HARDMAN
James Robert “Jesse” Hardman, 62, of Van Wert, died early Wednesday morning, July 13, 2005, at his residence.
He was born December 21,. 1942, in Van Wert, the son of the late Robert C. and Marjorie (Towsey) Hardman. On April 28, 1996, he married Lisa Thomas, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Hardman was a production employee at Kennedy Manufacturing Company in Van Wert. He was veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. He was also an avid roller skater and had played roller hockey at the former Byers Roller Rink outside Van Wert. He also played football in high school and loved to ride bikes.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Jimmy Robison of Van Wert; two stepdaughters, Brandy and Crystal Robison, both of Van Wert; a brother, Paul Hardman of Van Wert; two sisters, Betty Jo Cloud of Van Wert and Gertrude (James) Phillips of Lima; one sister-in-law, Cheryl (Dave) Taylor of Van Wert; three brothers-in-law, Keith (Jill) Thomas, Gary W. (Heather) Thomas and Roger (Beth) Thomas, all of Van Wert; a grandson, Caleb Robison of Van Wert; nine nephews; nine nieces; 10 great-nephews, and six great-nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Rev. Chuck Eberle officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with military graveside rites performed by the combined honor units of American Legion 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 15, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to his son, Jimmy’s, education or the Van Wert Fire and EMS department.

McCLURE
Marguerite McClure, 74, of Van Wert, died at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Convoy Care Center.
She was born December 18, 1930, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Doyt Conley and Nellie Mae (Fosnaught) Conley Slane. On June 18, 1950, she married Maurice McClure, who survives in Van Wert.
Mrs. McClure was a homemaker and a member of North Union United Methodist Church in Van Wert. She was a member of the Lima Kennel Club and raised dogs for 25 years. She also had formed the Christian Songwriters Club of Van Wert.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Jane McClure of Van Wert; one brother, Don (Candace) Conley of Edisto Island, S.C.; a half-brother, William (Joan) Donley of Columbus; three grandchildren, Shawn McClure, Tachea McClure and Elisha Fortney, and a great-grandchild, Shelby Elaine Pavel.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth McClure; one daughter, June McClure, and a half-brother, Bennie Donley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Mary Ann Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 3-8 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to Convoy Care Center.

MOSIER
Opal L. Mosier, 89, of Middle Point, died at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2005, at Convoy Care Center.
She was born March 8, 1915, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Arley E. and Minnie Belle (Poling) Mosier. She never married.
Miss Mosier was the catalog manager for 30 years and inventory clerk for nine years at the former Montgomery Ward store in Van Wert until her retirement in 1982. She was a 1933 graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School in Van Wert County.
Survivors include a brother, Raymond E. (Helen) Mosier of Middle Point; two sisters, Nellie (Dr. William) Engeberg of Los Angeles, Calif., and Emma E. (Glenn) Schwarz of Downey, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur W. and Ralph E. Mosier, and three sisters, Hazel C. DeCamp, Bertie F. Riley and Lillie H. Knies.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 13, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul Miller, a dear friend of Miss Mosier's, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Van Wert County.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice.

SCHMIDT
Kay Ellen Schmidt, 59, of 8481 Boroff Road, Van Wert, died at 9:21 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born May 19, 1945, in Van Wert, the daughter of Janet G. (Davis) Crosley, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Kenneth Leo Crosley. In April 1982, she married Robert R. Schmidt, who survives at home.
Mrs. Schmidt was a salesperson at the former Van Wert Book Store for 27 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and making crafts.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Sean Patrick Neate of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Shane Wesley Neate of Van Wert; a stepson, David Russell (wife Debra Steury) Schmidt of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one stepdaughter, Elaine (husband Eric Riffle) Schmidt of Indianapolis, Ind., and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Blaine Edward Neate.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, at Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township, the Rev. Doug Stockton officiating.
Calling hours are 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.

YBARRA
Jose E. "Joe" Ybarra, 48, of Van Wert, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, January 9, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born February 29, 1956, in Deming, N.M., the son of the late Benito and Carolina N. (Sera) Ybarra. On January 2, 1990, he married Paula Walls, who survives at home.
Mr. Ybarra was an over-the-road truck driver for 32 years and was employed by Countryside Waste Management at the time of his death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, John Matthew (Shelly) Sadzewicz of St. Marys, Jeremy Michael (Dawn) Sadzewicz of Van Wert and Jose E. "Joe" Ybarra II of Reno, Nev.; two daughters, Jessie Marie (Dan) Zartman of Van Wert and Carrie Joan Yaney of Union City, Ind.; a sister, Maria Carolina Radcliff of Deming, N.M., and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, January 14, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Dr. Bryan Day officiating.
Calling hours are an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

TAYLOR
Grace LaDonna Reynolds Taylor, 90, of 917 Park St., Van Wert, died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
She was born January 9, 1915, in Bluffton, the daughter of the late Walter and Leona (Burkholder) Augsburger. On June 20, 1937, she married Pratt R. Reynolds, who died September 26, 1986. On July 10, 1988, she married T. Francis Taylor, who died February 28, 1999.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Evangelical Church ad its Gleaners Sunday School class. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School. Home and family were very important to Grace, as well as her love of God.
Survivors include a son, Thomas L. (Nancy) Reynolds of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Patricia (Maynard) Kerns and Paula (Robert) Metzger, both of Van Wert; two brothers, Wade Augsburger and Harley Augsburger, both of Bluffton; two sisters, LaVaun Altman of Findlay and Josephine (Howard) Burkholder of Bluffton; 10 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Donna Sue Taylor; one brother, Glenn Augsburger, and three sisters, Colleen Seyer and two sisters in infancy, Gladys and Barbara.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Raymond E. Feeck, her son, Rev. Thomas Reynolds, and grandson, the Rev. Troy Reynolds, officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 1-6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio.

DAVIS
Tyler J. Davis, 9, of Middle Point, died at 9:18 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born March 29, 1996, in Van Wert, the son of Andrew Fleming, who survives in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Kelly Davis of Middle Point.
Tyler would have been in third grade this fall at Jefferson Elementary School this fall. He attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and loved T-ball and swimming.
In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by his stepmother, Jennifer Fleming of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Andrew Fleming II and Jackson Fleming, both of Convoy; four sisters, Tiffanie Davis and Katie Able, both of Middle Point; Cassandra (Colby) Miller of Clarksville, Tenn., and Alexis Fleming of Fort Wayne.; maternal grandmother Dyan Davis of Convoy; paternal grandfather, Harold Fleming of Van Wert; paternal grandparents Ronald and Rose Cooper of Fort Wayne, and maternal great-grandmother, Fran Davis of Van Wert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
