SIEFKER
Valeria Siefker, 93, of Delphos, died at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Calvary Manor in Glandorf.
She was born May 25, 1910, in Ottoville, the daughter of the late Anthony and Bernadine (Perrin) Clementz. On September 30, 1931, she married Joseph A. Siefker, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Siefker was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9142 in Ottawa, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council 84 in Landeck and St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos. She loved to make noodles, to can, bake bread, play cards and make afghans, runs and quilts. She also enjoyed visiting with people and her music.
Survivors include three sons, Donald (Shirley) Siefker of Fort Jennings, Gerald "Jerry" Siefker of Delphos and Joseph (Kathleen) Siefker of Elida; two daughters, Alma (Harold) Carpenter of Ottawa and Ann Daughtery of Del Rio, Texas; a brother, Frank (Helen) Clementz of Ottoville; 18 grandchildren, Steven, Paul, Mark, John, Timothy, Michael, Jerry Jr., Bill and Scott Siefker, Lisa Thompson, Rick, Norm, Dale and Larry Carpenter, JoAnna Klause, Lorie Ditto, Andrea Early and Adam Daughtery; 31 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Eugene and Joe Clementz; one sister, Josephine Bockrath, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Siefker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a CLC service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, a parish wake service at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and a VFW Ladies Auxiliary 9142 service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Siefker to Senior Citizens of Delphos, Elderly Day Care in Lima or to Delphos St. John's Tuition Fund.

BECHTOL
Ruby M. Bechtol, 90, of 703 Airport Ave., died at 9:10 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born December 5, 1912, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Scott and Nellie (Crites) Imler. On January 1, 1930, she married Clark Bechtol, who died in 1971.
Mrs. Bechtol formerly worked at Hampton's Restaurant, the Overall Factory (Van Wert Manufacturing) and National Seal (Federal-Mogul Corp.), all in Van Wert. She retired in 1977 after 25 years of service from Aeroquip Corp. in Van Wert. She attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert.
Survivors include a son, Donald E. (June) Bechtol of Van Wert; one brother, George Imler of Convoy; two grandchildren, Tim (Debby) Bechtol of Clermont, Fla., and Linda (Mark) Bechtol of Denver, Colo., and one grandchild, Bailey Bechtol.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Imler, and two sisters, Grace Logan and Inez Tumbleson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Bechtol to a charity of donor's choice.

WALLS
Bonita I. Walls, 77, formerly of 10963 Ohio 118, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born November 18, 1925, in Jackson Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Ralph and Marjorie (Shumaker) Anderson. She married Ernie E. Walls, who survives in Van Wert.
Mrs. Walls retired from Federal-Mogul Corp. in Van Wert. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Wileta Fisher of Van Wert and Sharon Sherman of Marlton, N.J.; an uncle, Dale Shumaker of Middle Point; two nephews; one niece, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Walls to Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert.

LYON
Olive I. Lyon, 93, of Payne and formerly of Quincy, Mich., died at 6:35 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at Horn Nursing Home in Wooster.
She was born July 13, 1909, in Antwerp, the daughter of the late Sidney and Goldie (Ludwig) Taylor. She married Lyman "Bud" Lyon, who died in 2001.
Mrs. Lyon was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary O. Hanlon of Wooster; one sister, Dora Bercaw of Hicksville; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne, with Deacon Donald Coughlin officiating.
Calling hours are after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Slade Funeral Home in Payne.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Lyon to the Hospice of Wayne County.

PRICE
Ruby M. Price, 78, of Rockford, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born November 19, 1924, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late Loren E. Harner and Dessie G. Steele. On December 8, 1951, she married Charles W. Price, who preceded her in death on February 26, 1999.
Mrs. Price retired from Parkway Local Schools after 29 years as a cook. She had lived in the area all her life and attended The Lord's Church in Celina.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Brent) Whitaker of Willshire and Nancy Ridenour of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Esther Snyder of Celina and Jean Christian of Mendon; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Randy Christian and Rev. Carol McKay officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Price to The Lord's Church in Celina or the Rockford EMS Squad.

STOLLER
Beulah Mary Stoller, 91, of Oakwood, died at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Harborside Healthcare Center in Defiance.
She was born September 12, 1911, the daughter of the late William F. and Eunice Christman. On January 11, 1933, she married Roy C. Stoller, who died December 6, 1994.
Mrs. Stoller was a homemaker and a member of Latty Apostolic Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Joyce) Stoller of Defiance and Jerry (Mary) Stoller of Bryan; three daughters, Brenda (James) Mullen of Oakwood, June (Richard) Stillwell of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Sharon (Darwin) Bodenbender of Salem, Ore.; 16 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dallas Stoller; two brothers, Edward and Justus Christman; two sisters, Helen Christman and Dorothy Riggenbach; three grandchildren, Cindy, Darrin and Randal Stoller, and one great-grandchild, Tanner Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Latty Apostolic Christian Church. Church clergymen will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Stoller to the church's New Building Fund.

NIBLICK
Eugene T. "Nib" Niblick, 78, of Celina, died at 2:19 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1925, in Celina, the son of the late John and Anna (Lichtle) Niblick. On April 19, 1947, he married Leona A. Axe, who died October 29, 1995.
Mr. Niblick retired in 1987 from Avco New Idea in Coldwater. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. Mr. Niblick was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater of Operations and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, both in Celina.
Survivors include two sons, Rick L. (Melody) Niblick of Boliver and Randy G. (Carla) Niblick of Celina; a brother Clarence (Gerna Dean) Niblick of Winter Haven, Fla.; one sister, Jeanette Beams of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Abels and Frances "Lucille" Smith, and a brother John Niblick Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Father Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Celina, with military graveside services by the combined honors guards of the Celina Legion and VFW posts.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Son Funeral Home in Celina
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Niblick to Mercer County Visiting Nurses and the American Lung Association.
