Kelly and Christopher Snelling; a great-niece, Allison Carroll; and an uncle, George Jefferies of Cortez, Fla.

Margie A. Fry
LEBANON -- Margie Alice Fry, 84, formerly of Springboro Road, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at the Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Home. She was born on Jan. 11, 1916, in Edenton, Ohio, the daughter of Clifford and Effie (Cramer) Johnson. She was employed by the Otterbein Home for 25 years as a social worker, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Springboro, Farm Bureau and Farmers Club, church groups, Flower Club and Ladies Aide Society. Mrs. Fry taught piano and violin lessons and was active in the Middletown Symphony Orchestra. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Earl C. Fry; a son, David L. Fry of Springboro; a daughter, Carol J. Ballard of Lebanon; a sister, Leola Routt of Middletown; and grandchildren Christopher R. Ballard and Amy E. Evans.

Frank H. Huelsbeck
HAMILTON -- Mr. Frank Huelsbeck, 74, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at 11:50 a.m. in the emergency room at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Heinrich and Catherine (Stein) Huelsbeck. He was a 1943 graduate of Middletown High School and attended the University of Cincinnati for three years. Mr. Huelsbeck was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from Nov. 12, 1943, to May 4, 1946. He married Janice Storck on May 20, 1950, in Middletown. He was employed as a graphic engineer for Jefferson Smurfitt Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Janice; a daughter, Brenda Murphy, and husband, Pat; a son, Mark Huelsbeck, and wife, Katherine, all of Hamilton; a granddaughter, Alyssa Murphy; and a sister, Henrietta Witt, and husband, Ernest, of Germantown, Ohio.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N.W. Washington Blvd., Hamilton, with the Rev. Timothy Bunch officiating. Donald W. Jackson
Donald W. Jackson, 71, of 701 17th Ave., died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center. He was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Dec. 9, 1928, and served in the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Olivia Hawkins Jackson. Mr. Jackson is survived by two daughters, Donna and Kathy Jackson of Middletown; twin grandsons, Shadrack Abednego and Meshack Abednego Jackson, both of Middletown; a sister, Dorothy Broadnax of Anderson, Ind.; four brothers, Dallas (Sheila) Jackson Jr. and William (Carrie) Jackson Sr., both of Columbus, Ohio, and Harold (Phoebe) and Charles (Doris) Jackson, both of Middletown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ree Moon
FRANKLIN -- Mrs. Ree Moon, 62, of Franklin, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at her residence. She was born in Jeffersonville, Ind., on Jan. 19, 1938, to the late Arthur and Nina Hoehn and lived in this area for 41 years. Before retiring in 1998, Mrs. Moon had worked as an executive secretary at Champion Paper Co. for 28 years. She had also been a receptionist at Cedar Village Retirement Home. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jim Moon; and a brother, Charles Hoehn, and his wife, Judy, of Jeffersonville, Ind.
ARRANGEMENTS: Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Thomas M. Nemcic
FRANKLIN - Thomas Michael "Herman" Nemcic, 55, of 290 Shady Lane, passed away Friday, May 19, 2000, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on Jan. 24, 1945 in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Frank and Eileen (Cornele) Nemcic. Mr. Nemcic was employed with EGG in Miamisburg for 30 years where he retired. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was past commander for the American Legion in Franklin, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Middletown, and a former Pee Wee Football coach for the Franklin American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents. Among his survivors are a brother, Frank Williams, and his wife, Sandy Nemcic, of Franklin; special nephew chief master sergeant Mike Nemcic of San Antonio, Texas; a special niece, Melissa Hust of Kentucky; and a special friend and co-worker, Arlene Roy.

Peggy L. Nixon
LEBANON -- Mrs. Peggy Louise (Short) Nixon, 74, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at her residence. She was born on Oct. 31, 1925, in Middletown, Ohio, to Jess and Myrtle (Bartley) Short. She was a 1944 graduate of Middletown High School. Mrs. Nixon was self-employed, operating both Nixon Bonding Agency and Nixon Rentals. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mahlon Nixon in 1988; twin sister Betty Osborne, and sister, Juanita Warner. Survivors include two sons, Todd Neal Nixon of North Vernon, Ind., and Jay Scott Nixon of Lebanon; two daughters, Candace Lynne Nixon and Stephanie Kay Nixon, both of Lebanon; a sister, Pat Deaton of Middletown; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation is today, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., with funeral services Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m., at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon, with the Rev. Gary Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.

