Inez M. Refi
Inez M. Refi, 77, was received into the arms of the Lord on May 3, 1998. Born in Akron, she had been a resident of Tallmadge for 46 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallmadge. She was a mother and a housewife, and had many cherished friends. Mrs. Refi is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughters, Cynthia Winters of Tucson, Ariz., Vickie Chance of Akron; son, Clyde Votaw of Akron; daughters, Roxann Votaw of Roanoke, Va., Barbara Refi of Akron, Kathy Schoonover of Suffield; son, Joseph P. Refi Jr. of St. Charles, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Battenfield of Kent; and stepbrother, Paul DiMascio of Cuyahoga Falls. Services will be held at 11 a.m. THURSDAY at the First Baptist Church of Tallmadge, 848 Southeast Ave., with Pastor David Henry officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Billow TALLMADGE Chapel, 17 Southwest Ave., 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. WEDNESDAY. Hazel Reynolds
Hazel Reynolds, 71, was called from this earthly life on May 11, 1998, at Akron City Hospital. Born a resident of Kentucky, she had lived a number of years in the Akron community, where she was a foster parent for the Children Services Board. To mourn her passing, she leaves sons, Willie (Vera) Anderson, Leonard (Joann) Anderson, Eric (Deedee) Reynolds, Kevin and Dion Reynolds; daughters, Varnetta (James) Sibley and Lawanna Reynolds; sister, Ann Lee Garnett; uncle, Welby (Nanny) Broaddus; special granddaughters, LaTonya Anderson and Tracy Sibley; special great-grandchildren, Trace-shun Sibley and Takisha Sibley; 26 other grandchildren, 15 other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at Turner & Rhoden Memorial Home Chapel, 1101 Palmetto Ave., where friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service, Rev. John P. Hosea officiating. Richard D. Reynolds
WADSWORTH -- Richard D. Reynolds, 58, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at the Hospice Care Center. Mr. Reynolds was born in Coshocton and resided in Wadsworth most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis and a member of Wadsworth First Christian Church. Mr. Reynolds was an avid Tribe fan and enjoyed music and sports. He was a machine operator at Spiral International and was previously employed at ConFlo in Wadsworth for 23 years. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Reynolds is survived by wife, Mary Ann (nee Houston); sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Mugsy of Columbus, and Jeff and Tara of Wadsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Jim Caton of Columbus; grandchildren, Cody, Jennifer, Carmen, Jamie and Tess; mother, Ann Reynolds of Wadsworth; sisters, Pat Eby of Wadsworth and Ellie Cirillo of Akron. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Pastor Leslie F. Critchfield will be officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetary. Karolyn K. Ritter
Karolyn K. Ritter, 55, died May 13, 1998. Ms. Ritter was born in Akron and was a life resident. She was a member of the M. S. Society, and was a homemaker. Preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and John Hayward of Stow; grandsons, John and Marcus; father, Thomas Riffle of Cuyahoga Falls; and brother, Larry Riffle of Texas. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. MONDAY at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Doylestown. There are no calling hours. (Billow FALLS Chapel, 867-4141.)

