John R. Ramsey
John R. Ramsey, age 42, passed away June 2, 1998. Born in Ravenna, he attended the Country Chapel, John touched the lives of many people and he was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by brother, Darrell K.; sister, Brenda Askew; a stepmother; four step-siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Sunday 2 p.m. at the Country Chapel, 14390 Hametown Road, Doylestown. Pastor Jim Easterling officiating. Dorothy Irene Rauber
Dorothy Irene Rauber, 93, of Massillon, died June 4, 1998, at Kingston of Ashland, Ohio, after a brief illness. She was born in Massillon, Ohio, and was a lifetime resident. She retired from the Massillon Board of Education as a secretary with 15 years service, and had previously worked for attorney Paul E. Brown. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, charter member and past president of the Massillon Lady Lions, Wally Byam Caravan Club International--Akron Unit, and A.A.R.P. She was preceded in death by husband, Harold R. (Jake) Rauber, on Oct. 6, 1974; parents, Joseph E. and Nora (White) Yocum; and brother, George Elroy Yocum. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Robert M. (Sally) Way of Massillon, and Mrs. Glenn T. (Suzanne) Carter of Ashland; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. The funeral will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Massillon at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, with Rev. John W. Mahaffey and Rev. Paul R. Crooks officiating. Rose M. Reiber, 71, of Coventry Township, passed away June 8, 1998. Rose was born in Willard, Ohio, on May 21, 1927, living most of her life in the Akron area. Preceded in death by grandson, Shannon Reiber, she is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ray R. Reiber Sr.; sons, Ray R. Reiber Jr. and Brian R. (Irene) Reiber, all of Coventry Township; daughters, Maryanne Cool of Florida, and Nancy (Jack) Ferrell of Manchester; brother, Carl (Frances) Novak of Manchester; sister, Ann Crosley of Washington; grandchildren, Dawn, Jody, Michelle, Wendy, and Stacey. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 10, 1998, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Akron Chapel, 1446 S. Main St. Cremation to follow. (Schermeser, Akron Chapel, 724-9351.)

Frank E. Reeves Jr.
Frank E. Reeves Jr., 67, of Akron, passed away June 7, 1998. A lifetime resident of the area, he had been employed as an upholsterer, and served with the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria E. Reeves, and is survived by his son, Frank Reeves of Akron; daughter, Isabel (Lee) Framer of Copley; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, and Stephanie Framer; mother, Wanda Booth; sister, Alene (Bud) Murphy, all of Akron; nieces and nephews. Funeral services at 7 TONIGHT at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, with Pastor David Hohlbaugh officiating. David D. Roberge Jr., 85, of west Akron, passed away June 6, 1998, at his home. David was a retired service engineer with G.E., and had been very active with the Widowed Person's Service, a part of A.A.R.P. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Genevieve I. Roberge; and great-granddaughter, Emily Grace Antal of Pittsburgh, he is survived by children, David G. Roberge of Pittsburgh, Suzanne C. Antal of Akron, and Richard D. Roberge of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Victoria L. Lynch (Antal), wife of J. Adam Lynch of Bossier City, La., Michael J. Antal, husband of Nora, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and David M. Roberge of Minneapolis, Minn.; great-grandson, Jon Michael Lynch of Bossier City, La. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Hazel Pearl Roe
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Hazel Pearl Roe, 93, passed away May 29, 1998. Mrs. Roe was born in Brookings County, S. D., and resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past six years, moving there from the Barberton and Kenmore areas, where she had been active in the First United Methodist Church of Barberton. She had been employed by the A. Polsky department store. Preceded in death by husband, Fred W. Roe, she is survived by son, John of Burke, Va.; grandsons, Travis and Warren of Burke, Va.; and sister, Mary Clarin of Barberton. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at the First United Methodist Church of Akron, 263 E. Mill St., Akron 44308, with Rev. D. Lynn Snider officiating. Leda M. Ross
Leda M. Ross, age 69, of Waynesburg, passed away suddenly Sunday morning in the residence. She was born in East Canton and resided in Waynesburg over 50 years. She retired in 1981 from the U.S. Ceramic Tile Company in East Sparta, after over 25 years service, where she was a tile setter. Mrs. Ross was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Auxiliary of Sandy Valley American Legion Post No. 432, both in Waynesburg. Survived by her husband, Joseph Ross, with whom she would have celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 28th; her step-mother, Mrs. Ada Pellegrini; and one sister, Mrs. Alex (Rita) Perea, both of Waynesburg; one brother, Delfo Pellegrini of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
