Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. Welton Stein officiating. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Garden. Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 6-9 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third St., Dover 44622.

ORRVILLE -- Mary Ann Shupp, 80, 1821 Crestview, Orrville, died Thursday morning, Oct. 2, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Randy Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Evelyn Sparr
LODI -- Evelyn Perry Vandemark Sparr, 89, of Lodi, died Thursday, Oct. 2, at her home after a six-month illness. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where services will be held at 3:45 p.m. by the Order of Eastern Star and at 8:45 p.m. by the Rebekah Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to Tri County Home Nurses, 4804 Ledgewood Drive, Medina 44256; or to Lodi United Methodist Church, 320 Medina St., Lodi 44254.

WOOSTER -- John Mark Irwin, 98, formerly of 1464 Beall Ave., Wooster, died Wednesday, Oct. 1. Graveside services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Abilene Cemetery, Abilene, Kan. Danner Funeral Home in Abilene is handling arrangements. Local arrangements were handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.

James Peliotes
MUSKEGON, Mich. -- James Peliotes, of Muskegon, Mich., formerly of Wooster, died Monday, Sept. 29, in Muskegon, after a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Michigan.

Julius Ramey
AKRON -- Julius Ramey, 73, of Akron, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997. Memorial services with participation by the ex-POW's will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Billow Tallmadge Chapel, 17 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge (330) 867-4141. The Rev. Paul Beal from the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls will officiate. There will be no calling hours. His body has been donated to Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.

NORTH BALTIMORE -- Franklin Eugene Bartholow, 73, of North Baltimore, Ohio, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at his home. Memorial services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Hoeflinger Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Burial will be at a later date at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. LOUDONVILLE -- Helen Pauline Hunter, 94, 611 N. Water St., died Wednesday morning, Oct. 1, at her home after a short illness. Graveside services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville, with the Revs. George Shunk and Lester Dresch officiating. Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville. ORRVILLE -- Joseph "Joe" Volpe, 71, 1416 Harding Ave., Orrville, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Columbia Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Mullet residence, 1525 Cherry Ridge Drive, Sugarcreek, with Bishop Robert N. Troyer officiating. Burial will be at the Erb Cemetery. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at the church at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