Edna L. Pollard
Edna L. Pollard, 89, who died Monday evening, May 15, 2000, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community, Middletown, was born in Glendale, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Boing) Suttman. She graduated from Glendale High School where she was a star player on the girls school basketball team and later completed studies in commercial art and design at a Cincinnati art institution. Mrs. Pollard worked for many years as an embroidery pattern designer for The Maginni Co., a downtown Cincinnati linen importer, and later worked as co-owner and co-manager, along with her late husband, George, of Pollard's Delicatessen and Pollard's Restaurant in Glendale for some 30 years. She and her husband, who died six years ago, were married on March 19, 1933. She had lived in Phoenix, Ariz., for the past 25 years, before moving to Middletown last month after being stricken at her home in Phoenix. While residing in Phoenix, she became known as a political activist, championing several issues that impacted the public. She was active as well in the Democratic party in that city. She was a frequent recipient of blue ribbons and other top awards for her quilting, embroidery, textile and apparel designs and needlework at the Arizona State Fair and Maricopa County Fair. For several years she also wrote regular columns on needlework, craftwork and related subjects for two national magazines, The Work Basket and Popular Needlework. Survivors include a son, Ted Pollard of Middletown and daughter-in-law, Connie; a sister, Ida Suttman of Mount Healthy, Ohio; two grandsons, Michael and David and a granddaughter, Amy, all of Middletown; a great-granddaughter, Kelsey Gardner of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews, all of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jared Pollard.
ARRANGEMENTS: Arrangements are by the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. There will be no services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Glendale.

James W. Reed
James W. Reed, 82, of Middletown, died Sunday morning, May 21, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born on May 7, 1918, in Middletown, the son of Wallace W. Reed and Charlotte M. (Fultz) Reed. He was a graduate of Middletown High School, class of 1937. Mr. Reed worked for Monsanto Research Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha Jean (Burnett) Reed; a daughter, Charlotte M. (husband Rodney E.) Riner of Hamilton; a granddaughter, Julie M. Riner of Hamilton (her fianc鬠Andrew W. Nitz); a grandson, Eric R. Riner of Hamilton; and many cousins and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
ARRANGEMENTS: A prayer will be given by the Rev. Susan Jones-Thompson at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodside Cemetery Cremation Facility. There will be no visitation.

Beaulah Sheldon
Beaulah Sheldon, 86, of Middletown, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 20, 1914, in Connersville, Tenn., the daughter of Milton Wantz and Florence Margaret (Grauser) Wantz. She worked as a court clerk for Montgomery County Criminal Courts until retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Eastern Star and loved to play cards and bingo. Mrs. Sheldon is survived by her son, Bruce (wife, Gwen) Sheldon of Middletown, and two grandchildren, Bruce Douglas Sheldon of Fort Worth, Texas, and Beverly Jo Sheldon of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Sheldon, in 1973 and a daughter, Vivian Sheldon Whipp, in 1997.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Gray officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery in Donnellsville, Ohio.

