Myrna Nelson
PARMA HEIGHTS -- Myrna (Kerr) Nelson, 77, of Parma Heights, formerly of Wooster, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Parma-South Presbyterian Church, 6155 Pearl Road, Parma Heights. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Arrangements are being handled by Busch Family Funeral Chapel, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seasons of Life, Hospice of Parma Community Hospital, 7007 Powers Blvd., Parma 44129.
She was born Sept. 24, 1921 in Lime Springs, Iowa, and married John A. Nelson on April 1, 1944 in Mason City, Iowa. He survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Craig and Beth Nelson of Wildwood, Ill., Kristine and Bob Noll of University Heights and Nancy and Bill Donahue of Strongsville; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew, Brian, Katie, Mathew, Michael and Joshua; her mother, Merle Kerr, and a sister, Marcia Burke, both of Clear Lake, Iowa.

Noah Raber
MILLERSBURG -- Noah J. Raber, 77, 1935 Township Road 110, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg, from an apparent heart attack.
Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Eli A. Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Raber Cemetery, Mechanics Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime after 2 today (Tuesday) at the residence. Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling arrangements.
He was born Feb. 22, 1922 in Holmes County to Jonathan and Fannie (Yoder) Raber and married Lizzie L. Miller on Jan. 15, 1945. She survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Anna and Dan Troyer, Levi and Lucinda Raber and Andy and Verna Raber, all of Millersburg, Fannie Raber and Jonathan and Susie Raber, all of the home; 32 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Levi Y. Raber of Baltic and Henry J. Raber of Greenwich; and sisters, Mrs. Abe L. (Fannie) Miller of Baltic, Mrs. Eli (Katie) Schlabach and Mary Raber, both of Lakeville.

'Marcie' Smith
ORRVILLE -- Florence M. "Marcie" Smith, 66, 9785 Smucker Road, died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at her residence after a long illness.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Claude L. McComas officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Funk.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Wayne County, 5318 Tannerville Road, Orrville 44667; or American Diabetes Association, Ohio Affiliate Inc., 937 N. High St., Worthington 43085.
She was born Aug. 5, 1932 in Creston to Harley and Naomi (Long) Bowman and married Richard E. "Smitty" Smith. He died in 1983.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Jeffery A. and Donna Jean Smith of Orrville, Wesley D. and Rita Smith and Deborah S. and Terry E. Shank, all of Wooster and Diane M. See of Ashland; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine brothers and four sisters; and a best friend and companion, David D. Armstrong of Orrville.

'Bobbie' Mosher
WOOSTER -- Laola R. "Bobbie" Mosher, 88, formerly of 2432 Montclair Ave., died Monday morning, Aug. 23, 1999, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born April 7, 1911 in Danville to Ayman and Maude (Blubaugh) Sapp and married Earl Adam Mosher on July 16, 1932. He died in 1983.
Surviving are children, Earl E. "Gene" Mosher and his wife, Betty M., of Loudonville and Barbara Wagers of Wooster; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.

C. Ruth Durham
WEST WYOMISSING, Pa. -- C. Ruth Durham, 40, of West Wyomissing, Pa., died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at her home.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with the Rev. Robert Fetterhoff officiating. Burial will be at Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery, West Salem.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born July 21, 1959 in Berea to James and Carol (Zents) Durham.
Surviving are her parents of Wooster; sisters and their husbands, Debra and Ken Courtright of New Philadelphia, Becky and Rusty Nowell and Mary and Jeff Workman, all of Wooster, Sandy and Don Eckenrode of Doylestown and Kathy and Ron Hatfield of Smithville; brothers, Dave Durham and his wife, Jen, of Wooster and Dan Durham of Columbus; her grandmother, Katherine Durham of Wooster; and a special friend, Hank Magliocchetti, with whom she had made her home.