Francis ``Frank'' Ritzinger
KENT -- Francis ``Frank'' Ritzinger, 62, of Valleyview Street, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at Hospice Care Center in Copley Township. He was born June 10, 1935, in Jersey City, N. J., to Bernard Eugene and Florence Catherine (Cowan) Ritzinger. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, serving from 1953 to 1961. He was a journalist for many years before moving to Kent, where he completed his Bachelor's degree in journalism and his master's in political science at Kent State University. He was a faculty member from 1971 to 1981 at the Kent State University School of Journalism and the advisor for the Daily Kent Stater. He then was director of public relations for the International Chemical Workers Union in Akron until his retirement in January 1997. Survivors include his wife, whom he married in 1981, Susan (Fitzgerald); sons, Gregory (Deborah) of Cuyahoga Falls and Christopher (Sherry) of Kent; daughters, Karla (Jerry) Jones of Folsom, Calif., Victoria (Kurt Schlicker) Ritzinger of Lompoc, Calif., Lucille Lohr of Kent, and Heidi Lohr of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; brothers, Gene (Joan) of Seattle, Wash., and Gerald (Joan) of Pine Bush, N. Y.; and sister, Grace (Jack) McDevitt of North Bergen, N. J. Calling hours will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. John W. ``Jim'' Roberts, 83, died Monday, April 27, 1998. Genevieve J. Roman (nee Gajdzinski)
Genevieve J. Roman (nee Gajdzinski), 76, was the beloved wife for 55 years of Stanley L.; loving mother of Judith L. and Larry Roman; beloved grandmother of Nicole and Kevin Roman; dearest sister of Sr. Mary Charitas of Indiana and the following deceased, Mary Kralic, Berniece Furlan Steve, and Stanley Gajdzinski; and dear aunt. Funeral services at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 1998, at Golubski Funeral Home, 5986 Ridge Rd., Parma. Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Borrameo Church. Beulah Rones
Beulah Mae Rones, 68, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 1998, at Akron General Medical Center, after a short illness. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she lived in this community for 45 years. Beulah is survived by sons, Sam McGruder of Sumpter, S. C., Clyde Rones Jr., Murray A. Rones, Bernard L. Rones, all of Akron; daughters, Thelma Ford, Juanita Watson-Sheppard, Selisa L. Rackley, all of Akron; sisters, Bertha Flemming, Ella Mae Sellers, both of Cleveland, Maidie Smith of Akron; beloved friends of Bisson Avenue; 26 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, with Reverend Durwood Lockett officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Otto George Rosacker
Otto George Rosacker, 98, born in Ogden, Iowa, on Feb. 17, 1900, died May 13, 1998. He resided in Sharon, Pa., for 45 years before moving to Cuyahoga Falls after his retirement. Otto was an electrical engineer for Westinghouse Corp. after graduating from Iowa State University in 1922. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ-RLDS and taught church school classes there for many years. He also served as congregational treasurer. He was a member of SWEA. Otto was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mildred, and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Sheri Higgins. Otto is survived by his children and families, Dona and Dennis Cunningham of Cuyahoga Falls, George and June Rosacker of Villa Park, Calif.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Louise Dohms of Ogden, Iowa. Otto has received special, loving care the past 22 months at Traditions Nursing Home. There will be no calling hours. Eilean ``Peg'' Ross (nee Shannon)
BARBERTON -- Eilean ``Peg'' Ross, 77, passed away May 1, 1998, in Barberton. She is survived by husband, Francis B. ``Lanny'' Ross; sons and daughters, Jeff and Donna Zema of North Carolina, April (Ross) and Doug Talley, Jill (Ross) and Richard Hoover, Robin (Ross) and George Muscato of New York, Sam and Diane Ross, and Debbie (Ross) and Denny Heflin; brothers, Dean and Fred Shannon; sister, Hazel McLean; 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, 5 p.m., at the Cox Funeral Home (222 Norton Ave.), Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., prior to the service. Dorothy P. ``Dutch'' Rudolph
AKRON/WADSWORTH -- Dorothy P. ``Dutch'' Rudolph, 71, died Monday, May 4, 1998, at the Hospice Care Center. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Miss Rudolph resided in Wadsworth 15 years, previously residing in Akron. She was an elementary teacher at St. Sebastian Parochial School in Akron for 15 years, retiring in 1983. Miss Rudolph is survived by brother and sister-in-law, John and Dorothy Rudolph of Wadsworth; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Simon and Juliet Rudolph; sisters, Miriam McGregor, Juliet O'Neil and Katherine Cook; and niece, Colleen Cook. Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth, In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333; or Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, 260 Broad St., Wadsworth 44281.
