SCHIMMOLLER
Jeffrey W. "Pillsbury" Schimmoller, 43, of 209 S. Liberty St., Ohio City, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2004, at his residence.
He was born September 19, 1961, in Defiance, the son of Thomas "Chick" Schimmoller of Delphos and Mary Ann (Waldman) Dray, also of Delphos. On April 14, 2004, he married Dora L. (Patton) Crisenberry, who also survives at home.
Mr. Schimmoller worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation in Van Wert County for 16 years. He was a 1980 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School and attended Ohio City Church of God. He was a volunteer on the Ohio City Fire Department, was a member of the Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association, Delphos Eagles Aerie 471 and the National Rifle Association. His hobbies included boating and camping and he was an avid gun enthusiast.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Isabella Schimmoller of Delphos; a paternal stepgrandmother, Betty Coleman of Delphos; his stepfather, John Dray of Delphos; his stepmother, Melody Schimmoller of Delphos; a stepson, Greg (Marie) Crisenberry of Glenmore; two stepdaughters, Yvonne Felger and Cathy Smith, both of Ohio City; a sister, Tina (Steve) Kowalski of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepbrothers, Travis Scherrick and Troy (Adrianna) Scherrick, both of Delphos; a half-brother, Joseph "Joey" (Nicole) Dray of Delphos; a special friend, Chris Simms of West Milton, and nine stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 27, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Matt Braun of Ohio City Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday, September 26, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio City Fire Department of Van Wert Area Visiting Nurses.

WILCOX
Eileen J. Wilcox, 71, of Delphos, died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born October 21, 1932, in Spencerville, the daughter of the late Henry and Johana (Baumgarte) Ernst. On June 26, 1971, she married James A. Wilcox, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wilcox taught junior high history and business at Fort Jennings High School for 45 years, retiring in 1998. She attended Delphos St. John's Elementary School and graduated from St. John's High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and education from Mary Manse College and graduated from the University of Detroit with a master's degree in business education and administration. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, where she was a minister of the Eucharist and took communion to the sick in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She was a Sister of Notre Dame for 18 years. She belonged to the Ohio Education Association, National Education Association, Fort Jennings Education Association and Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Aerie 471 in Delphos.
Survivors include a daughter, Jerolyn (John) Benson, M.D., of Silver Springs, Md.; two sisters, Coletta (David) Dray of Delphos and Annabelle (Jerry) Saum of Fort Jennings; two brothers, Carl (Vera) Ernest of Garden City, Ill., and Jerome (June) Ernst of Van Wert, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Albert, Eugene, Sylvester, Paul, Arthur and Francis Ernst.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Sunday, September 26, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gerad Center for Cancer Treatment.

STETLER
Waldo L. "Whitey" Stetler, 84, of 15386 State Route 118, Ohio City (Liberty Township), died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born July 4, 1920, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Clarence Monroe and Rosa P. (Hoverman) Stetler. On November 16, 1940, he married Mary Ellen Custer, who died December 21, 2003.
Mr. Stetler retired from Continental Can Corporation (Greif Bros.) after 44 years of service. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ohio City and a 1938 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS St. Paul, a heavy cruiser.
Survivors include a son, Gary V. (Ann) Stetler of Delphos; two daughters, Donita (Richard) Loucks of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Linda (Ron) Metz of Rockford; seven grandchildren, Trace Glosette, Tom Lyons, Chip Lyons, Adam Reidenbach, Brent Reidenbach, Tim Metz and Tami Metz, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Merl Stetler and Wayne Stetler.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, with military graveside rites by Harvey Lewis Post 346, American Legion, in Ohio City.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.

