MEEKER
Martha A. Meeker, 87, of Delphos, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born December 11, 1915, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late Isaac and Almeda C. (Wetstone) Craig. She married John T. Meeker, who died December 15, 1980.
Mrs. Meeker starting working at Pangle's Supermarket when it opened in Delphos as head of the produce department and retired from there. She was a member of Delphos Christian Union Church in Delphos, the Delphos chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, was a charter member of the Delphos Eagles and a member of the '59ers Club, which was her graduating class at Spencerville High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Caroline (Edward) Jackson of Fort Jennings; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Stant; three brothers, Chauncey, Odos and Russell Craig, and a sister, Mary Boyer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, with the Rev. Ron Drage officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Spencerville.
Calling hour are 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 17, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Meeker to the American Lung Association.

THOMAS
Gordon A. Thomas, 83, of 17538 Rhodes Mill Road, Ohio City, died at 6:19 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
He was born January 30, 1920, in York Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late Ivan Verl and Cecile Marie (Boyer) Thomas. On June 19, 1949, he married Alice L. Bashore, who survives at home.
Mr. Thomas worked as an auto parts manager in Van Wert and retired from farming in 1987. He was a member of Mt. Zion Bible Church and was a 1940 graduate of Van Wert High School. He was a World War II veteran who served four years in Europe and Africa with the U.S. Army. He was a member and past commander of Harvey Lewis Post 346, American Legion, in Ohio City.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Toby B. (Linda) Thomas of Ohio City, and two grandsons, Jeff and Travis Thomas.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lowayne Verl Thomas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor David Layton officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, where graveside military rites will be performed by Harvey Lewis American Legion Post 346.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Thomas to Mt. Zion Bible Church.

MOSIER
David R. Mosier, 48, of 1024 E. Sycamore St., died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital after a yearlong struggle with cancer.
He was born June 20, 1955, the son of Lemuel J. and Carol (Sutton) Mosier, who survive in Van Wert.
Mr. Mosier was employed at Eaton Corporation in Van Wert for the past nine years. Prior to that, he made his home in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, area, where his three children still reside. He was a 1973 graduate of Van Wert High School, where he was a member of the varsity football and basketball teams. He enjoyed painting landscapes in his spare time and also was an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Joshua Mosier of Burleson, Texas; one daughter, Patricia Mosier of Burleson; a stepdaughter, Chris (Adam) Elwell of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Craig Mosier of Lawton, Okla., and Keith (Denise) Mosier of Columbus; a sister, Sara Kay (Randall) Roberts of Van Wert; two stepbrothers, David L. (Lisa) Mosier of Van Wert and Dan L. (Anita) Edwards of Lima; a maternal grandmother, Edith Sutton of Celina; a grandson, Bailey Mosier of Burleson, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 21, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 20, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made on behalf of Mr. Mosier to the American Cancer Society.

PRUDEN
Allyssa Marie Pruden, 3 months old, died Monday, November 17, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born August 4, 2003, in Van Wert, the daughter of Vance M. and Deborah (Mann) Pruden, both of whom survive in Van Wert.
Other survivors include a brother, Clarence Mann of Van Wert; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Regina Pruden of Van Wert; maternal grandparents, Ronda (Paul) Barrone of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Richard Mann III of Fort Wayne; maternal great-grandparents, Betty Marker of Fort Wayne and Eddy Paulford of Lima, and maternal great-great-grandmother, Juanita Miller of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Heather Ashley Pruden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Job Stagner officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 20, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family.

LUEBRECHT
Agnes Luebrecht, 85, of Fort Jennings, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2003, at Calvary Manor nursing home in Ottawa.
Arrangements are incomplete at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos.

FRONK
Kenneth L. Fronk, 83, of Delphos, died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
He was born July 29, 1920, in Allen County, the son of the late Frank and Minnie (Stirn) Fronk. On September 30, 1945, he married Oleta Miller, who survives in Delphos.
Mr. Fronk was retired from the Operating Engineers of Local 18 in Toledo, of which he was a 58-year member. He was also a member of the retirees club. He also belonged to First United Presbyterian Church in Delphos, and was also an usher at the church. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Phillip (Denise Mathews) Fronk of Delphos; three daughters, Marcia (Walt) Barber of Beaverdam and Char (John) Burkheimer and Susie (Dan) Rode, both of Delphos; one brother, Carl Fronk of Mount Vernon; six sisters, Frances Matthews of Pataskala; Ethel Coulson of Delphos, Norma Miller of Spencerville, Vera (Donald) Burnett of Venedocia, Ruth Fronk of Boise, Idaho, and Jean (Bob) Hassel of Henderson, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Shellie Munoz, Scott (Renee) Fronk, Kelly (Curt) Garmatter, Angie (Will) Eversole, Brian Birkmeier, Erin (Steve) Stark, Jason (Megan) Birkmeier and Kyle and Lauren Rode, and three great-grandchildren, Sierra Fronk, Dominic Munoz and Klarissa Garmatter.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Alexander Munoz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 22, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, with Pastor Harry Tolhurst officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 20, and 2-8 p.m. Friday, November 21, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Fronk to First United Presbyterian Church in Delphos.

BAYLESS
Clara E. Bayless, 80, formerly of Holland, Mich., died at 8:44 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2003, at her daughter's residence in Van Wert.
She was born June 10, 1923, in Lincoln County, Tenn., the daughter of the late James T. and Cathrine R. (Hancock) Simmons. On July 24, 1946, she married James H. Bayless, who died August 30, 1992.
Mrs. Bayless was a homemaker and a member of Carlock Methodist Church in Carlock, Tenn.
Survivors include two daughters, Anita (Peter) vanden Berg of Van Wert and Kathy (Steve) Howard of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister, Mary McAlister of Oak Ridge, Tenn., four grandchildren, Danielle (Earl) Erland, K.C. Howard, Ashley Czerepak and Loren Czerepak, and two great-grandchildren, Earl and Renee Erland.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements were made by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert.