Richard Christopher
ZEPHYR HILLS, Fla. -- Richard Paul Christopher, 60, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at East Pasco Medical Center.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 23, at Whitfield Funeral Home in Florida.
He was born in Killbuck.
Surviving are his wife, Lola Christopher of Zephyrhills, Fla.; children, Jeff Christopher of Tampa, Fla., Leland Christopher of Plant City, Fla., and Betty Oliphant of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Claude Christopher of Fredericksburg; and sisters, Charlotte Harrington of Wooster, Carol Hall of Danville, Judy Hostettler of Millersburg, Marylin Rock of Big Prairie and Peggy Roberson of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Stanley Kashuba Sr.
MASSILLON -- Stanley F. Kashuba Sr., 75, of Massillon, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Massillon Community Hospital.
He was the father and father-in-law of Lana and William Broel of North Lawrence.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, with the Rev. Thomas Cebula officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Massillon.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 221.
He was born May 15, 1924 in Scranton, Pa., to Frank and Susan (Wilchinski) Kashuba and married Lola Brown. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, the Rev. Stanley Kashuba and his wife, Kathleen, of Canton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters and their husbands, Helen and William Krinock of Scranton, Pa., and Florence and Roy Dainty of Clarks Summit, Pa.; a brother, Edward Kashuba of Minneapolis, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Jacob Baker
NORTH OLMSTED -- Jacob F. Baker, 85, of North Olmsted died Friday afternoon, Aug. 20, 1999, at his daughter's home in Medina.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the new chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted.
Friends may call today (Sunday) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the chapel.
He married Esther B. Beekman on Oct. 17, 1942. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and George Lambert of Medina and Carol and David Gresh of Creston; sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Baker of Atlanta, Ga., and David and Dawn Baker of Creston; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ruth Butler
CHLOE, W.Va. -- Ruth V. Butler, 77, of Chloe, Calhoun County, W.Va., died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at Roane General Hospital in Spencer, W.Va.
She was the mother of Stephen L. Butler of Apple Creek.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg, W.Va. Burial will be at the Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery in Orma, W.Va.
Friends may call tonight (Sunday) from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Surviving in addition to her son are her husband, Doy Butler and two other sons, Teddy A. Butler of Plymouth and Basil D. Butler of Chloe, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Jack Bailey of Man, W.Va.
Three half-brothers, Greely Bailey, Criss and Dutch Hall, died previously.

Mildred Green
CHIPPEWA LAKE -- Mildred Pauline (Massie) Green, 79, of Chippewa Lake, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi with the Rev. Randy K'Meyer officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, Md. 20814, Attention: Communications Department.
She married William Green. He died in 1990.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Dennis Mohn of Chippewa Lake; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Joyce Timic of Lodi and James and Diana Green of Medina; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, David A. Massie of Burbank.

Robert Gisinger
NEWARK -- Robert G. Gisinger, 79, of Newark, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio, Newark.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel in Wooster with the Rev. Claude McComas officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark and one hour before services Tuesday in Wooster. Masonic services will be Monday evening at 6:45 at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 1435-B West Main Street, Newark 43055.
He married Margaret Daugherty on July 5, 1946 in Hendri, Miss. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Robert H. Gisinger of Millersburg and Theodore G. Gisinger of Marshallville; a daughter, Phyllis VanDyke of Millersport; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Elizabeth Snell of Big Prairie and Evelyn Hitchcock of Wooster.

Edith Scalf
BREWSTER -- Edith Lorraine Scalf, 45, of Brewster, died Saturday morning, Aug. 21, 1999, at her home following an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church near Canton with the Rev. Tom Shank officiating. Burial will be at the Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Ind. on Wednesday. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster or one hour before services on Tuesday at the church.
She married James E. Scalf on July 31, 1972. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Dawn M. Scalf of the home; a son, Wesley Scalf of Moyock, N.C.; a stepson, John Hostetler of Detroit; two step-grandchildren; her mother, Vivian McGee of Cottage Grove, Ore.; her stepfather, Wesley McGee of Ocean City, Ore.; a sister, Carol Clinton of Connecticut and two brothers, Roy P. McDonald of Boise, Idaho, and Gary E. McDonald of California.

