Lillis L. Abrams
Lillis L. Abrams, 89, passed away March 28, 1998. She was born Dec. 4, 1908. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and son, Jack, she is survived by son, Ray; daughter-in-law, Clara; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services have been scheduled. She fought a good fight and will be sadly missed by all. (CREMATION SOCIETY OF OHIO, 535-1012.)

Virginia B. Greist Adlesic
STOW -- Virginia B. Greist Adlesic, 86, went home to the Lord on May 20, 1998. Born in Ottumwa, Iowa, she was a lifetime area resident and founded the Blossom Shop Candies in the late 1940s, and managed it until her retirement in 1975. Preceded in death by husbands, Donald Greist, in 1967, and Rudy Adlesic, in 1993; and by sisters, Marjorie Elgin, in 1980 and Madonna Ott, in 1990, she is survived by nephew, Jeff Ott of Stow; great-niece, Tiffany Ott of Cuyahoga Falls; brother-in-law, Nelson Ott of Silver Lake; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Ardith Adlesic of Cuyahoga Falls, Dick and Evelyn Stotler of Dayton, Raymond Adlesic of Hockessin, Del.; and cousins, Milt and Pauline Bates, Don and Maxine Scherer, all of Eldon, Iowa. Friends may call Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Redmon Funeral Home, where Rev. Marlin Skifstad will conduct services Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Ann Costello Adley
Ann Costello Adley, 88, went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 1998, after a long illness. Born in Pulaski County, Ind., she lived in the Akron area most of her life. Mrs. Adley retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 1969 after 40 years of service. She was one of the founding members of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, a member of the Silver Stars, and an original member of the Wingfoot Girls Club at Goodyear. Preceded in death by her first husband, James Costello; second husband, Julius ``Red'' Adley; four sisters, and two brothers, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia Costello of Suffield; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jon Sample of Green; grandchildren, Jon (Jennifer), Matthew (Rebecca), and Mark; and great-grandchildren, Janeen, Scot, and Robert. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd., Akron, with Father David Halaiko officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Lucille E. Anderson
Lucille E. Anderson, 78, passed away Monday, March 16, 1998, in Akron. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 20, 1998, at the ADAMS MASON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 791 E. Market St., where friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until service time; Rev. Ed Holland will conduct the service. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. William David See Anderson
William David See Anderson died Feb. 12, 1998, in Essex, Conn. Mr. Anderson was born in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 15, 1907. He attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., and Yale University, where he graduated in the class of 1930. During World War II, the Godfrey L. Cabot Co. of Boston appointed him as their representative in Akron. Then, in 1953, with Mr. Hal Petit Headley, he formed the Summit Chemical Co., agents of chemicals and plastics for the rubber company. In 1983, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson moved to Essex to live. Mr. Anderson continued his interests in early American silver and 18th-century mourning rings. Also, he served as alumni representative for the Yale Class of 1930. He was a lifelong Yale football supporter, golfer, fisherman, bridge enthusiast, a gentle man, a beloved father and grandfather; the above pursuits and his family were his life. He is survived by his wife, Clara Groves Anderson; son, David Groves Anderson; daughter, Deborah France Anderson; and five grandchildren. A second son, Peter Clinton Anderson, predeceased his father. Interment will be at the family cemetery in Hinsdale, Ill.

Freyda Androsky (nee Azar)
Freyda Androsky (nee Azar), 69, of Fairlawn, died Friday morning, March 27, 1998. Mrs. Androsky was born in Akron and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Joseph Melkite Church and the Senior Citizens. Preceded in death by husband, Albert; and son, Albert Jr., she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Michael Belofi, Mary Jo and Robert Slabaugh, and Barbara and Ed Caruso; grandchildren, Michael P. Belofi, Jeremy T. Androsky, Kelly M. Abel, Bobby Slabaugh, Abbey Sanderfer, Julie Caruso, and Joseph Caruso; sisters, Judy Thomas, Bernice Azar, and Dorothy Valenza; brothers, Fred and Clarence Azar; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. Calling hours Sunday, 3 to 8 p.m., at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Fairlawn Chapel, 39 S. Miller Rd., with 7 p.m. Trisagion service. A service of the departed will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church, Fr. Joseph (Irenaios), Thomas BSO, officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Anthony A. Arconti
Anthony A. Arconti, 87, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Monday, March 16, 1998. Mr. Arconti was born in Sicily, Italy, on Aug. 31, 1910, and had been an Akron resident most of his life. He retired in 1970 as an iron worker, and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel. Preceded in death by his wife, Frances, he is survived by his son, Thomas B. Arconti of Newport Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Michelle and Michael; great-granddaughter, Sabrina of Santa Barbara, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Catherine Limosano, Theresa Testa, Mary Ann Monk, and Mary Ferrente; brothers-in-law, Lee Monk and Ben Ferrente; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Arconti. There are also surviving nieces, nephews and cousins on the Arconti side. Mass of Christian Burial will be TODAY, 9 a.m., at Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Danielle M. Augustus
Danielle M. Augustus, beloved daughter of Sandra (nee Kowalyk) Mihalik (David) and David Augustus; granddaughter of Jeannette Kowalyk and the late Walter; stepgranddaughter of Steve and Jeanne Mihalik; niece of Sue and Joe Jelar; died Sunday, March 22, 1998. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, 13030 Madison Ave., Lakewood (meet at church).
