THOMAS
Gary Lee Thomas, 49, of Van Wert, died Friday morning, September 19, 2003, at his residence.
He was born January 10, 1954, in Van Wert, the son of Shirley (Goodwin) Thomas, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Donald K. Thomas, who died March 9, 1995.
Mr. Thomas worked at Greif Bros. in Van Wert at the time of his death and attended Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Danny K. Thomas of Van Wert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Thomas to a charity of donor's choice.

HAGEMAN
Roger Dale Hageman, 56, of Middle Point, died at 11:19 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born September 30, 1946, in Delphos, the son of the late Herbert J. and Lois L. (Tigner) Hageman. On May 15, 1971, he married Diane Kay Adams, who survives in Middle Point.
Mr. Hageman was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos and the Middle Point Fire Department and EMS. He had been Middle Point town marshal for several years and was a former member of the Middle Point Ballpark Association, Lincolnview Athletic Booster Club, Lincolnview Band Boosters and Van Wert Moose lodge. He was a longtime member of the Delphos Eagles, where he served in several official positions. He was also a member and president of the Middle Point.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Michael Hageman; a mother-in-law, Marguerite Baker of Middle Point; two brothers-in-law, Rex E. Adams of Delphos and Randy L. Adams of Lima; four sisters-in-law, Mary L. Adams of Fort Wayne, Ind., Myrna L. Bolenbaugh of Glenmore, Maxine L. Smith of St. Louis, Mo., and Dawn E. Adams of Van Wert; aunts and uncles, Jackie (Ralph) Lintermoot of Van Wert; Bill Hageman of California, Rita (Clarence) Hoersten of Fort Jennings, Mary Pastula of Pennsylvania and Kay Tigner of Lima; 15 nephews and nieces; several great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces.
he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ralph H. Adams; a brother-in-law, Dean R. Adams; one sister-in-law, Marcia L. Gamble, and two nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home in Delphos, where a wake service will be held on Wednesday evening.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Hageman to the Middle Point Fire Department or The Salvation Army.

DAVIDSON
Leoda Boehm Davidson, 83, of Elida, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at Roselawn Nursing Home.
She was born February 28, 1920, in Hardin County, the daughter, of the late Philip J. and Matilda Elizabeth (Redick) Boehm. On June 16, 1942, she married Walter Edwin Davidson, who survives in Spencerville.
Mrs. Davidson was the former owner and a beautician at Leoda's Beauty Salon in Elida for 25 years. She was a member of New Creation Lutheran Church in Elida and enjoyed being around people.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Delores (Robert) Lee of Delphos; one stepson, Gary (Laura) Davidson of Lima; a brother, Roy (Clara Jean) Boehm of Galion; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and Marvin Boehm.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Creation Lutheran Church in Elida, with Pastor Don Leckrone officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Elida.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Davidson to the church.

DILLON
Harold E. "Bill" Dillon, 66, of Middle Point, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
He was born March 4, 1937, in Delphos, the son of the late Forest and Louise (Buschor) Dillon. On August 15, 1960, he married Helen Johnson, who survives in Middle Point.
Mr. Dillon was employed at Krey Packing Company in Delphos for many years and retired from Borden Foods in Van Wert. He attended elementary and high school at Delphos St. John's School and was also a former member of the Delphos Eagles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Brenda Gilbert of Lima, Elaine (Larry) Laswell of Osgood and Linda (Jason) Schaffner of Middle Point; a sister, Elizabeth (Gary) Wren of Lima; six grandsons, Steven Gilbert, Jon Gilbert, Brittin Schaffner, Lincoln Schaffner, Nathan Laswell and Nicholas Laswell, and a granddaughter, Ashley Laswell.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dillon.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ridge Cemetery in Ridge Township, the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Dillon to the Vancrest Activity Fund.

KREISCHER
William D. "Bill" Kreischer, 66, of Convoy died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at his residence.
He was born August 5, 1937, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Wilbur M. "Mike" and Ruby M. (Adams) Kreischer.
Mr. Kreischer was a retired foreman for Union Quarry in Scott and worked part-time at Ziggy's and The Tavern, both in Convoy. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Van Wert and attended Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert. He was a member of the Convoy Fox Hunters Club, helped with Convoy Fire Department fundraisers, was a loyal Crestview Knights fan and would volunteer his time for numerous community activities.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Connie) Kreischer and Richard W. (Tania) Kreischer, both of Convoy; a daughter, Sandy (Jerry) Smith of Convoy; three brothers, Philip (Carol) Kreischer, Dennis (Debbie) Kreischer and Stephen Kreischer, all of Convoy; two sisters, Patricia (Dale) Perrott of Van Wert and Jane (Fred) Germann of Convoy; 14 grandchildren; 17 nieces and nephews, and 19 great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Wayne Kreischer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy, the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Convoy IOOF Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Kreischer to the Convoy Fire and EMS Department.

DILBONE
Lois R. Dilbone, 84, a former Van Wert residents who had lived in Colon, Mich., the past 23 years, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at Harborside Healthcare in Sylvania.
She was born August 27, 1919, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Clifford and Eva (Tomlinson) Beamer. She was first married to John Walls in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Wilbur Dilbone in 1974, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Dilbone was employed at Borden Foods and McCoy's Flowers while living in Van Wert. She enjoyed quilting with her neighbors.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay (Glenn) Ackerson of Lambertville, Mich.; one sister, Helen (Bill) Wilcox of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Virgil Beamer of Van Wert; one granddaughter, Cassandra Ackerson of Lambertville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Darris McNeely officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

BROOKS
Joyce M. Brooks, 51, of Delphos, died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born June 30, 1952, in Allen County, the daughter of Nora (Fiedler) Brooks, who survives in Delphos, and the late Raymond Brooks. She was not married.
Ms. Brooks was a homemaker and formerly worked at Sarah Jane and Vancrest Health Care centers. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos and loved to be with family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Chad Eikholt of Ottoville and Ryan Schock of Delphos; one daughter, Dawn (Stan) Mansfield of Cloverdale; one brother, Dale (Candy) Brooks of Delphos, and a grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Camryn Mansfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be conducted at 6:45 that evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