Seymour H. Spencer
Seymour H. "Spence" Spencer, 81, of Franklin, and formerly of Middletown, passed away Monday, May 15, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Breathitt County, Ky., on Nov. 5, 1918, and lived in this area for more than 45 years. He was a longtime resident of Sutphin Street in Middletown. Mr. Spencer was an Army veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed as a grade crew foreman at Triasco, Don Ciscel, Follmer and S&K Construction. He was a former member of the Morrow Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oza (Sizemore) Spencer in 1996; and an infant son, Seymour H. Spencer Jr. Surviving are a son, Bill Spencer, and his wife, Barbara, of West Carrollton; four daughters, Wilma Chapley, and her husband, Ricky, of Lexington, Ky., Betty Franz, and her husband, Chuck, of Lebanon, Sandy Spencer of Franklin and Judy Burgess, and husband, Gary, of Camden; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Spencer of Middletown and Ervin Spencer of Kentucky; and two sisters, Margaret Bowles and Aggie Harrison, both of Sand Gap, Ky.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Juanita Spicer
Mrs. Juanita Spicer, 67, of 1506 Forest Ave.., died Monday, May 15, 2000, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 30, 1932, in Jeff, Ky., the daughter of Charlie Gross and Lula (Chaney) Gross. Mrs. Spicer has been in the Middletown area since 1954. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Spicer; a son, Lloyd M. (wife Teresa) Spicer of Middletown; two grandsons, Michael Wayne Spicer and Justin Spicer, both of Middletown; and a sister, Vesta Moore of Jackson, Ky. Her parents, a brother and a sister, preceded her in death.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas B. Mellott officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elk Creek Cemetery.

A. Scott Taulbee
A. Scott Taulbee, 36, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away suddenly at Middletown Regional Hospital Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2000. He was born on Nov. 29, 1963, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Hagan and Nancy (Ledford) Taulbee. He was educated in the Madison local schools. On July 1, 1995, in Ross, Ohio, he married Lois Brown. Mr. Taulbee was employed as an auto body technician and enjoyed car shows and auto racing. He is survived by his wife, Lois Taulbee of Middletown; two children, Tawni and Adam Taulbee of Middletown; his mother, Nancy Taulbee Woodin, and her husband, John, of Ross; his grandmother, Willie Ledford of Ross; three brothers, Mark (Shannon) Taulbee of Fayetteville, N.C., Kelly (Koren) Taulbee of Hamilton and Keith (Tracy) Taulbee of West Chester; two stepbrothers, Jeff (Joy) Woodin and Jerry Woodin, both of Portland, Ore.; his uncle, Wayne Ledford of Millville; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Wells, and her husband, Orbie, of Middletown; four sisters-in-law, Penny Moore, Tammy (Dennis) Gibbs, and Thelma (Scott) Mobley, all of Middletown, and Teresa (Tom) Pennington of Hamilton; special friends, Terry and Tank; and many other loving relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Hagan Taulbee, and his father-in-law, Edward Brown.

Sam Tuttle
FRANKLIN -- Sam Tuttle, 79, of Franklin, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Veterans Hospital in Dayton. He was born in Garner, Ky., on May 10, 1921, the son of Isom and Susie (Slone) Tuttle. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Tuttle belonged to the United Baptist Church. He was converted in 1985 and lived his life for God and rejoiced in his love and mercy. He was employed for 32 years at American Aggregates, retiring in 1984. Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Steve, in 1969; and four brothers and two sisters; and two great-grandchildren, Antonio and Kortney. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Lorna; two sons, Dennis Tuttle, and his wife, Debbie, and Paul Tuttle, and his wife, Brenda, all of Franklin; a sister, Nealie Lynch, and brother-in-law, Bill Lynch, of Franklin; six grandchildren, James, Robby, Lesa, Natasha, Josh and Matthew; and five great-grandchildren, Mike, Amber, Katie, Carrissa "Stevie," and Konnor.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Revs. Curtis Ritchie and Doug Tuttle officiating. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery in West Chester. Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leontine Watson
Mrs. Leontine "Tiny Couch" Watson, 73, of Earlysville, Va., passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000. She was born in Franklin, Ohio, on May 30, 1926, the daughter of Clifford and Elsie Couch. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Vernon Couch; a granddaughter Tiffany Da Proza; and a brother-in-law, Alonzo Lanier. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, James D. Watson; three daughters, Narcica Capone and Cynthia Haas, both of Franklin, and Teresa Da Proza of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Inez Lanier of Monroe, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kenneth Raleigh, Melanie Raleigh South, Kym Barry and Kevin DaProza; five great-grandchildren, Tarah, Hailey, Dylan, Jacob and Zoe; two nieces, Sally Brown and Judy Dellecave; and a nephew, Donald Lanier. She fought a long courageous battle, never faltering. She was truly a special rose in the garden of life. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family.
