Ronald Charleston Riddle
Ronald Charleston Riddle, 59, of Londonderry, passed from this life Tuesday morning, Apr. 18, 2006 at his residence. He was born July 13, 1946 in Hocking County, the son of Clint and Elva (Thompson) Riddle. On June 10, 1975 he married Patricia A. Elliott, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Dollie A. (Charlie) Poling, South Perry, OH and Mary A. (Doug) Auton, Lenoir, NC, grandchildren, Eric Riddle, Ricky Baldwin, Steven Auton and Ronald C. Riddle, III, sisters, Thelma Elkins, Laurelville and Donna Killman and her companion, Mickey Thibodeaux, Orange, TX, a brother, Ivan Riddle, Laurelville, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews including special nephews, Billy Killman and Doyle Riddle and a special friend, Larry Hertenstein, Chillicothe. His parents, a son, Ronald C. Riddle, Jr., a sister and 6 brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Riddle had been an employee of Ivan Riddle Logging and C&L Erectors and Riggers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, Apr. 21, 2006 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.

Majel V. Holloway
Majel V. Holloway, 58, of New Holland, OH, passed from this life Tuesday morning, Sept. 21, 2004 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 15, 1945 in Ross County, the daughter of John F. and Edna P. Cunningham Elliott. On May 25, 1998 she married Melvin E. Holloway who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa A. and Mike Tennant, Londonderry, sons and daughters-in-law, Scott W. and Leslie Long and Brandon W. and Jodell Long, all of Ray, a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Angela D. and Mark Carr, Bloomingburg, grandchildren, Mika and Skyler Tennant, Shawn Murphy and Brandalyn Jo Long, step-grandchildren, Sherry Haywood and Freddie and Brady Benson, sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Ronald Riddle, Londonderry, Eileen and Jimmie Vanover, Laurelville, Linda and Mike McWhorter, Chillicothe, Carolyn and Keith Minney, Waverly, Janice and Danny Swackhammer and Judy and Les Odel, all of Chillicothe, brothers, Everett Elliott, Peebles and Paul Elliott, Greenfield and 2 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law. Her parents, a stepson, Melvin Holloway, Jr. and brothers, James Lewis Elliott and Carl Wesley Elliott preceded her in death.
Mrs. Holloway was a nurse for Central Ohio Pulmonary Associates.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Dozer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8pm on Friday.

Florence Proehl
Florence Proehl, 77, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Monday, Mar. 1, 2004 in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was born Mar. 31, 1926 in Ross County, the daughter of Harley and Rachel Butterbaugh. She was married to Charles E. Proehl, who preceded her in death in 1977.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Steve A. and Jenny Proehl and Darrell R. and Karen Proehl, grandchildren, Gracie Kaltenbach, Ricky Proehl, Bridget McKee and Cory Black, 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Nellie Vest, a sister and brother-in-law, Daisy and Pete Proper, a brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Shirley Butterbaugh and a brother, Everett Butterbaugh, all of Chillicothe. Her parents, an infant sister, Janet, 4 sisters, Lucy Varney, Mary Borland, Edna Hatfield and Della Ward and a brother, William Butterbaugh preceded her in death.
Mrs. Proehl was an employee of U.S. Shoe and the Chillicothe Gazette, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Spud Run Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Arlie Howard officiating. Calling hours will not be observed.

Lawrence Edward “Larry” Cox
Lawrence Edward “Larry” Cox, 67, of Chillicothe, entered into eternal rest at 2:35 pm Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004 in Mt Carmel Medical Center West, Columbus following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 9, 1937 in Ross County, the son of Ernest W. and Gladys McCartney Cox. On June 24, 1978 he married June Gray who survives.
Also surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Forrest M. and Jennifer Gumm, a daughter, Karen L. Pritchard, daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and James Annon, all of Chillicothe and Lisa and Jack Claytor, Bainbridge, grandchildren, to whom he was know as Papaw, Thomas, Kelly, Stephen, Thomas, Leah, Lindsy, Jamie, Matt and Shawn, an expected great grandchild, sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada and Herman Speakman, Circleville and Sandra and Donald Smith, Adelphi, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Marsha Cox, Chillicothe, Mr. and Mrs. Granville Cox, Stoutsville, brothers, Steven Cox, Oregon and Jack Cox, Chillicothe, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lloyd and Alice Gray, George W. and Ruth Gray and Frank and Lavern Fisher, sister-in-law, Anna Cox, several nieces and nephews, life long friends, Richard and Marian Riggle, Grove City and Lavern Ginther, Chillicothe, his loving pet, Baron Von Cox and his estranged daughter, Penny Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, John Walter and Edith L. Gray, sister, Carlene Cox Arledge, brothers, Robert Cox, Roger Cox, brother and sister-in-law, Ernest W., Jr. and Betty Cox, brother-in-law, John E. Gray, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Edna Gray, life long friend, Harry Ginther and his beloved pet, Fritz Von Cox, whose remains will be buried with him.
Mr. Cox was a 43-year employee of Chilpaco, working as an electrician, and retiring in 2000. Prior to his illness, he was an employee of Allen’s Pharmacy. He was a member of Union Local 988 and was a 35-year member of Eagles Aerie 600. Mr. Cox completed extended education courses from Allen and Bradley. He enjoyed his hobbies of hunting and fishing.
He was a most loving and respected husband, father and brother. He had many friends and relatives whom he loved very much and they loved him. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. He will never leave our hearts and left beautiful memories for his loved ones to hold onto.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Bevan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8pm on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Ethel P. Burns, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away from this life on Jan. 20, 2002, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Maurice W. Mann
Maurice W. "Moe" Mann, 73, of Chillicothe, died 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Donald E. Robinson
Donald E. Robinson, 47, of Delta, Ohio, died as a result of an auto accident near Toledo, Ohio Friday.

Marvin Sparks
Marvin Sparks, 61, of Shawnee Trail, Frankfort, died 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at his residence, following an extended illness.

Alma H. Benson
Alma H. Benson, 75, of Chillicothe, passed from this Earth on Feb. 11, 2002, to be joined with her husband of 49 years.

Lenna Burton
Lenna Burton, 60, of Marshall Road, Chillicothe, died 12:48 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Ernest J. Daniels
Ernest J. "Ernie" Daniels, 63, of Circleville, died Feb. 11, 2002, in Mt. Carmel West Hospital.

Ramona Lynn Gillespie
Ramona Lynn Gillespie, 51, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002.

Frederick "Ted" Hatmacher
Frederick E. "Ted" Hatmacher, 71, of Frankfort, passed from this life Tuesday morning, Feb. 12, 2002, in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Stephen E. Rowland
Stephen Edward Rowland, 42, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Friday evening, Feb. 8, 2002, at his residence.

Martha M. Boring
Martha Marie Boring, 82, of Englewood, FL, formerly of Frankfort, passed from this life Monday, Apr. 1, 2002 in the Englewood Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1919 in Ross County, the daughter of W.B. and Goldie Harris Tillis. Her husband, Dean Boring preceded her in death in 1980.
Surviving is her son, Ronald E. Boring, Englewood, FL, a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Ruth Tillis, Englewood, FL, a brother, John Tillis, Proctorville and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boring was a retired employee of U.S. Shoe with 38 years of service. She has been a resident of Englewood for the past six years.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the hour of service on Friday.