BEACH
Recie (Ellinger) Beach, 79, of 1172 Nanette Lane, Van Wert, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Van Wert Manor nursing home.
She was born July 13, 1925, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Perry Walter "Jack" and Pearl May (Garrard) Ellinger. On April 13, 1947, she married Richard H. Beach, who survives at home.
Mrs. Beach was a homemaker and member of Ohio City Church of God, where she was a charter member of the WCSC, a former Junior Department superintendent and church trustee. She was a 1943 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kevin (Jill) Beach of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Brad Beach of Indianapolis, Ind.; two special children, Danny and Cheryl; a daughter, Jackie (Gregory) Taylor of Cridersville; two brothers, Richard (Pauline) Ellinger of Ohio City and Eugene (Nancy) Ellinger of Celina; four grandchildren, Jeff Beach, Denise Beach, Cindy Taylor Boggs and Ryan Taylor; three stepgrandchildren, Nathan, Nicole and Alan Moore, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Homer, Leo R., Freddie Henry, John William and James Edwin Ellinger.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 30, at Ohio City Church of God, with Pastor Matt Braun and Pastor Paul Rutledge officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio City Church of God.

BRENNEMAN
James Brenneman, 61, of Spencerville, died the morning of Sunday, September 26, 2004, at his residence.
He was born September 27, 1942, in Lima, the son of Helen (Hunt) Brenneman, who survives in Delphos, and the late Richard Brenneman. On May 29, 1965, he married Sharree K. Goetz, who survives at home.
Mr. Brenneman was a Schwan's sales representative for 10 years a Moo-Juice Express truck driver for seven years and a self-employed dairy farmer. He was a private first class in the U.S. Army Reserve. He belonged to the Spencerville Masonic lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason for the Toledo lodge. He graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School in 1960. He loved his grandchildren and his dairy farm.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Julianne (Chris) Barnett of Wapakoneta and Sarah (Jason) Pohlman of Delphos; two brothers, Marvin (Nancy) Brenneman of Delphos and Michael Brenneman of Cincinnati, five grandchildren, Conner, Chloei and Kaylei Barnett and Emily and Kevin Pohlman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, at Harter & Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held that day.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

BRENNEMAN
David Samuel Brenneman, 77, of Elida, died at 1:50 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
He was born June 20, 1927, in Elida, the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Powell) Brenneman. On December 24, 1950, he married Clara Greider, who survives in Elida.
Mr. Brenneman was an auto parts delivery driver at Siferd-Hossellman Company and had attended Elida Schools.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stanley (Donita) Brenneman of Delphos; three daughters, Judy (Harold) Delagrange of Hicksville, Nancy (Michael) Drake of Knoxville, Tenn., and Susan (Byron) Brenneman of Elida; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Harold Brenneman, and two sisters, Beulah Brenneman and Florence Joseph.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 30, at Pike Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Orlan Koehn officiating. Burial will be in Pike Mennonite Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.

HISER
Mark A. Hiser Sr., 43, of Van Wert, died at 10:18 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born May 23, 1961, in Van Wert, the son of the late Kenneth and Lucille (Friemoth) Allen. He was adopted and raised by Richard and Eva Hiser, who survive in Florida.
Prior to his disability, he had been employed in plastics manufacturing. He was a graduate of Fairview High School in Defiance County and had served in the military police in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his fiancée, Marlen Grieshaber of Van Wert; two sons, Mark A. Hiser Jr. of Florida and Dustin (Jess Phinney) Hiser of Lima; a daughter, Tara (Shane) Waltmire of Van Wert; for brothers, Keith (Lori) Allen, Kevin (Debra Bashore) Allen and Jerry Allen, all of Van Wert, and Paul (Cathy) Hiser of Martinsville, Ind.; seven sisters, Barbara (Steve) Miller of Decatur, Ind., Diana (Jeff) Kessler of Defiance, Donna Perry of Van Wert, Karen (Mark) Raudabaugh of Latty, Kathy Zanes of Cleveland, Ruth (Gary) Hook of Lima and Karen Evans; two granddaughters, Courtney Waltmire of Van Wert and Chelsa Hiser of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
