GIESSLER
Erma E. Giessler, 93, formerly of Convoy, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born September 21, 1909, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late William Peter and Rosina (Gehres) Kreischer. On June 24, 1931, she married Theophilous A. "T.A." Giessler, who died March 7, 1996.
Mrs. Giessler was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Van Wert County. She was a graduate of Wren High School and attended Ohio Northern University in Ada.
Survivors include four sons, Randall (Martha Jo) Giessler of Faith, N.C., Fred (Joanne) Giessler of Mount Vernon, Va., Tom (Sherrill Giessler of Van Wert and Phil (Carol) Giessler of Worthington; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Kreischer; two sisters, Florence Feigert and Freada Snyder, and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Rev. Kenyon Kaehr officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery next to the church.
Calling hours are from 12:30 p.m. until services Sunday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Giessler to the church.

KESLER
Rita M. Kesler, 83, of Delphos, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, at her daughter's residence.
She was born January 3, 1920, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Rahrig) Friemoth. On February 20, 1941, she was married to Hayden Kesler by Father William Friemoth. Mr. Kesler died May 15, 1990.
Mrs. Kesler was a nurse at Van Wert County Hospital for 37 years (a supervisor for 14 of those years), retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, helped start and organize the Visiting Nurses Association and was a chairman of the organization's advisory board. She attended Delphos St. John's High School and graduated from Van Wert High School. She was a member of the Tri-County Doll Club and the registered nurses association and graduated from St. Rita's School of Nursing in 1940. She was an avid doll collector.
Survivors include two sons, James A. (Carolyn) Kesler and Keith (Lori) Allen, both of Van Wert; one daughter, Susanne Keister of Delphos; three brothers, Eugene (Dorthy) Friemoth and Don (Irene) Friemoth, both of Van Wert, and Elmer E. (Helen) Friemoth of Elida; six grandchildren, Erin (Todd) Hansen, Melissa (Gregory) Odenweller, Erica (Kirk) Berryman, J.D. Keister and Katie and Jamie Allen, and six great-grandchildren, Derek and Jonathon Hansen, Alex and Jeffrey Odenweller and Allison and Adam Berryman.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Louis Friemoth; a sister, Lucille Allen, and one grandson, Kevin Kesler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be conducted on Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Kesler to Delphos Visiting Nurses and Hospice.

IRISH
James Frank Irish, 46, of Celina, died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born December 29, 1956, in St. Marys, the son of Mary Ellen (Hagaman) Hines, who survives in Celina, and the late Charles Irish Sr. On October 22, 1977, he married Candy J. Davis, who survives at home.
Mr. Irish was self-employed in construction and drove the Amish. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 in Celina and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473 in Celina.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Nicky Jo (Clay) Crain of Celina and Jamie Jo Irish at home; one brother, Charles Irish Jr. of Coldwater, and two grandsons, Zach and Chase.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home in Celina, with Father Richard Riedel of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling hours are 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Irish to a charity of donor's choice.

ATTERBERRY
Laura Rose Atterberry, 46, of Delphos, died Thursday morning, May 29, 2003, at her residence.
She was born July 22, 1956, in Lima, the daughter of Elizabeth J. (Lucke) Ricker and the late Rudolph Wurst, who died in 1992. She married Dennis Atterberry, who survives.
Mrs. Atterberry was a district administrator for Western & Southern Life Insurance Company and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Craig D. Atterberry and Jared S. Atterbury, both at home; five sisters, Theresa (Clem) Osting and Mary Ann (Kim) Buzard, both of Delphos, Carol (Dave) Till of Wabash, Ind., Christine (Kim) Heckler of Ashville and Sarah (Kenny) Franks of Panama City, Fla., and six brothers, Steven Wurst of Clayton, Ala., Joseph (Tish) Wurst of Waynesfield, Anthony (Jill) Wurst of Solon, Andrew (Shelly) Wurst and Philip (Teresa) Wurst, both of Delphos, and Thomas (Kris) Wurst of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos, the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Atterberry to the American Cancer Society or Delphos Area Visiting Nurses-Hospice.

STEWART
Mabel M. Stewart, 89, of Gomer, died at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born March 9, 1914, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Eli and Lula (Markley) Stewart. She never married.
Miss Stewart retired from J.C. Penney Company and was a member of Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three nephews, Eric (Robin) Stewart, Larry (Deb) Stewart and Garry (JoAnn) Stewart; a niece, Karen (James) Frankhouser; 10 great-nieces and nephews, and six great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Kenny Stewart, and an infant sister, Florence Stewart.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Ron Lumm officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
Calling hours are 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Miss Stewart to Delphos Visiting Nurses, Ridge United Methodist Church or Elida Fire and Rescue.

WILLIAMSON
Many Lynn Williamson, 27, of Mendon and formerly of Delphos, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at her residence.
She was born January 4, 1976, in Lima, the daughter of Robert Williamson and Sandra (Lindeman) Williamson, who survive in Delphos. She was not married.
Ms. Williamson was a nurse's aide at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos and devoted her life to her children.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sons, Robert Brown, Lae "Junior" Brown and Curtis Brown, all at home; a daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Brown, at home; one brother, Jim Williamson of Delphos; her grandmother, Mildred McKinley of Delphos, and many uncles and aunts.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marge and Carl Lindeman and Harold Williamson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

TEETS
Mark D. Teets, M.D., 52, of Defiance, died at 8:42 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2003, at Paulding County Hospital.
Teets was born April 19, 1952, in Uniontown, Pa., to Edgar R. and Goldie M. (Burkholder) Teets, who survive in Sidney. On June 16, 1973, he married Sally Sue Wiesenmeyer, who survives.
Dr. Teets graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1973 and from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1978. His residency was spent at the Saginaw Cooperative Hospital of Family Practice Residency in Saginaw, Mich., from 1978-1981. Teets went on to work at Spencerville Family Physicians of Spencerville from 1981 to 1991, and opened his own practice, Mark D. Teets M.D., Inc., from 1991-2000. He then worked at the Oakwood Medical Center in Oakwood from 2000-2003. Other affiliations included Lima Memorial Hospital and St. Rita’s Medical Center, both in Lima, Wilson Memorial Hospital of Sidney, Upper Valley Medical Center of Troy, as well as serving as chief of staff of Paulding County Hospital from 2002-2003 and director of occupational health at the hospital. Dr. Teets was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Sidney.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two sons, Aaron Douglas of Chandler, Ariz., and Nathan Ryan of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Erica Elaine of Columbus, and two brothers, Edgar B. Teets of Okeana, and Benjamin R. Teets of Sidney.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Paulding, the Rev. David Meriwether and Rev. Joseph Pumphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Dr. Teets to the Paulding County Hospital Foundation or the Antwerp EMS.
