WOOSTER -- Leslie W. Butler, 85, 2742 Batdorf Road, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert B. Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Cross United Methodist Church, 5100 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born July 18, 1914 in Chester Township to John and Rosa Pearl (Lopez) Butler.
Surviving are a brother, Roger W. Butler of Wooster, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Cloyd Mosher
WOOSTER -- Cloyd W. Mosher, 66, 131 Oldman Road, died Friday, March 10, 2000, at his home.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Fogal officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Wooster 4th of July Fireworks Fund, c/o Wayne County National Bank, P.O. Box 757, Wooster 44691.
He was born April 12, 1933 in Wooster to A. Donald and Beatrice (Middaugh) Mosher.
Surviving are his wife Mary (Miller) Mosher, whom he married Nov. 29, 1968; sons and their spouses, Steven and Janelle Mosher of Sarasota, Fla., Rick and Joyce Mosher of Orrville and Thomas and Karen Smith of North Lawrence; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Robert Snyder
WOOSTER -- Robert K. Snyder, 75, 6391 Cleveland Road, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Revs. Regis Sullivan and Mark Carstensen officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1925 in Wooster to Floyd and Mary (Keister) Snyder.
Surviving are his wife, Marvel Loraine (Johnson) Snyder, whom he married April 30, 1947; children and their spouses, Richard K. and Linda Snyder of West Salem, Carol Snyder of Greenwich and Rex and Marilyn Snyder of Orrville; 10 grandchildren and a brother, Don Snyder of Wooster.

Mary Zappone
ORRVILLE -- Mary A. Zappone, 89, formerly of 1847 Brookwood Court, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Regency Park Nursing Home in Orrville, following a long period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with Father John Mueller officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Wooster.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Wayne County Branch, P.O. Box 267, Wooster 44691.
She was born Nov. 20, 1910 in Wooster to Anthony and Teresa (Cicconetti) Bursani and married James Zappone on Nov. 19, 1936. He died in 1978.
Surviving are a daughter, Martha Schrock of Orrville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Albert (Susan) Bursani and Rudy (Marian) Bursani, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Anthony (Vivian) Bursani, William Bursani and Raymond Bursani, all of Wooster; three sisters, Amy Delaney of Akron, Lucille Coblentz and Rose (Harold) May, both of Wooster and numerous nieces and nephews.

Blanche Bennett
DOYLESTOWN -- Blanche O. Bennett, 78, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at Doylestown Health Care Center.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Cochrane officiating. Burial will be at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wayne County Hospice or to Doylestown Health Care Activities Center.
She was born July 14, 1921 in Greenville, Tenn. to William J. and Georgia (Jennings) Bowman.
She is survived by son, Robert W. Bennett of Strongsville; daughter, Carole Andrukat of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Renee Gordon of Massillon, Christopher Hlozek of Dallas, Texas, Kelly (Christopher) Hayes of North Lawrence, Timothy R. Bennett of Strongsville, Troy (Lisa) Andrukat of Doylestown, Todd (Barbara) Andrukat of Doylestown; great-grandchildren, Kaila and Ryan Hayes, Jared Andrukat and Ashley Gordon and sister, Margerite Jennings of Greenville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Bennett.

Mildred Linch
BARBERTON -- Mildred E. Linch, 85, of Barberton, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at Doylestown Health Care Center.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with Dr. David Tennant and the Rev. Lynn Garth officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call today (Monday) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born April 5, 1914 in Barnesville to Clarence and Anna (Hardesty) Castello.
Surviving are a son, Bob (Patsy) Patterson of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Judy (Frank) Schellin of Doylestown; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Thornburg of Washington, Pa. and a brother, Richard (Leota) Castello of Doylestown.
Her husband, Charles S. Linch, died previously.

Lena Byers
LODI -- Lena M. Byers, 84, of Lodi, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at Sophia Huntington Parker Home in Medina, where she had resided the past three years.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi with Vicar Dee Miklos and the Rev. Geo. Swartzfager officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 9, 1916 in Chester Township, Wayne County to George and Delphia (Buffmyer) Buchanan.
Surviving are three sons, Richard (Barbara) Byers and David (Cathy) Byers, both of Lodi and Daniel (Lynn) Byers of Seville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruby Lucille) Jacobs of Mansfield and Nancy Jane Irving of Millersburg.

