Katherine Lambes
Katherine Lambes, 78, went home to be with the Lord and meet her husband on March 23, 1998. Mrs. Lambes was born in Indiana, Pa., living in the Akron area since 1942. She was a member of Cottage Grove Church of the Nazarene and had been employed by Superior Novelty Match Co. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley J. Lambes; husband of 48 years, Roy Earl; and grandson, Howard E. Marks Jr. She is survived by son, Earl (Shirley) Lambes; daughter, Patricia (Earl) Martindill; sisters, Ellen Dias, Millie Brown, and Pauline (Paul) Ake; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren; and good friends, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Eastin. Services will be at the Cottage Grove Church of the Nazarene, 784 Killian Rd., Friday, March 27, 1998, at 11 a.m., Pastors Dorothy Carpenter and Ray Parsons officiating. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery. Albert N. LeDonne
STOW -- Albert N. LeDonne, 83, died Thursday, March 26, 1998. Born in Ateleta, Italy, he moved to the United States in 1925, and retired from the Ford Motor Co. in 1978. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Sugar Mill Woods Club. Preceded in death by wife, Yolanda, in 1997, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and James Bendula of Stow; son and daughter-in-law, Al and Beverly LeDonne of LasVegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael LeDonne of Piney Point, Md. Joyce E. Lehnhardt (nee Travagliante)
GRANGER TWP. -- Joyce E. Lehnhardt (nee Travagliante), 50, of Granger Township, died March 26, 1998, at her residence. Born in Cleveland, she was a self-employed artist. Preceded in death by her father, Sam, she is survived by her husband, Douglas of Granger Township, whom she married July 13, 1973; son and daughter-in-law, Kurt (Tina) Nerva of Detroit, Mich.; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene (Craig) Colbert of Cincinnati; daughter, Michelle Lehnhardt of Granger; mother, Stella Travagliante of Independence; brothers, Blase Manzo of Solon and David Travagliante of Independence; grandchildren, Joseph, Shana, Zachary, Luke, and Sam. Services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Carlson, a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Rd. Michael T. Leonard
Michael T. Leonard, 19, of Patterson Avenue, Akron, died Monday at his home. He was born Aug. 4, 1978, in Newark, Calif., to Daniel and Sharron (Bohannon) Leonard. He worked in the quality control department for a computer company in California. Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Sharron Leonard of Akron; and brother, Danny Leonard of Newark, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Daisy M. Lewis
Daisy M. Lewis, 68, of Coventry Township, died March 21, 1998, after a long illness. She was born in Adolph, W. Va., and lived in the Akron area since 1955. She had worked at the Firestone Park Dental Lab for 17 years. Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by grandson, Bryan Nowak; brothers, Orvil, Philmore, Virgil, Arnold, Thurman, and Chester; sisters, Ruby Lambert, Bessie Lambert, Clarcy Garrison. She is survived by loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Glen E.; daughter, Christine (Richard) Nowak of Clinton; granddaughter, Kimberly Nowak; mother-in-law, Juanita Lewis; and many other relatives and friends. Lillian Marie Lewton
Lillian Marie Lewton, 81, passed away March 18, 1998. Mrs. Lewton was born in Upper Glade, W. Va., and was a resident of the Akron area most of her life. She had worked as a bartender at the Carovillese Club, was a homemaker and, during World War II, had worked at B. F. Goodrich. She was a former member of the Model A Club, enjoyed camping, and was a very easygoing and generous person. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Lewton; and daughter, Charlotte Eddy, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandra Cool of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Clifford Given of Lakeland, Fla. Mary Jane Lipford
Mary Jane Lipford, 89, passed away March 22, 1998, at Manor Care of Barberton. She was born in New Concord, Ky., and had lived in the Akron area since 1925. Mrs. Lipford was a charter member of Akron Baptist Temple, and a member of Canal Fulton O.E.S. 108, where she was a Past Worthy Matron. Preceded in death by husband, H. T. ``Shorty''; daughter, Hildra Stark; and grandson, Daniel Stewart, she is survived by daughter, Barbara (Edmond) DiSanza of Stow; son-in-law, Lew Stark of Manchester; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Emma Morris of Akron. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Akron Baptist Temple, 2324 Manchester Rd., with Dr. Charles Billington officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Peter Lisko
Peter Lisko, 79, of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., formerly of Akron, died March 26, 1998, in Florida. Peter was a lifelong resident of the Akron area prior to moving to Florida after retirement. He retired from Cleveland Trust in 1980 after 25 years service. He was a lifelong member of the Firestone Park Lutheran Church. He is survived by cousins, Anna Tomecek and son of Astoria, N. Y., Anna Marecek and family of Jamesburg, N. J.; dear friend, Terry Brandli of Melbourne, Fla. Funeral services Monday, 11 a.m., at the Firestone Park Lutheran Church, Pastor Andrew Mazak officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Jaret Llewellyn, infant son of Dane D. and Lisa R. (Quinn) Llewellyn of Hartville, passed away early Wednesday morning. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Joseph and Esther Quinn, and James and Eliza Greenwell. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brother, Dane Thomas Llewellyn of the home; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Jane Quinn of Uniontown; paternal grandparents, David and Chris Llewellyn of North Canton; paternal great-grandparents, Byron and Esther Llewellyn of North Canton, Robert and Fae Shoemaker of Richardson, Texas; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A private family funeral service will be held TODAY at 10:30 a.m. at the ROSSI FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Don Rossire officiating. Interment will be at North Canton Cemetery. Vinnie L. Locke, 61, passed away suddenly March 19, 1998 in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Verbena, Al. she had lived in the Ravenna community for 40 years. She had been employed as a cook for Robinson Memorial Hospital for 18 years retiring in 1992. She was a member of New Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Choir Director and President Church Catering. She is survived by sons, William T. (Lisa) Locke Jr., Akron, James Locke of Ravenna, Ohio; daughter, Lenabeth Locke, Akron; mother, Elizabeth Stephens, Montgomery, Al.; brothers, Alvin, Joe, Clarence, Sammie Lee and Cranston Stephens; sister, Shirley Jean Hall, all of Alabama; aunts, Inez Mims and Annie Ruth Cooper, both of Ravenna, Ohio; six grandchildren; special cousins, John Mims, Fred Cooper Jr. and Terry Cooper; a host of other relatives and friends.