Dorothy Lee
WOOSTER -- Dorothy E. Lee, 84, formerly of 4110 E. Smithville Western Road, Wooster, died Saturday morning, Aug. 21, 1999, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel at Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster with the Rev. Dr. James Christensen and Rev. Leo Keil officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made the the Building Fund at Trinity United Church of Christ, 150 E. North St., Wooster.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home.
Surviving are her children, Mrs. Edward (Janet) Hilton Grandy of Frankfort, Ill., Mrs. Donald (Peggy J.) Moder and Stephen R. and Susan Ellis, all of Wooster; stepchildren, Sandy Lee of New Hampshire, John Lee of North Carolina and Tami Rich of Florida; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

William Ensley
ORRVILLE -- William A. Ensley, 85, formerly of North Milbourne Road, Orrville, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at the home of his daughter in Massillon.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. David Daum officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife Marian (Henry) Ensley of Massillon, to whom he was married 61 years; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Herb Kirker of Jackson Township, Massillon; grandson and his wife, Scott and Marlene Kirker of Uniontown and a brother, Virgil Ensley of Hubbard.

Donna Young
RITTMAN -- Donna P. Young, 52, 251 Industrial St., died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at her home.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with the Rev. Michael J. Cornelius officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Harrisville, W.Va., to Manford D. and L. Evelyn (Jenkins) Digman and married Bobby E. Young. He survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Bob and Debby Young, Sherri and Allen Griffith and Patty and Doug Berger, all of Rittman, Mike Young of Barberton, Steve and Michele Young of Atwood and Todd Young of Hiram; 17 grandchildren; her parents of Navarre; a brother, Rod Digman of Massillon; and a sister, Marilyn Dorak of Canton.

Dorothy Lydic
MILLERSBURG -- Dorothy (Hipp) Lydic, 78, of Millersburg, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 19, 1999, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 1 p.m., at Millersburg Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Long and Pastor Steven Ritter officiating. Private family burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions be made to Millersburg Faith Lutheran Church; or Hospice of Holmes County.
She was born May 17, 1921 in Greer to Ralph P. and Ruth (Young) Hipp and married William J. Lydic on May 9, 1943. He survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Lynda and Jan Menuez of Millersburg, Virginia and Peter Campbell of Nashville, Susan and Byron Day of Versailles, Ky., and James C. and Patricia Lydic of Zanesville; grandchildren, Kyle V. Menuez, Andrea Smith, Adam P. and Matthew Campbell, Anissa Johnson, Molly Beavers, Mindy Schodorf, Venus Hewitt, Celina Lanier and Clint Lydic; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Madison Menuez, Stephanie, Kaila and Kennedy Smith, Mandy and Tony Glessner, Alexis, Andrew, Hunter and Chase Campbell, Mara Snyder, Matthew Johnson, Gage and Nate Beavers, Marissa and Adrianna Hewitt; a sister, Betty Jones of Akron; and brothers, John Hipp of Millersburg and Frank D. Hipp of Leesburg, Fla.

Esther Starner
KILLBUCK -- Esther P. Starner, 76, of Killbuck, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, after a long illness.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. David Carrick officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to American Diabetes Association, 937 High St., Worthington 43085-4020.
She was born July 9, 1923 in Polk to Clyde and Hilda (Raubenolt) Austin and married Carl E. Starner on March 1, 1946. He died Jan. 22, 1993.
Surviving are sons, Randy Starner of Killbuck, Rick Starner of Big Prairie, Ronald Starner of Millersburg and Robert Starner of Sugarcreek; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Clyde Austin of Bellville; and sisters, Ginger Hanawalt and Avalon Pickworth, both of Mansfield.

Larry Hupp
WOOSTER -- Larry Glenn Hupp, 56, of Armstrong Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
Friends may call Saturday from 2-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Surviving is his wife, Marie (Poole) Hupp, whom he married Aug. 10, 1968.