Willis Todd
WOOSTER -- Willis B. Todd, 83, 2543 E. Moreland Road, died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg, following a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Robert Stull officiating. Burial will be at Moreland Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by Holmesville American Legion Post 551.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
He was born Jan. 20, 1917 in Hopewell to George and Gertrude (Phillips) Todd and married Orene L. Fry on Nov. 20, 1941. She died Feb. 20, 1996.
Surviving are sons, Albert of Fredericksburg and Ron of Wooster; daughter, Shelva and her husband, Larry Wachtel of Wooster and three grandchildren.

Buhl Smith
DOYLESTOWN -- Buhl F. Smith, 86, of Doylestown, died Sunday, March 12, 2000.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown. Graveside service will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster with Jim Craddock officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron 44308.
He was born Jan. 14, 1914 in Perkins, W.Va. to Norman and Roxle (Boggs) Smith and married Laura Carr on Sept. 10, 1933. She died previously.
Surviving are a son, Cecil Smith of Doylestown; daughters, Patty (Lloyd) Beckstrom of Doylestown, Shelva (Jim) Craddock of Norton; and Deloris Kennell of Wadsworth; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Foster Smith of Coshocton, Carl Smith of Gassaway, W.Va. and sisters, Ruby Forrest of North Canton, Hazel Bobbett of Fort Meade, Fla. and Hapsey Smith of Gassaway, W.Va.

Atlee Yoder
DUNDEE -- Atlee L. Yoder, 77, 2934 Durstine Road, died Monday, March 13, 2000 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Rudy Byler Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence. Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
He was born April 16, 1922 in Holmes County to Levi J. and Emma (Yoder) Yoder and married Emma Stutzman on March 4, 1943. She died Nov. 12, 1996.
Surviving are eleven children, Mrs. John Daniel (Susan) Schlabach of Orrville, Lydia and Clara of the home, Joseph of Fredericksburg, Levi of Big Prairie, Mrs. Joas (Martha) Hershberger of Millersburg, Robert of Morley, Mich., Amos of Dundee, Melvin of Cookville, Tenn., Mrs. Wayne (Anna) Troyer of Fredericksburg and Edwin of Stanwood, Mich.; 58 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and four brothers, Joe and Menno of Dundee, Jonas of Fredericksburg, and Aden of Cashton, Wis.

Wanda Workman
WOOSTER -- Wanda J. Workman, 65, 1432 Sycamore Lane, died Sunday evening, March 12, 2000, at her home.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Cathy Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-9 at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Wayne County, Inc., 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 in her memory.
She was born Dec. 26, 1934 in Newton, W.Va. to Clay and Rada (Moore) Taylor.
Surviving are her husband, W. Jack Workman, whom she married on Feb. 8, 1974; children and their spouses, Dwayne P. and Sue Dies of Wadsworth, Jeffrey A. and Amy Dies and Michael T. Dies, all of Wooster; stepchildren and their spouses, Robert L. and Deb Workman, and Les Workman, all of Wooster and Steve and Audrey Workman of Ashland; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Ray E. and Virginia Taylor of Akron, Clay H. and Mary Taylor of Uniontown, Simon and Lucille Taylor of Wadsworth, Pauline and Larry Geraci of Sarasota, Fla. and Christine Raymond of Fairlawn and her mother-in-law, Eva Drouhard.

Jason McLaughlin
WOOSTER -- Jason Paul "Jr" McLaughlin, 22, 8897 Hiner Road, died Sunday evening, March 12, 2000, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jonathan Eilert officiating. Burial will be at New Pittsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home.
Those who wish may contribute to the New Pittsburg Lions Club Park, c/o Gene Imhoff, 7356 Ashland Road, Wooster 44691 in his memory.
He was born April 4, 1977 in Wooster to Paul and Dianne (Hartzler) McLaughlin.
Surviving are his parents of Wooster; brothers and spouse, Darby of Wooster and Shane and Susie of Lake Forest, Calif.; nieces, Kayla and Brooke McLaughlin; maternal grandmother, Connie Hartzler of Wooster and paternal grandparents, Hugh and Viola McLaughlin of Dodge City, Kan.

