John L. Hughes
John L. Hughes, 79, of Columbus, died 9:30 p.m. Monday at Ohio State University Hospital.
Arrangements are being completed at Haller Funeral Home.

Daniel Jaskowiak
Daniel W. Jaskowiak, age 52, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1949, in Fairborn, Ohio, the son of the late Adam and Faye Weger Jaskowiak. On June 12, 1981, he married the former Kimberly Moses, who survives.
Also surviving are their children, Teresa Jaskowiak, Joseph Jaskowiak and Alex Jaskowiak, all at home; three brothers, Ronald Jaskowiak, of Bethel, Ohio, Steven Jaskowiak, of Greenville, Ill. and Kenneth Jaskowiak, of Millville, Mass.
Dan was a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Microbiology. He was a Medical Technologist at the Fayette Memorial Hospital. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
In keeping with Dan's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are asked to attend a gathering at the family home at 2557 Bushmill Road, Frankfort on Saturday, August 17, 2002, from noon until 6 p.m. No calling hours will be observed. The Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, is serving the family.

Pamela J. Nagley
Pamela J. Nagley, 40, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday afternoon, Aug. 4, 2002, in Mt. Carmel Medical Center West, Columbus, following a brief illness. She was born April 20, 1962, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Ronald C. and Norma J. Grant Nagley.

Doloras J. Drummond
Doloras J. Drummond, 72, of Massillon, Ohio, formerly of Laurelville, died 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Laurelville, to the late Roy and Ora Herron Crider. She was married March 29, 1951, to Everett E. Drummond, who survives, along with son, Jeffrey E. Drummond, of Riva, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Emil DeSantis, of Massillon; four grandchildren, Nicholas Drummond and Matthew, Amanda and Andrew DeSantis; brother and sister-in-law, William and Joan Crider, of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Lucille Robertson and Patricia Quinn, both of Columbus; and brother-in-law, Robert and his wife Cora Drummond, of Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Ware Funeral Home, with Pastor Dwayne Gibson of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

David H. Malone
David H. Malone, 71, of Moss Hollow Rd., Chillicothe, died at 11:35 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2002, at his residence, following a brief illness.
He was born July 7, 1931, in Ross County, to the late Gilbert B. and Anna M. Maddy Malone. On Aug. 20, 1949, he married the former Margaret E. England, who survives him along with daughter and son-in-law Kristina M. and Richard Rich of Chillicothe; daughter Holly D. Seymour and fiance Cary O'Dell of Chillicothe; sons and daughters-in-law Randall D. and Dianne B. Malone and D. Pat and Connie E. Malone of Chillicothe; grandchildren Elizabeth Cydrus and husband Sam III, Stephanie Malone, Natalie and Ross Morrow, Emily Pinkerton and husband David, Sara Malone and Phillip Moore, Jessica Moore and fiance Rodney Graves, Hannah Bradley and husband Phillip, Joey and Kirby Seymour, Garret and Deedra O'Dell; great grandchildren Kaitlyn and David Graves; four sisters; Osie Deal and Helen England of Chillicothe, Ruth Keyser of Marietta, and Mary Johnson of Frankfort; two brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Mary Malone of Bartlett, and Luther and Abigail Malone of Chillicothe; numerous nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by a sister Martha Koon.
David retired from Mead Corporation in 1987 and served in the U.S. Army. He attended the Mt. Tabor Community Church, where services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, with Pastor Dennis Garman officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Patricia Jean "Patsy" McClure
Patricia Jean "Patsy" McClure, 67 of Londonderry, died 5:40 PM, Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Kelly B. Segraves
Kelly B. Segraves, 74, of University Drive, died at 4:55 p.m. on Friday Aug. 16, 2002 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

Willie Aireman
Willie Aireman, 61, of Red Bridge Road, Peebles, died Sunday.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cynthiana Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Beaver.

James Sheridan Carr
James Sheridan Carr, 20, of Washington Court House, died Sunday.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, Greenfield. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (today).

Gilbert H. Chapman
Gilbert H. Chapman, formerly of Madden Lane in Chillicothe, passed away at his home in Carson City, Nev., on April 5, 2002. In attendance at the time was his daughter, Cassandra Morrison.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine, who died on Oct. 13, 1992.
In addition to his daughter, Mr. Chapman is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Chapman's father, Gilbert Chapman Sr. (Chappy) worked for the Chillicothe Gazette for many years and his passing was noted in this publication.
Mr. Chapman (Jr.) served with distinction in the Army Air Corps during World War II, most notably in the Pacific Theater and was awarded several medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Clusters.
The funeral was handled by Fitzhenry's Funeral Home in Carson City, Nev. (Telephone (775) 882-8149 for more information).

William E. Demint
William E. Demint, 47, of Chillicothe, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, in Tiffin Tower.
He was born June 2, 1955, in Ross County, to Otha Demint, deceased, and Martha (Gallagher) Mick, who survives in Chillicothe. He was married Feb. 16, 1982, to Twana J. McGraw Demint, of Polk Hollow Road, who survives along with sons, Chad E., Brad L. and Joey A. Demint, all of Chillicothe and William Demint Jr.; daughters, Terra Demint and Amy Gregg, all of Chillicothe; four grandchildren; brothers, Allen (Mona) Demint, David (Debbie) Demint, Roger (Lynn) Demint, Dan Demint, Kenny (Beth) Mick and Keith Mick, all of Chillicothe; and nieces and nephews.
William was a self employed lock smith.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Cemetery, under the direction of the Ware Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours.

Donna Jean Rapp
Donna Jean Rapp, 64, of Horton Road, Beaver, died Friday.

George P. Saunders
George P. Saunders, 83, of Bowling Green, Ky., died 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at his residence.
He was born in Carlisle, Ky., to the late James C. and Lelia Moore Saunders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyda McIlwain Saunders.
Surviving are son, James M. "Mac" (Carol) Yowell, of Bowling Green; daughter, Patricia (Dan) Hougland, of Chillicothe; sister, Lena Bowman, of Paris, Ky.; six grandchildren, Lisa (Wade) Hutcheson, of Griffin, Ga., Jamie Yowell, of London, Ky., Chris (Jennifer) Quinn, of Westerville, Ohio, Casey Quinn, of Atlanta, Ga., Michelle Hougland, of Chillicothe and Angie (Chad) Galloway, of Lancaster, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Saunders was an accountant for the Allen Motor Company and Gordon Smith and Company. He was a graduate of the Bowling Green Business University, a member of Beta Pi Accounting Fraternity, Pi Tau Nu Social Fraternity, the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, the Civitan Club, a member of Broadway United Methodist Church and a World War II Army veteran.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Ky. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (today).