James Morgan
NAPLES, Fla. -- James J. Morgan, 85, of Naples, Fla., died Wednesday, March 8, 2000.
Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Surviving are two sons, James C. (Judy) Morgan and John J. (Marlene) Morgan, all of Wooster; two daughters, Barbara A. (Jack) Spitler of Bonita Springs, Fla. and Helen Eddy (Bob) Cline of Flacon, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a sister, Betty Treadwell of Avon Lake.
His wife of 63 years, Miriam E. Morgan died Sept. 28, 1999.

M. Kathryn Harris
BIG PRAIRIE -- M. Kathryn Harris, 80, of Big Prairie, died Tuesday morning, March 14, 2000, at Sunset View Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg with the Rev. Clyde Ondrizek officiating. Burial will be at the Nashville Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born April 2, 1919 in Cleveland to Frank and Grace (Hunn) McCune and married Dennis Wayne Harris. He died Nov. 29, 1986.
Surviving are six children, Penny Gruver, Joan Snyder and Toby Harris, all of Nashville, Mark Harris of Lakewood, Dave Harris of Glenmont and Barbara Jay of California; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Lavada Saferight of Cleveland.

Anthony Massaro
WOOSTER -- Anthony L. Massaro, 60, 1678 Westwood Circle, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1940 to John and Dora (Coccia) Massaro and married Betty Bash on June 15, 1968. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, John B. Massaro of Cuyahoga Falls and Nicholas A. Massaro of Marysville; his mother of Wooster and three brothers, Richard Massaro of Marshallville, Roger Massaro of Dalton and Tom Massaro of Tamarac, Fla.

Victoria O'Laughlin
RITTMAN -- Victoria P. O'Laughlin, 63, formerly of Villa Blvd., died Monday night, March 13, 2000 at Rittman Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with Deacon Roger Klaas officiating. Her body has been cremated.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-County Hospice, 102 Main St., Suite 304, Wadsworth 44281 or to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, c/o Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road., Wooster 44691.
She was born Feb. 23, 1937 in Hollywood, Calif. to Roland D. and Verna (Dunlevy) Phillips and lived in Boulder, Colo. for 45 years before moving to Rittman.
Surviving are daughters, Sara Perry of Akron, and Cindy (Brig. Gen. Dennis) Moran of Washington, D.C.; a son, Marc (Jennifer) Carlson of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren and a brother, Rod Phillips of California.

Wellman Lehman
PRESTONBURG, Ky -- Wellman S.M. Lehman, 73, 217 Mays Branch Road, Apt. 79 and formerly of Orrville, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, following a long illness.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at the Good News Baptist Church, Smithville with the Rev. Jeff Hatfield officiating. Burial will take place in Warfield, Ky.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good News Baptist Church, 238 N. Milton St., Smithville 44677.
He was born July 23, 1926 in Dalton to W. Bert and Mabel (Berg) Lehman and married Lois E. Harmon on Sept. 29, 1954 in Carson City, Nev. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Beverly Morrison of Shreve; three brothers, W. Vesper of Clearwater, Fla., Rev. Randall of Wooster and Bradley of Dalton; a sister, Ruby Nobles of Hawaii and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul Thomaso
ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- Memorial services for Frieda M. Thomas, who died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999 and Paul Corwin Thomas, who died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, in Orange City, Fla. will be Saturday, March 18, at 3 p.m. at the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.
Paul C. Thomas was born May 2, 1910 in Shreve, one of eight children. He married Frieda May Heffelfinger on Nov. 23, 1932 and they were married 67 years.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rex C. and Elizabeth Thomas of Virginia Beach, Va.; granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn Thomas Hayes of Grand Junction, Colo. and Karolea C. Thomas of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Verde Thomas of Wooster and sisters, Marcella Thomas Blosser of Kent and Doris Thomas Sidle of Orrville.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in Orange City, Fla.
